Normally I would have posted a pic but food looked so good I couldnt stop. The service was sociable and attentive. This place has a good atmosphere.

I had a very great experience. Wish I would have taken a picture of my steak, but it looked and was very tasty, delicious, and flavorful. Great time with guys from work. They had a class for line dancing, I think.very entertaining, then the live band came on stage to play. A must at least once, especially the cow.

The experience is one that is a must. The staff members are all happy and competent people. The museum is an added bonus. The bar is Elviss 1972 car that was custom made (only 3 made). Live music. Sold out seating on a weekday. Great experience-highly recommended!

Went for the Sunday brunch. Amazing! Only $28 after tax, alcohol is extra outside of mimosas. Food was great, lots of choices. Staff was excellent! No live music for brunch but it is definitely made to accommodate it. If I am in Bakersfield with time to go for dinner and a show, I definitely will.

A MUST SEE if you are a Country fan. Live music, nice size dance floor. Looking at all the memorabilia was like opening a time capsule.

We were traveling to Los Angeles from Bay Area and stopped in Bakersfield for the night. We saw this establishment and decided to give it a try. This place is full of country memorabilia and history surrounding Buck Owens. There are multiple statues of country star legends. Super cool place. I highly recommend this place. They recommend reservations but we didnt know. We were a party of 2 and only had to wait about 15-20 minutes on a Saturday night, it was about 8:30. It was well worth the short wait. While we were waiting my son used the bathroom so they let him in and we knew we had to stay. Just watching the line dancing was entertaining. A local band called Stampede was playing, the were excellent. I had the burger and fries which was excellent and huge. Fries were hot and soooo good.

You get your table for the night so you can enjoy the show without feeling like your keeping someone else from their dinner. Food was good as was the music. Had Buck Owens favorite chicken fried steak. Was very good and big enough to share if you want room for dessert.

Didnt have the regular food. It is a nice place inside. Will have to go back sometime.

This restaurant is surely one of the tastiest place in the area. Every time I go there I am profoundly glad. They keep their high level service and the highest level of meals they give. You no doubt will love this place. Highly recommended.

We finally made the trip from LA to Bakersfield to visit Buck Owens Crystal Palace for Fathers Day brunch. It was kind of a last minute idea, so we didnt have reservations. It did take quite a while, but they do have coffee, water and iced tea while you wait. The lesson here is... definitely make reservations. Thats on me. Make sure you ask for a table, not the bar-like seating. Also, be aware that there is a second level as well where you climb 25 steps. Its fine... but thats a detail that is pretty relevant to some.The price at $36 was a bit excessive. I had read online it was $24 and other things that said $30 for special occasions, so the extra amount added up. I wish they put it on their website but I couldnt find that anywhere. So the value kind knocked a star off.The ambiance is outstanding! Its very cool. Its even cooler if youre a Buck Owens fan or Country music fan (which Im not) - but even I thought the ambiance was pretty awesome. They have a full sized car behind the bar and the whole place is designed like something youre more likely to find in Disney World. There are Buck Owen artifacts and memorabilia everywhere. Its just a very unique, (Ill say it...) STRANGE place... but that in itself is worth the visit!The staff were all very friendly and for such a busy day like Fathers Day, I thought they did a good job of staffing. Our waitress was lovely. The food was alright. Nothing to write home about... but as a Keto person, there was enough variety to get me full. But its definitely not incredibly high quality. It was fine.Given its one of a kind atmosphere... I highly suggest you try this at least once! If youre in LA, make a day of it! Visit the two Antique Malls nearby - One is in an old Woolworths building that still has that facade and working luncheonette. The other, Merry Go Round Antiques, has an old mine shaft in the basement! There are plenty of things to do - Visit the Kern County Museum, The Living Museum (a zoo), or the Natural History Museum (which we havent been to yet). Theres plenty of other cool things too!

The food was great and the waffles are amazing. The addition of the Christmas cookie station was a lot of fun. I dropped the stars because the service wasnt on par for what the palace is known for. Drinks were left unfilled and we had to chase our waitress down for service. I asked for coffee and water, but she forgot the water until I found her to remind her.

I mean...ok....everything is expensive. But you get free music and can walk the museum which is basically just along the interior walls. So, depending on who is playing could be totally worth it. We just had drinks, so I cant speak to the food. But a Ribeye for $42?...nah. The Sunday brunch looks to be the best deal they offer, $26.95 for adults with bottomless champagne. Maybe we will come back for that.

Not a good experience!6 pm reservation for 8.Three of us arrived at 5:30pm and we were told they would not seat us until all eight arrived. We were told that people held reservations for large groups and only showed with two or three.We have been attending concerts for 5 years and always had the number of guests we reserved. NO EXCEPTIONS!Because it was to late to change our parties destination we elected to stay. At 630 our last couple arrived and we were finally seated. Our servicer apologized for our inconvenience. Service was good. Some food was cold.That was our misfortune. Someone needs to straighten up their business model.Good service and good food in the past...... who knows about the future at the Crystal Palace

There is pretty much, not a bad seat in the house. We have seen quite a few live concerts here. And don’t forget to enjoy a great meal as well.

Reasonable brunch. Lots of choices and bottomless mimosas for $29. Chili Verde was on the money for a non Mexican restaurant. I dont do omelet or waffle bars but if you wanted to they appeared to have plenty of choices. Staff was friendly, serviceware was clean. I do wish there were more veggies besides salad available but who goes to brunch for vegetables?

Had wanted to try for some time, so did on Friday night. Overall... pretty good. Food above average, service very good too. A bit pricey, but for a small cover charge, live music. Music, of course, too loud... ears still ringing six hours later. Will go back.

Service was pretty bad and I was treated poorly as a single diner. I was stuffed between 2 couples at a high top bar. It did have a great view of the stage. I was never offered bread that every other dining group got. I had to ask twice for things, like extra butter.The food was ok, the drink I had wasnt great and I was never asked if I wanted another one.

This place is awesome ! First time there and every employee was so nice and great service and after the band finished playing, Johnny Owens walked around the place meeting and greeting everyone !

What a fun night and delicious food!! I ordered a filet mignon with mashed potatoes and beans. Best meat I had in a long time. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection!! We had a table right across from the stage. The band playing was a lot of fun.

I havent been there since it opened and have since moved away. The thing that blew me away was looking at all the country music history and seeing a man standing there in a black hat and sun glassesin the darkness and then realizing that it was Buck himself standing by himself in the dark. We went with a group of us from work and had a nice little view next to the bar with this beautiful Cadillac that must have been Buck Owens. Our man Virgil was on the drums and made our night fantastic. Oh snap, the food was amazing. I got the top sirloin, it was completely amazing. I am excited to go back.

I have heard a lot about how amazing the brunch is at the Crystal Palace since moving here. We went for Easter Brunch, thinking it would be even more spectacular and amazing than what I have heard. Not the case. The food was mediocre at best (what wasnt cold), the selection was slim, and the price was ridiculous. I do have to say that every member of the staff we encountered were amazing and all had great attitudes. Appreciate the people, but would never go back.

That is such a great venue and a wonderful place to eat.When Mario Carboni is there he always put on a good show.

The museum is fairly big with lots of goodies not just from Buck Owens career but much more. The music is great. Ive been there many times and the entertainment is always top notch. The food is great country faire from Bucks personal favorite the chicken fried steak to mine, the okie nachos. Dont miss Elvis Nudie designed Cadillac hanging on the wall behind the bar. Buck Owens Crystal Palace is definitely a great way to spend a few hours and not too many dollars if you find yourself in the Bakersfield area.

Nice venue and there was live music, I didnt eat but I was told by colleagues the food was so-so.

Of course 5 stars,last week I went here and had the best time of my life and in my opinion they have the best ham and best people who will listen to you while you are getting your food, also they have statues in the front Wich helped me learn alittle about some country singers like Garth brooks,Jonny cash,ect and also had an Elvis presly statue and his car at the bar. ITS THE BEST THING IN MY LIFR

I attended a dinner meeting and it was a great venue. Friendly service staff and good food. They served a gathering of several hundred people quickly and efficiently. I was not seated in a good place to see the speakers but the video monitors helped. Overall it was a great evening.

My experience going to the crystal palace was very unfortunate. I called to make a reservation and arrived and was not able to get a table. After waiting an hour, I asked the kind hostess if it were possible to talk to the manager, because I understand there is only so much that they can do, but I was met with an aggressive attitude. I think the woman’s name was krista or Kristy? I was basically met with a, “well what do you expect me to do about it?”. The pure lack of customer service was astounding. I am sorry to say I won’t be back because of it.

Amazing! The food was great, the servicer was awesome, and me and my husband had a great brunch. You have a lot to choose from here. It is a little steep in price at $26.95 per person. However, that does include your drink and or bottomless mimosas.

Wow! What a place and experience! Who doesnt love great food paired with great music. I didnt get up and dance, but instead enjoyed my meal and watched some really good line dancing. The staff are amazing as well, very friendly and professional. The price is rite on for the huge portion you receive. Great appetizers or the best chicken fried steak in Bakersfield. And no suit and tie, or evening gown necessary, its casual! So wear your boots, and most comfy jeans. You wont be disappointed

Excellent service at the Beautiful Bar!We walked in, fortunate to be taken directly to the Bar. Food and drinks were very good. Amazing bartenders offering the history and stories about the Crystal Palace and Buck.

A really neat place with years and years of history and musical knowledge...along with a show and great food and service...this is a must see if you appreciate country music...buck owens was a man who really spanned country music over many decades

The prices are a little high. But its worth it for the atmosphere.

If your a fan of Buck Owens and want to see a lot of history from his long career this is the place to go. Food and live band with dance floor topped off a perfect night out. Make sure to check for events that happen throughout the week. Recommend making reservations.

Awesome show, delicious dinner. Really yummy steak. Looking forward to going back soon.We went to the Martin Barre concert. He was with the Jethro Till band for lots of years. They played lots if music from the old days and was amazing. I cant believe how nimble and smoothly his hands played his guitar. Wow! Looking forward to his next concert in Bakersfield in 2020. Wouldnt miss it for the world. Plan on being there, lets fill the place!!!

Last night at the Crystal Palace..., We had some great seats, great food and even better entertainment. I could not have asked for a better night out with some friends/co-workers. The Owner of the place I work for puts on these Guitar Master Events throughout the year and this year we had our Company Christmas Party here at this very special event...,Christmas with the Cranktones!!! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The place was setup very well. Despite it being a packed house there was still plenty of room for parking and it was very well lit. I would recommend the Crystal Palace to anyone for a great evening out... Merry Christmas Everyone! Remember, Jesus is the Reason for the Season.MRod>

People literally come from the other side of the planet to visit this place. It has changed a bit, but really not that much, since the passing of its namesake. they really do keep up the standards and treat it like the icon that it is. most Bakersfield icons and landmarks dont really get there do in this town, but Crystal palace is an exception. I hope they maintain their standards and even improve them going forward. They have a legacy to uphold. Food is actually pretty darn good.

I have heard on the radio of how Crystal Palace had the best Sunday brunch in town.I had a reservation for noon. We arrived on time, only to be told You are checked in we then waited and waited, 30 minutes later we were finally sat in the back row of the restuarant (I had requested something central because it was my husband and sons birthday and first time being there, I wanted their experience to be special).By now we are all very hungry. We walked down to the area where the buffet was, only to find dried out picked over unappealing food.We all tried a little of everything hoping it would taste better than it looked. There were a lot of different options to choose from. Awful was what we got.Yes they have a large selection of food, but maybe they should have a smaller selection with better quality food. Seriously dried out corn dog bites, chicken wings with only 3 remaining in the pan ( which were never restocked while we were there), dried out potatoes, shriveled up green beans, carved meats that was cold. We were very disappointed, $27 for this!!!We will never go back and will not refer anyone to the Crystal Palace for Sunday Brunch. Such a let down.

Neat venue with alot of memorabilia. Waitress was attentive. Food was average. Chicken fried steak was overpriced and kind of bland. Ive had better chicken fried steak for more than $10 cheaper. The honey sriracha wings were good. Nice blend of heat and sweet. Loved the Cadillac mounted on the wall behind the bar. If you ever loved Hee Haw or Bucks music then this is a nice place to visit.

KARAOKE AT THE CRYSTAL PALACE IS STILL THE BEST IN TOWN

We had a reservation for 5:30. Ordered drinks and food by 5:45. About 8:00 the food arrived..but they forgot a meal. Terrible service. Brought my kids for the first time and it was embarrassing. Server expressed they were backed up....yet tables next to us came and went twice. Crystal palace used to be great....now its an over expensive sizzler.

The Sunday brunch is good, and fairly reasonable.

The Crystal Palace is just such a beautiful place. Grew up in Bakersfield listening to Buck Owens and the Buckoos,but unfortunately never made it to the palace before Buck passed.We had a wonderful meal, our steaks cooked to perfection. Our food server was over the top welcoming our tea glass never less than half empty and very knowledgeable about the history of Buck Owens. Sharing stories with a couple at another table visiting from New York, that came to town to checkout the Crystal Palace. (Little thing was maybe in diapers when Buck was around, so it made it extra special listening to her talk) we had a very enjoyable evening. We didnt stay for the show as we had other plans for our evening.

Sunday brunch is awesome and the food is out of this world good. The waiting area is a stockpile of country western memorabilia. Although I have not been here on Friday and Saturday nights my adult children tell me the place is crazy busy and the music great.

Love the food, love the service, just wish they’d go back to closing at 2pm on Sundays, so we can get the family there after church
