What an amazing orchestra! I was fortunate to have an opportunity to work with Symphony Number One in this summer. It was a wonderful experience! As a composer, I was amazed by how great the performers are and how much they have dedicated to new music! Symphony Number One has brought world class performances and a wide range of wonderful music to our community. It is the ensemble I will definitely recommend to my friends and continue to support as much as I can. I am looking forward to their coming season. Please check it out, it gonna be amazing!

The Mount Vernon Place Conservancy was pleased to work with Symphony Number One over the past six months to bring a free concert featuring this group to Mount Vernon Place in August 2017. Little did we know when we first began discussions, that it would feature over a dozen new works that were premiered that evening to a huge crowd. Symphony Number One was excited about performing for the community as we were to have them!

This is one group to watch out for in Baltimore! If you thought classical music was a thing of the past and that composers were all long dead and the stuff of history books, think again. Im a huge fan of Symphony Number One, first because they are incredibly talented and a young orchestra trying to make their mark, but also because of what they do. They will take an emerging composer and commission them to compose a substantial piece which they will Premier alongside an established (famous, sometimes alive and sometimes dead) composers work. Its edgy, its totally unique and you never know what you are coming to listen to. They are based in Baltimore but I think and hope that they will be known all over the globe. They deserve it.

Symphony Number One is awesome! I was involved in their concert in Mount Vernon Place (Baltimore) in August 2017 - their team was professional and entertaining, and they went above and beyond the call of duty for this show. They called on emerging composers to write original pieces to premiere at the concert, and one even wrote a special piece dedicate to the venue. We loved collaborating with SNO on the concert, and look forward to many more in the future!

This is an amazing ensemble filled with some of the finest players in the Baltimore area. I appreciate their artistry and their commitment to playing accessible music to bring communities together.
