Legitness. Nice park. Worth the trip.
Absolutely truly amazing. I never thought a skate park like this would be in baton rouge when I moved here. From the 2 times Ive gone, seems like the skaters are nice and non judgmental to new skaters. Highly recommend
Im so glad that Ritas Italian Ice is there to provide us sweet treats.
Place is very nice to have a party or picnic or skating or basketball lol just about anything. Its Peaceful aswell and alot of room
Many things to do: run, play soccer, ride bikes, skateboard, etc
It’s a nice park kind of surprised to see something like that good for the kids to have something like that the velodrome of children’s park the baseball fields the sidewalks they really fix that place up nice
We live in Lafayette where it has no place to skate and this place is a gem for us. Its a very spacious friendly environment. Has good bike trails around the park to cruise if your not a trickster. Bring your skateboards, scooters, bikes, or roller blades. Also has a nice park for the smaller kids nearby. The bmx dirt track is awesome as well. Again, very friendly staff and friendly skaters who dont mind giving helpful tips to beginners. Very much worth the drive!
Had fun with my child and brother and watched them play volleyball that was very exciting
Great park for any skater of any skill level. Really enjoyed skating there when I lived in BR (2017-2018). Bowl is awesome!
Awesome skate park with plenty of area for skateboarding and bmx.
Such a great skatepark! The place is leaf-blowed daily from what Ive experienced. There are lots of events that are so much fun to watch. On weekends theres a gelato stand which is nice on hot days. Lights turn on at sundown which is great during an all day skating session.
My seven year old boys love bringing their scooters and watching the big kids doing tricks!
Very good
What a great velodrome. Wish the city/parks dept would allow some adjustments to be made
Nice
Nice bmx track beginners to advanced.
BREC IS A GREAT PLACE TO SKATEBOARD!
Cool skatepark. Big and spread out, with lots of flatland to cruise through. Plaza style street area with lots of ledges and manual pads of varying heights, several rails, and a kinda-too-big bank to bank jump with no ramps to get speed for. It would work better if it was a foot or so shorter and mellower. There is a fun beginner area/minibowl that is 2 open bowls connected by some rolled-lip banks and volcanoes, a big snake run style flow bowl that goes from 6-8’ with a 10’ clamshell, and a gnarly 7-10’ pool with tile a pool coping, with a solid foot of vert all throughout. The 7’ shallow is tight and hard to ride, the 10’ deep is like a big open keyhole. The coping needs to be sauced badly, and needs some seams re-grouted. Overall, a fun and well-built park, just no intermediate stuff- it’s all green slopes or double black diamonds.
Always nice and well kept! Good central location!
Great park for all levels of experience, even geezers like myself. Lots of ledges, curbs, variety of banks and transition, manny boxes, rails, planters, etc. Well-maintained with water fountains and restrooms.
Has steel bowls for expert vert skaters. Rails for expert street skaters. But don’t worry, there are plenty of spot here for beginner and people trying to reach expert status. Well rounded place.
Yooo, this big was mad sick, I was RIGHT THERE when joe fell the big bowl and ate it. H A R D very tight setup, Im wit it.
