Osamequin is a beautiful little spot right along the Wampanoag Trail in Barrington. It is flat, the trails are well marked and there are many nice little benches set up in very good locations to sit and enjoy views of 100 Acre Cove. There are very nice views of the salt marshes. I find it very tranquil just before sunrise when the mist covers everything. You can walk most of the trails in well under an hour and it would be a good place to take the kids for a short walk.
Short but sweet. Slightly wooded area along the bay. Have seen lots of wildlife here.
Nice trails, easy walking for younger children. Pretty scenery. Some trails include traffic noise but most dont.
Not really anything special. I am not sure if we entered on the wrong side but we weren’t able to go near the water because it was closed off. It was a very quick loop around the path. Did not see any wildlife, just a lot of bugs. Was hoping to go for a nice hike but was rather disappointed. Once we left I did notice there was another entrance down further and maybe that one has better views and a longer trail.
What a great park to walk your dog great clean pathways with lots of beauty and nature also gorgeous water views. You will love it . Enjoy
Very well marked easy trail great views with benches throughout.
Beautiful nature trail. I went with my wife and son and they loved it. We saw a osprey and a heron. Its really well maintained. We met a nice couple with two dogs. We saw lots of little bird houses. The wild grass was beautiful. Its really close to little towns so we got some nice seafood dinner afterwards. On a hot day you can find some shade under the trees. they have also set up benches around the water so you can relax and watch the birds with binoculars.
Beautiful spot. It’s short and not the best marked but there is a great mix between coastline and woods. Go during low tide. It is off a main road, so it is noisy. Kids love to explore for crabs and other creatures.
Lovely little nature reserve. Dogs are allowed on leash and the paths lead to the water which is wonderful. I often see people with their children or painting. It is well used and well maintained.
Nice small trail, fairly easy, the view is
Nothing is sacred to us, everyone knows our business, Yes!We were here, quiet, peaceful conservation areas and cool spots. Parking can be difficult ! God Bless All
Great small coastal preserve with easy, rambling walking trails. Find your way here for a pleasant afternoon of walking in woods and fields, with the smell of saltwater wafting in the breezes. There is a nice observation shelter to see what birds and other animals are doing in a saltwater marsh, unique wooden walkways to keep you out of the much, and many spots to stop and take in the view.Make sure you come at low tide so you can see the fiddler crabs hiding in their burrows
Love it there ! Good place to bird watch and take photos. Not a huge place but worth checking out. Recommended !
Nicely maintained trails. Beautiful views of the water and plenty of parking. Do not expect a long hike but it is great for a quick outing.
Love it there. I take my dog and we both enjoy the trails. Very relaxing!
Absolutely beautiful place with alot of birds. Very peaceful Id hike again!
This is a great place for a nature stroll. A few muddy trails so be careful after rains. Pretty flat, easy for little ones to navigate, do not recommend using stroller although may be possible on some trails with jogging stroller or bigger wheels. A few different trail options that connect to make a nice loop.
Fun area to walk around or kayak, lots of birds in coastal area. Only downside is right off the highway and can hear cars. Otherwise very zen.
Nice little trail for a quick nature stroll but if you are looking for a true nature hike this might not be the right spot. The positives: Trails are very well marked. There is a nice water view as you stroll and a couple of benches for sitting and admiring the water. And there are birds and little crabs to see. The negatives: The trails are fairly short. It can get a bit muddy especially after rain or snow. And because it is right beside the highway the traffic noise is audible through out the trails and detracts from a true nature immersion.
Very peaceful and beautiful.
Nice to see mother natures beauty !
Beautiful 42 acre wildlife sanctuary along the pristine Hundred Acre Cover with 1.5 miles of trails. Dogs allowed on leash. 10 car parking lot right off Route 114 North. The Rhode Island Land Trust Council has a great website that talks about this refuges history and provides a trail map. Be careful here, youll encounter odd characters roaming about every once and a while.
Amazing place to walk. A few bridges that might be tricky for people who have foot problems but worth it. Trails are marked with colors I got a trail map off the internet. The views are beautiful.
Not a bad place to hike
Beautiful view. Great walk.
Nice place for a walk. The trails are very short though.
Nice walk but didnt see any wildlife
