We threw our 8 year old a birthday party here. We were able to reserve the entire building for several hours. It was very affordable! Every enjoyed them selves and staff were very helpful!!!

Nice place wish it was open longer but nice vibes calm nothing rowdy would come again

We had a birthday party for my 8 year old granddaughter all the kids had a blast. They skated for 3 hours got lots of exercise. I would recommend Skateland for party or just a fun day of skating for everyone.

Staff is friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The environment is very family oriented. The 3 year old had tons of fun!

The place to be if you are looking for a fun and cheap activity. Theres a kids skate free program that makes this really affordable for people with children. Really well priced and popular place to skate. On any given night there are skaters of every level, so be prepared to dodge some fallen skaters and be skirted by others. Its great for even very small children, there are skates of all sizes and those walker things. There are also roller blades to rent for a dollar extra if you dont like quads. Its fairly busy during the summer, but the music is great and everyone is really nice. The only bad thing is that it gets a bit hot with all the people in here in the summer, but there are fans blowing that provide a nice breeze and you almost dont notice the heat while youre skating.

This place is ok. The building is kind of old and needs some TLC. The place was hot we were sweating. They are working on getting Air conditioning so it was warm in there. On the positive side its affordable. We were there on First Tuesday of the month so it was the $2 day. $2 for admission and $2 for skates.

I choose skate land for my daughter 13th birthday because they were affordable and allowed to bring my own food. My daughter loved her birthday party. She liked it because she got to pick her own music and she loved the games. My daughter and her friends had lots of fun because we rented privately just for her friends and family. Thank you so much Skateland staff. And the staff were very nice and friendly. We hope to have my other daughter 13th birthday party next year. We Love skate land.

Reasonably priced and the staff is friendly. They do need to update the place though.. That green carpet is still their.

Fun family place

Skateland is fun but it is way to small u feel like your turning all the time and never going straight at rollerrama it is big and easier to skate at because your actually going straight and the prices at skateland are outrages my mom gave my cousin 2 dollars for a soda and she came back with such a small cup the large sodas were like 3 50! If u were to choose between rollerrama and skateland I highly recommend rollerrama

I hadnt been to a skate rink in years it was lots of fun this place could use an update in decor but besides that everything was great. Its great for kids not expensive at all. I paid 20 for my two kids thats including skate rental skate bar rental snacks and drinks. I read in another review that the snacks were movie theater price but most snacks range between 1$-2$ nachos and hot dogs 2-4 so not bad at all they also offer skate lessons for beginners saturday at 1 we will definitely be returning.

The outside was really sketchy and beaten up but the inside was nice. The rink wasnt beaten up and the amount of openings to the rink was great, it was really easy to get in and out of the rink.

Every time I go, I have an enjoyable experience and can’t wait to go back!

Nice facility. Only flaw is the snack bar is small and didnt seem to be able to handle multiple orders at once. Attendant was very apologetic though. She was sweet.

First time when it wasnt a roller derby bout. Lots of people. The skate helper things made it safe for the skater but some kids would dart out making it dangerous. Overall love the vibe and even skated in a race lol going back for sure!

The staff was so rude for no reason! I had asked them for some skates, and they had all kinds of attitude. Especially this old bald guy. Not only that, but the whole place as whole looks sketchy as heck. Last time I go there.

I had my daughters birthday party there and it was so awesome! The service was on point, the youngsters that were attending to us were very mindful of the food and drinks and making sure everything was running smoothly, I didnt have to worry about anything but having fun with my daughter, family and friends. Thank you Skateland for your awesome service and teaching your young servers how to be great workers in the community! Thanks again!

This place is iconic to Bakersfield. I learnt to skate here and most my friend and the neighbor hood lol for that part. It is a lil old and dated. Smells like the 70s but you cant beat this place. I hope they give it some tlc but there aint nothing wrong with the dust i love this place.

Skateland is a blast you can take your friends your family your kids you can take your spouse on a date its a great place to go for anything skating as a blast you can bring your own skates you can rent skates on Friday nights they have like a disco night kind of thing during the weekend it is a lot of fun to go there.

I fell a lot, but overall it was fun.

Recently had my daughters 10th birthday at Skateland. Helen made it easy to book, shes awesome. Katie, our host, was so helpful getting everything set up and checked in with us frequently. We all had a great time. Highly recommended!!

Had my sons birthday party here it turned out horrible the place is so hot everyone was drenched in sweat within the first 15 mins inside, the outlets did not work so my crock pots did not stay hot, their were younger kids there working who were wrestling on the floor while my party was going on and they knew nothing about the facility when I asked a question, and to think I paid for all this nonsense! Very disappointed in skateland! I will never return

My my kids and grandkids love going here such a great new place the new owners have really cleaned it up and took care of it it is now a great place for families to go to they always have a great Christmas program and a New Years Eve skate I hope everybody can come and enjoy it.

Skateland used to be the place to be growing up, very fond memories. Went to a party there tonight with my own kids and we felt like we were going to suffocate. Yes its summer, but it was overwhelmingly hot inside. The whole invited party was drenched in sweat. I felt like I couldnt breathe. It seemed almost unsafe for kids. The lady working the skate counter was very nice though. The young guy was unapproachable. It was nice to have skateland closed to the public for your party but as long as its that hot inside I wouldnt go back.

My daughter had her last twoB-day parties here. Now her friends are having b-day parties here. Needs better lighting in the party table areas for cake cutting Photo opps. We love everyone that works here !

Skate land is the best! went there as a child and my kids still go there now.birthdays,holidays, and just to go. I so happy to know that Skate land is still up and running just as great as it did as I was a child.

I love skateland its a place where I can go and have fun that is actually close to where I live. It has everything from food to fun I actually had my birthday party there for 3 years in a row and to this day I still go there every friday and Saturday. Still having fun
