Quiet park, access trough the path starting at Merrick road and walk through it until reaching the park, lost of mallards and geese and a couple of swans, seating available

One of the prettier small parks on LI south shore. Recommend walking north from Foxhurst Rd. Side and cross Wateredge Ave. By the waterfall. Walk to Merrick Rd. And reverse back to Foxhurst. About 1 mile round trip. On Foxhurst side cross bridge on pond. Theres a fascinating growth of bamboo on other side. Beautiful esp. in fall season.

Nice free attraction in Baldwin, Long Island NY. I did not see any swans during my visit, but there was a lot of geese. Relatively clean and quite a bit of parking, including a parking lot.

Love to go there and photograph to Geese, Ducks, Seagulls and Swans. Nice place to just sit in the sun have a bit and reflect. If you are going to eat bring enough for the waterfowls because they will follow you if you got food. Peace

Nice park in the middle of a suburban neighborhood but not very large only one trail. Dogs are not allowed and the park is an out and back as opposed to a loop so you have to double back to get back to the start. Lots of geese, ducks and turtules.

Lake Park is a pretty nice spot to go to. Theres animals like geese that you can feed and you can watch the water and scenery.

It was clean, quite and peaceful. The ducks are program to come and get food from ppl.

Goose poop is EVERYWHERE...all over the side walk and in the grass.The water is very trashy and murky. The railing is peeling paint and rusty.

Love this park, my girlfriend and i visit often and love seeing the turtles and birds. Though if your reading this dont feed the birds bread, its bad for them, bring em the good stuff, i got a cheap bag of bird feed from PetSmart thats safe for most birds and squirrels, that i take with me. Keep the animals and the surrounding terrain in mind and help keep this park healthy and clean when u visit enjoy.

Nice park in Hempstead with a pond great for walking through or walking your dog. Lots of ducks otherwise its a simple Park nothing for the kids other than grassy fields

Good place to walk. People feed the ducks, there are people riding their bicycles, and just really good vibes. Youll even see turtles, different types of fish, and ducks.

Just a lovely little place to sit quietly for a while or take an after lunch stroll. I sometimes have my lunch there.

Its a bit dirty. I dont know if its garbage blowing in from the road or if people are just irresponsible jerks but it needs serious cleaning.

Baldwin needs to do better about keeping it clean. There was a terrible odor coming from the water and there were bottles everywhere. Im very sad for the wild life

It looks like a very nice place, but being that Im from out of town and it comes up as a dog park is a little bit frustrating. Considering as soon as you pull in theres a huge sign that says no dogs! A little disappointed but at least they make recommendations of other dog parks in the area on there sign. Guess Ill try the next one!

So happy to see its a lot cleaner than last year when I was there. Need more work but still a nice place to go with my little son .

I grew up in Baldwin, and spent a great deal of time here. Sadly, it’s not just Silver Lake, but most of this town that’s seen a steady decline in the past 30 years. A once vibrant, safe and beautiful place to live no longer.

Its a nice little park. However, the duck poop litters the pond area and paths. It says no dogs but there are often people walking dogs, which is ok. Except the day a man let his dog get too close to my son in his stroller.

Nice park except for all the ppl letting their dogs go wild against the rules. No dogs allowed. Cant run w/o a mutt chasing u.
