The without ambiance is the party rental style chairs with the personality of a spaghetti supper in church basement. As for food, its good. They refer to family recipes of longstanding, but recently I enjoyed the Riverboat sandwich. The chipotle pepper mayo really brought up the flavor profile of the entire sandwich.

Although this is not a cafe anymore, It is now a fantastic venue for medium receptions and gatherings. The full size professional grade kitchen cant be beat! Close to downtown, secure and fun local vibe. Id highly recommend for receptions, meetings, birthdays etc....you can even use an outside caterer!

My friend and I chanced on good live soloist guitar singer while we ate lunch there today. The food was delicious, the service great (they really do treat you like family), and the art gallery provides a unique pleasant ambiance. I bought one of their homemade canned fruit jelly too!

Pat and Janet are absolutely wonderful hosts and treat you like family as you come through the door. Its a quiet place with a very pleasing atmosphere. The artwork is always very ample and varied through time. Oh...and the food!? Ive never had a meal there that wasnt just better than perfect. The Pirogue with pasta salad is a favorite but the specials each day will be top notch and always good. You cant go wrong going to this place....Im a proud regular customer.

This is one of my favorite little eating spots downtown. If someone didnt tell you about it you likely wont find it though. Its soups are the bomb and in a fresh bread bowl are impossible to go wrong. The crawfish bisque reminds me of my grandmothers and is by far one of the best in town. Labor of love to stuff all those little heads. =)Sandwiches are all good but my favorite is the shrimp salad sandwich called The Gulf but the club sandwich is def my second favorite and its called The Captain Beauregard. Charming place, great atmosphere, always great artwork for sale on the walls thats very affordable.
