THE PARK IT SELF NEED TO BE TOOKN BETTER CARE OF ILL SAY, THE MENS REST ROOM HAS THREE TALS BUT ONLY HAS ONE IN IT, NOT ONE THAT WORKS BUT ONLY ONE . THEN IF U WANT SOME WATER U HAVE TO BRING UR OWN, THERE ARE NO WATER FAUCETS. NOW AS FOR THE PARK IT SELF ITS A GUD PARK BUT IT CAN BE A BETTER PARK WITH BETTER CARE FROM THE CITY LIKE THEY DO THE PARKS IN THE SOUTHWEST. IM JUST SAYING ???

It was great we had Church in the park today and it was from the peoples Missionary Baptist Church it was great

The gym,tennis courts, basketball area,inside and out.the baseball field, community events, lets not forget about the pool, orspray park area.summer programs, study lounge, free meals, medical, cultural events. Dont forget about the June the activities starting this week, woo did I forget any things. Go to the Bakersfield parks and recreation Dept, for activities all around the county, also get stops at the park.have a great Summer!!

I love it my wife hates it. A lot of dope makes its way through this Park. Definitely not a good place for kids...

Nasty park, full of druggies and homeless people. I went to try to find a place to spend a little time outside and a quiet place to work on a novel. Did not happen. Bums bothering me every 10 minutes and then the one shaded place I sought out to sit was invaded by a noisy mother and her unruly children. Disgusting bathrooms, none of the benches have shade and far too many people with no repect for personal space. Find a better neighborhood.

I never go there in building before but I heard of this other park. Bakersfield California have two (2) parks : Martin Luther King Junior park and Martin Luther King community. one time to go voting in 2005 or 2006. I went there at several times on park since I was kid. I seen many different people. One thing surprised me when they left the park every night. Every morning, they come back to clean park. They clean well.

Police need todo more public serving rather then taking their job to seriously. Other then that and the drugs Bakersfield is ok

Its still a place where the older guys can hang out, grab some deep fried hotlinks. Just gotta watch your surroundings is all.

Its really fun there inside of gym there is a workout room basketball room play room for kids they feed everyone there i love it

Shared the Gospel with the people. Our church had an event there for hungry and the homeless. Had a pretty good time there.

I went in to this Center to enroll my daughters in the swimming lessons & all the staff was so friendly and helpful.

This is not the park to take your kids to as safe or drug free..However this is the park to provide clothing to the homeless, to do outreaches, provide sack lunches, etc. My brothers gathered a bunch of us up we made food passed out hygiene bags drinks told testimonies that is what should continue to be done allow God to reach these people...if you are on the water park side it is ok the kids had fun didnt know about the activity center but you still cant enjoy the grass picnic areas due to all the drug use...these people arent bad just lost need love that everyone has a story everyone

As far as the center its self they offer great programs for local kids but they park side is not the best needles on the floor lots of fights but the water park side I never had a problem

I go there all the time and play ball its really fun. But if u play full court and kids are already playing dont get in the way of them. Theyll get mad. And go tell the office so just play half court

Great place for the children to interact and learn together inside the community. Great staff, good equipment could always be improved.

Always good to be around friends and family

Needs to be cleaned up more often. Restroom was horrible. Playground filthy homeless people sleeping on the jungle gym kids couldnt even play. The picnic area has no electricity. Its like no one even care.

Many Community events happen there, which give much needed services to our City people in an area at their point-of-need.

Its a good place for kids and adults to enjoy themselves. Play indoor basketball, use the gym equipment, theres lots of activities for the kids.
