AsanaRoots is my favorite yoga studio by far and I do A LOT of yoga! The Acroyoga classes are accessible, challenging and SO FUN! Eric and Kelly are talented instructors who make an intimidating practice available to all ages and fitness levels. The flow and kriya instructors are skilled and welcoming and create a wonderful yoga experience. I’ve driven over an hour to take classes here. It’s totally worth it!!!

This studio has such strong community values, you can see this in how friendly and supportive the environment of each class is. The teachers range over many styles and offer students an eclectic variety of instruction. The space itself is also really beautiful and calming as soon as you walk in the door. So much positive energy!

I have been taking a variety of the morning yoga classes, and have attended about 15 classes. Yoga can be intimidating, but the Instructors are very knowledgeable, approachable, and patient. I normally dont stick with exercise classes beyond a couple of weeks, but for the past few months I have been consistently going to Asana Roots for at least one class or more per week. I highly recommend it for beginners and those who are more advanced. There are so many classes to choose from that youll find the class that fits your schedule and training level.

AsanaRoots is amazing! I am a summer graduate student and was sad to leave my favorite studio back home. I was pleased to find friendly faces, welcoming atmosphere, excellent teachers, and challenging practice. AsanaRoots is now my yoga home away from home!

Where do I start well.... Kelly and Eric are awesome! I have been taking their acroyoga class for a couple of months now and have learned so much. They show you each movement slowly and break everything down so everyone understands. They do the class in a progression so even if you are a seasoned yogi you feel challenged. They even do a 30 minute acroyoga jam after each class so you can work on certain movements with other students. Also the facility is beautiful. With windows to let in natural sunlight and exposed brick with yoga framed art.I have also taken a yoga class with Katie and she is awesome as well incorporating live music into her class.

AsanaRoots is a beautiful home. Its a place to be in communion with others - thats the aura of their classes and workshops. The owners, Eric & Ari, have the biggest hearts and offer a variety of yoga, meditation, and other wellness related classes/series/literally everything... all for so little cost to the members and drop-ins. Many things are also donation-based. They do this for the love of yoga and the love of life!I couldnt recommend coming to any class more... but perhaps could say the BEST acro class in Baltimore is at AsanaRoots every Wednesday at 7pm!

I take Capoeira Angola classes every Monday here at Asana Roots any they are wonderful. It an intense 2-hour full body conditioning workout. But more than that, its learning the movements, music, language, and applied wisdom of this wonderful tradition and becoming part of its global community. I cant recommend it more!

In response to the owner:Thanks for the response. Sadly, I think you missed why I am so dissatisfied. I called multiple times and sent a message through your website. The first time I got any response was through leaving a google review. This communicates that you care more about your public image than your clients...and instead of contacting me directly, you published personal details about my account to a public platform.I’m happy to hear that my membership for February was cancelled, though I wish I had received some sort of correspondence from your establishment directly so I knew what was going on. As I said in my initial review, I cancelled the autopay twice...the first time this happened I just went with it and decided to go with the membership. However, I would not expect to get charged AGAIN for the same “introductory” membership after cancelling autopay for a second time…If you want to know how you can be better in the future, I would recommend 1. finding someone to answer the phone 2. Responding to messages sent via your website 3. Address the usability of your website. I am fully aware of what autopay is and how it works and having someone explain to me what autopay is comes off as extremely condescending. In other words, a complaint about your autopay system does not equal user incompetence...Like I said in the beginning of my initial review, I really like this studio, the classes offered, and the teachers. Your business practices seem a little shaky. And yes. If you have not refunded the $30 please do so...Original review:I love this yoga studio and the variety of classes but unfortunately my debit card keeps getting charged without my authorization. Ive now cancelled out the autopay twice and still somehow have been charged twice for the same intro 30 day membership. Tried calling multiple times but no one ever answers the phone. Ive sent messages and gotten no response. Now my account is about to be overdrawn because of this charge I did not authorize. I wish there was a way to pay for memberships with cash...

Asana Roots is a beautiful studio with a wide variety of classes and great teachers. I started learning acroyoga here which is always a lot of fun! The teachers and students Ive encountered are personable and helpful, and the time flies by in every class.I highly recommend checking out this studio if youre interested in yoga at all. Drop-in classes are just $10, and the monthly/class pass rates are very reasonable. Im happy I found such a lovely place to learn yoga in Baltimore!

If you are looking for an offbeat, but serious yoga studio, you found it.AsanaRoots offers classes for $10. All classes (except for super special workshops and intensives) are only $10, which is a steal compared to most local fitness places. They use MindBody, which is an app that allows you to book classes, and purchase passes at a discount, too!If you are someone like me, who struggles to keep up with their yoga and fitness practice, this place is probably for you. Classes include Acroyoga, a full body workout that combines acrobatics and yoga, and other fascinating classes that focus just on handstands, alignment, body mechanics, etc.The teachers are welcoming and kind, and take the time to help you improve, and feel like a valued member of the community, even if it your first class. They also take the time to help you understand everything involved in your practice, not just where your feet should be!A year later I am adding to my review!AsanaRoots is such a diverse and vibrant community! People of all identities practice here! If you have ever felt you dont fit in in your yoga or movement community, you probably will here.

I started coming to AsanaRoots in October 2017 for meditation classes with Belinda Lau on Tuesday nights. I love attending these classes. So many places charge $10-20 for meditations, but Belinda hosts these as donation-based classes (and not paying is totally okay) for the well-being of the community. We usually start out with a meditation (I think its 15-20 minutes), followed up with a reading or recording (we have been doing Self Compassion by Kristen Neff), then ending with a metta meditation. The awesome thing about this class is that if someone comes to class struggling with something, we will have a class discussion about that topic instead of doing a reading. These discussions are completely safe and non-judgmental or confrontational.I have learned so much from attending these classes whether we follow the plan or not. I have learned how to understand my emotions and where they come from, and techniques to help manage my response to my emotions. I feel that I have become more compassionate to myself and others from these classes. I am grateful to Belinda and AsanaRoots for providing a safe place for this practice to the community.

My favorite studio - and Ive tried a few around the city. Beautiful space and beautiful teachers. They have some good vinyasa flow classes throughout the day along with some unique classes to get you a little out of your comfort zone. I like the intro to acroyoga class; its a really good work out and you meet lots of people. They also have interesting workshops (e.g., Thai massage, inversions, flexibility) and sometimes a community potluck. BONUS: they provide some lightly flavored water - for FREE - which amazing these days where youre charged for everything.

This is one of my all-time favorite yoga studios. Its also the best deal for yoga in Baltimore - all classes are $10, mat rental is free, and you can get a $65 unlimited monthly membership. Its a welcoming space for all levels, and the room itself is beautiful with exposed brick, warm in the winter, and lots of sunlight. All of the teachers are thoughtful and truly helpful, and they have a good variety of vinyasa, hatha, yin, kundalini, and even acro-yoga styles. (Plus you know how sometimes you get the feeling in yoga that your biggest meditation exercise is to ignore the teachers bad advice or weird habits? That NEVER happens at Asana Roots.) Whether you want a good strength-building workout or a deep zen bliss, this is your studio.
