I love this Coffee Shop! When I walk in, Im always greeted with a smile. The sweet treats are delicious. My favorite treat is the lemon bar. Its perfect! Its not too sweet and the texture is spot on for me.
They make some good Cake Balls here. From red velvet, praline, & devils food. Blueberry and Banana nut muffins are good also. There Mocha and other specialty coffee are good also. My favorite is slice of gluten free lemon pie.
The place has a fun vibe, and the cake balls are worth their weight in gold.
Free WiFi, outlets near some tables, generally quiet during the day except during the lunch rush (good place to work from). They sell sandwiches, coffee, and cake balls. Try the cake balls, that’s what makes this place special v other coffee shops.Cool art for sale inside. Really neat atmosphere. Owner apparently has strong community roots, as I hear her name dropped in the most random places (always positive).
The young Lady behind the counter was a pleasure to talk with, the coffee was good and fresh.
I visited the afternoon of Aug. 9th, 2020. Cake balls were good, but as a coffee geek, I was especially impressed with the quality of the espresso. They roast their own beans, and the doppio I had was quite nice. My only complaint is that it was served in a double cup and a sleeve, which seems wasteful. I wrongly assumed it would be served in a demitasse by default, but you have to ask for it I guess. But the main reason I wanted to write a 5-star review was the extraordinary service. The barista was welcoming, pleasant, and knowledgeable. She was patient in answering all my coffee geek questions, and even went beyond what I expected. Altogether, it was a great experience!
I’d just gotten into Baton Rouge after an eight hour drive from Atlanta and decided to try this place because it’s a small business and women led.Upon walking in we were not welcomed. Being someone who has worked closely with small business and also corporation this has always been important to me. It was more of an awkward silence and me greeting myself into the establishment while the workers just stared at me. A friendly welcome would have been appreciated. For the owner.. around 3 pm, July 3.This could have been because I wasn’t wearing a mask. I was unaware it was a Baton Rouge mandate and it surprised me that they didn’t inform us upon coming in.The decor is awesome. This is a place I would study at regularly if I were local. I love the art, the layout, the room with the couches, the small library, the lighting. I think it’s great this shop displays local art for sale as I am one myself. The coffee, it’s okay. We ordered a dirty chai and a regular latte. The latte was sour - almost as if the shot was dead or the machine wasn’t pulling right. My dirty chai was fine. It’s a sweeter drink so there isn’t much to comment on.As far as price and size go I read repeatedly that they’re one of the cheapest in town. We ordered medium iced drinks but it’s smaller than a Starbucks grande and smaller than a small at previous establishments I’ve been to. $5 and change for it. If the cup were a little bigger I wouldn’t mind the charge, but it just didn’t seem worth it because the coffee wasn’t spectacular. The cake balls looked beautiful. I didn’t try any but they were tempting. Several flavors available and made at the shop. All in all, I wish I could rate a 3.5. It was between a 3-4 and I didn’t give the four because of the mediocre service and mediocre coffee. Atmosphere is fantastic though. I wish you guys good business.
My buddy and i sit and have a cup. Before we walk around the nieghbor hood for our morning excersice.
I ordered from here today (uber-eats), I was amazed! The breakfast was absolutely perfect. Everything in my order was SO SO fresh, I had no idea this was a coffee spot. Defiantly going to order from here again, after this pandemic is over I will most certainly be going here! :)
I always have a great experience at Brew Ha Ha. Love their cold brew! Best in town!
Love this space. Plenty of room and plenty of art on the walls. A great meeting place and a space to relax. Very enjoyable.
Great coffee drink selections, great service, great vibe.
Great for coffee and a chat with friends.
This is a wonderful hangout, a bit beyond your typical coffee shop, very spacious with many places to meet, good coffee, and a large variety of other food (including sugar free granola bars from Our Daily Bread)
Gluten free cake balls! Great atmosphere, nice local small business. Amazing custom treats perfect for kids birthdays.
Very nice! Dont go by appearances, the place is huge. Oh! My caramel frappuccino was delish.
Delish
The vibe here is really cool - but the two times I’ve been here I’ve been disappointed. First time, the employee didn’t stir the flavoring in my cup and handed me a bagel that wasn’t toasted or had the cream cheese on it. Just figure it wasn’t a self serve place. Second time my cappuccino was just okay.
Nice, quaint coffee shop. Pricey. My girlfriend ordered a Small drink called a “Ha” and was charged $4.95 for a concoction of ice, a squirt of caramel, and “espresso”. The cake balls, pastries, and cookies looked delicious.
Brought cake balls to a pot luck sport watching party at the suggestion of a teammate. They were a big hit. While I was there I learned they will roast coffee soon. Definitely plan to visit again. Nice, laid back vibe. Interesting local art on display.
There are not enough words for me to express how much we love this place. We come here all the time. We come for group gatherings, for lunch and just because we are bored. We are here twice a week easily. We always get the friendliest service and most excellent food and drink. Thank you guys so much!
Great meeting place for business!!
Yesterday Baton Rouge was experiencing an absolute downpour. I had been wading water in traffic for nearly 2 hours and I finally made it over to mid city. Nothing sounded better than a cup of coffee. I want to thank the Barista”bots” for staying open and serving customers even when we were under a flash flood warning. I also want to thank the sweet girl who went to the back to find my favorite flavor of cake balls that weren’t in the display case. You just simply served me with a smile and it was very much appreciated.
Iced Vietmamese coffee
Friendly staff make this locally owned and operated coffee shop / cake ball emporium a delight. Recently expanded into adjoining space Brew Ha-Ha provides plenty of space whether you want to be alone with your latte or have a meeting with others. I have yet to be there for their breakfast or lunch offerings but suspect they will rise to the overall excellent standards shown in their other offerings.
Good place great job...good people
One of the greatest spots in the city. Staff is kind and so is the owner. all around great place.
Great latte, and super cute cake balls. Plenty of flavors to choose from - wedding cake, turtle, caramello, banana, and many more. Lots of vegan, gluten free, keto, paleo, etc options. Super friendly owner. Nice space - its a lot bigger than it looks from the outside!
I always enjoy coming inn and enjoying the art on the walls, the coffee is definitely a bonus
Cool, casual art gallery and coffee house off Jefferson Highway and Claycut. Good coffee, lots of sweets, including: muffins, cake balls and fudge. However, this morning also offered two keto plate breakfast options. I tried the keto biscuit with bacon, egg and spinach. The biscuit probably made of almond flour and bit of cheese. Generous three pieces of bacon, fried egg and spinach was served in small iron skillet to keep warm. Well done!
Go here often, comfortable place to work... service is great and their latte is a great start for the day
Very calming and unique atmosphere. Major expansions since the last time Ive visited. Pro tip: when ordering iced coffee, make sure to say how much ice you want. Otherwise, there will be only 4 sips of coffee. So much ice I had to force the straw into the cup. Cake balls are always great.
Great cake balls! loved the blueberry lemon!
Chantilly, Hawaiian, Star Crunch and many more cakeballs to enjoy. On top of that, food to choose from. Try the Dirty Chai its amazeballz
This isnt just your ordinary coffee shop. If you have specific preferences, this is the place to go. (Of course, they do serve the regular coffee drinks you can find elsewhere.) They serve dairy-free products like every other coffee shop, but they also offer baked goods that appeal to vegetarians, vegans, or individuals looking for keto-friendly options. And please stop by the cake ball case!! You wont be disappointed with the numerous options. This is also a great place to host your small meetings or get togethers. There is so much sitting room here. Its situated among other local shops if you feel like exploring!
Iced chai is amazing! (Its literally the only drink Ive ever ordered here because its so delicious!) Cake balls are equally delicious. Bright, colorful, and diverse environment.
Great coffee, cake balls and I love the lunch sandwich menu. The employees are super nice & always greet me with a smile. Brew Ha Ha has become my favorite place to hang out with my friends. The atmosphere is comfortable & the local artwork hanging throughout the coffee shop gives it a great community vibe/feel. My friends & I go several times a week. :)
Im always greeted with a friendly face and great customer service when I go here. It is a great place to get some work doneb while enjoying the chill vibes.
The dress code makes it feels like a Hooters instead of a place of intellect
I am a traditionalist so this trendy cafe was not to my liking. Nothing easy on the menu as everything had something weird in/on it. Full of laptop captured, headphone wearing, latte sipping trendies. One even took off his shoes & socks to have a nap on a lounge. Overpriced everything.
Ive been to Brew Ha-Ha sporadically over the years and Ive enjoyed every visit. They have an excellent chai latte and coffee in general. Their cake balls are mouthwatering and I always try something new when I go in. The café is small and cozy and the staff have always been kind. This area tends to have all kinds of unique and artsy events. Parking is a pain, but this is Mid-City. I expect the worst. Just prepare to spend a while looking for a place to park.
I cant help but to reiterate how awesome this place is. Ive been going there since the day it opened, and to this day, its run with the same excitement and enthusiasm as it did the first day it was open. Everyone who works here, especially the owner, is so friendly, always smiling, always in a good mood, and always goes above and beyond the service received anywhere else just to make sure you get what you want and to make sure youre happy. Its easy for all the positive energy to rub off on you and make you happy no matter how bad your day is going. I could be having the worst day of my life, but spending 5 minutes here always lifts my spirits and gives me the energy to finish the day. And no, its not the caffeine.
If youre looking for good coffee in Baton Rouge, treat yourself to Brew Ha Ha. The atmosphere is welcoming and the baristas are on top of their game. My dirty chai was fantastic. If youre a Baton Rouge native or just passing through, do yourself a favor and grab coffee (or whatever treat you think of) and visit Brew Ha Ha.
Fun food options portions a little small. Good coffee not great coffee awesome treat options
Went today for lunch. very disappointing. Matcha latte made with vanilla almond milk-ugh. Remade with regular and tasted like a glass of milk-very little matcha in it. ordered the ashley sandwich which might as well have been 2 pieces of toast stuck together-almost empty in between. Ordered side of fruit which was forgotten, when asked for it was given a scant handful of blueberries and 3 wilted strawberries. Staff clearly disinterested in what they were preparing. Stick to the cake balls and dont try to pretend youre a cafe. completely uninspiring experience.
Great coffee, great cake balls, fun and friendly staff. Try the peanut butter dizzles and matcha latte with soy, both my favorites!
I have come here every morning since I discovered the place. Great coffee, atmosphere, and service. It is one of my favorite places in Baton Rouge and I love that it supports and helps out other small businesses in the area.
Good quality espresso/coffee beverages. Their lunch options are limited but also good. It is one of the only places in town with avacado toast so it has that going for it?Cake balls are one of their specialties and they always have a lot of flavors.
I live this place people are so friendly, coffee is really good. I love those little cake balls - they have all these different flavors.
Fantastic atmosphere & friendly staff.
Always happy with service and refreshments
Original, cozy and comfortable.
Here is where you will find the most AWESOME cake balls and fabulous coffee in Baton Rouge!
Excellent dirty iced chai! Had to get a 2nd!
This is the only place in town I trust to make a hot chai latte. I like the consistency here, both in terms of quality and service.Id be remiss not to mention the cake balls. You might want to steer clear of them because once youve tasted dessert bliss in a bite size package, youll be hard pressed to deal with the temptation.
Good seating, coffee and delightful sweets! We spent a very enjoyable hour here. Recommended.
Best known for cake balls, which are basically fancy frosted donut holes (Im not a fan, although they are popular around here and are a delight for kids). Okay chai. Quiet atmosphere. Love the art and the well-stocked Little Free Library full of childrens books.
Been coming to Brew Ha-Ha about 3-4xs a week since it opened 11-12 years ago shortly after Perks Coffee closed. Thats a lot of money spent on my coffee addiction, that I will try not to think about. Told myself when my coffee drink gets over $5 that I will have to resort to making it at home. Sometimes you just price yourself out of business. I never thought I would see the day you would be more expensive than Starbucks. Good luck!
Overpriced. paid $4 for iced coffee which isnt even cold brew. tasted like burnt hot brewed coffee. can get legit cold brew at ccs or starbucks for $1 less. magpie is pricey too but at least their cold brew is good.first time here. I do like the shop itself. seems like a nice place to hang out and staff was nice but coffee is pretty terrible for $4.
As out of towners we like to find great breakfast places to eat at, Brew Ha-Ha far exceeded our expectations. The service, food, and coffee were all magnificent. We will miss this place once we leave and go back home, though we will most likely return the next time we visit BR.
I like the coffee, but I love the cake balls (banana pudding is my favorite). Cozy, artsy atmosphere with tables inside and outside. Good for coffee dates, reading (they have a few shelves of books), or studying.
Great coffee and even better cake pops
Good coffee and great cake balls. Also has some Cafe food options and has art from one artist on the walls all for sale to my knowledge.
Great coffee, cakes and a little library
Super good coffee and a great meeting place!
Love the records and art on the walls. There is an industrial look and feel with a nod to old-fashioned music scene.
Had a cake ball cake made for my wedding!! Gabby at Brew Haha did an amazing job on the cake!! Everyone thought it looked so beautiful and it tasted delicious too!! Definitely recommend Brew Haha to anyone interested in a cake ball wedding cake!
Wonderful environment, great coffee, and I was recently wowd that the banana pudding balls tasted EXACTLY like banana pudding. Brew Ha Ha is a terrific supporter of our community through hosting local events, a great free little library and by supporting our neighborhood association. THANK YOU, Brew Ha Ha!
Great place, try the cake balls! Employees are wonderful, full of happiness and smiles. Cant say enough good about this place.
Cute environment! Great coffee and cake balls. Love the uniqueness and art!
Amazing little gem! Will definitely be returning.
The coffee was okay... The atmosphere was nice. I would go back, but it wouldnt be my first choice.
A welcoming place if youre looking for somewhere to study, read, or converse. Locally owned and operated!
Friendly staff, unique and varied menu, great atmosphere!
Love the atmosphere and artistic energy of this sweet, tucked away coffee shop. Their egg and cheese croissant is delicious!
Was ok. Coffee was ok.
The coffee and cake balls are great!
Great Carmel macchiato! Groovy atmosphere!
Great coffee excellent staff far better coffee than Starbucks for a much better priceJust dont go with a sweet tooth but if you doThey have a cure for it
Great cake balls and coffee. Wish they offered more food items.
Nicest owner and employees! Cake balls are a real treat. Really relaxing, neighborhood feel.
Great coffee and delicious cake balls. Love the foos too!
Nice Business. Tasty cake balls and everything is reasonably priced.Close to home and super cute staff also.
Great ambiance, relative to other Baton Rouge places; cool art rotates steadily, low music. Espresso is just okay, typical CCs, Starbucks level. Italian sodas offered; a refreshing alternative to coke. Im glad its around the corner. Theyre down with the mid-city vibe and encouragers of creative Baton Rouge.
Small, quiet coffee shop with hot / cold drink menu items, baked goods and items from local merchants.PROs:- wide variety of delicious beverages- indoor and (limited) outdoor seating availableCONs:- food items are overpriced- the shared parking lot is difficult to turn out ofItems ordered: iced chai tea latte, spiced cake
Great local coffeehouse with a large variety of delicious cake bites! Friendly staff and quiet interior for studying or working.
Fantastic coffee and food. Super friendly staff
I am typically hypercritical; however, brew ha ha had me at the first visit. Gabby is a delight and though I am sure people have laughed the ha ha of her company name daily... When I did it she made me feel it was her first time.As for the cost of her signature delight, I get these balls for myself and clients because they are a marketing gold mine.So if you feel depressed, tired or lost... Type, ask Siri or google brew ha ha and have a ball. #brewballs
Love this gem in Mid City. The best chai in Baton Rouge. My favorite is the spicy chai. If you get a chance, try the cake balls. You can never have just one.
Hands down best coffee shop in Baton Rouge. Nicest owner and the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. Wether your stoping by before work for coffee, or after work for some cake balls, or just need to use the Free WiFi, this place is most certainly worth a visit.
.Vampire lipstick, tattoos, and ungroomed eyebrows. Get ready to be greeted by a freak! If you want to be thrown out the door, go to this rat hole. Rude staff. Extremely rude to be honest. And they dont even have To Go menus. Losers.
Great spot
Another bright spot for Mid-City. But keep me away from those satanic cake balls, please. Once I start, I cant stop.
Lovely Staff and delicious drinks. Keep it up guys!
Very quaint and chill place to have a cup of coffee.
One of the worlds great coffee shops. If you dont get it, you dont get it. Only the spawn of Satan himself would give Brew Ha Ha a bad review.
The coffee was excellent! Will be making this a regular stop.
Awful. Latte tasted terrible. Staff was more than rude. So if you like cheesy ppl, this is the place for you
