The canyon trail head entrance is guarded by Im guessing the hoa.. they are charging $10 a person to use the entrance, but if you go through river place natural trails its free. All trails link together. They charge more money to use a 3 mile trail than a national park charges to use miles and miles of trails. Something to be said about these GREEDY people. I would not recommend using canyon trail entrance unless you like throwing money away...

This is a nice little park located right across the street from the River Place Nature Trail on Big View Drive. There’s a covered playground, a couple of small soccer fields (not full size but they do have goals for practicing), a couple of tennis courts, a covered pavilion with a big bbq grill, and picnic tables with bbq grills throughout the park. It’s a cool place to chill out at or walk along the creek on the crushed granite trails. The trails are very moderate, with minimal incline and not rugged at all. Good creek views and mostly shaded. This is a good place to stop if you need to fill your water bottle before or after hiking the River Place Natural Trail. If you haven’t done that one, you GOTTA check it out btw.Yes, they also have restrooms here.

Very nice park across from the hiking trail. Restrooms, water fountains, charcoal grills, pavilion and picnic tables are located here.

This is one of the best parks in Austin. Plenty of space, a covered gazebo with ac power, clean bathrooms, soccer fields and a tennis court. Best part is no cross traffic. You have to drive down into it and back out. We go to an annual fundraiser here by the Austin Pug Club every year.

Great place to go. There is a bridge passing the river you can jump from the too of the bridge into the river. It dangerous but totally worth it.

Another great place to hike near Austin and mostly shaded. The trails follow the creek and there is usually a nice breeze as well. The views are spectacular also

This place is a little hidden gem. Some walking trails, play structures, covered picnic structure, fishing pond with tons of turtles. On top of that, it connects to a major trail.

Strange. This place barely shows up on the map. There has clearly been a lot of effort here to maintain the trails here.
