We were recommended this place by one of the bouncers at a vastly different type of bar.. we were a little disappointed upon arrival as the music sounded like it was being blown through a stadium speaker. Mostly filled with college kids or younger (not sure if theyre checking IDs), seems like a place for a younger crowd, and Im in my early 20s.. wont be returning.

Amazing place

Drinks are great and come out quick, bartenders are fun and friendly. I like that the inside isn’t crazy or overdone like some other bars. Had a lot of great nights here.

It was my first time I went here. I went out with 2 of my girlfriends and we will not be coming back. It was my experience with Sam that was definitely subpar. He was rude and arrogant. They are getting 2 stars and not zero because the bartender in front, actually recognized that my girls and I were not super happy. I feel like I should have spent my money at a different location for sure. All around a very disappointing experience with a very incapable employee. If I were the owners I would reevaluate some staffing choices.

Awesome club, always on point with the music and the DJ teaming up with the drummer. Bartenders welcome you with open arms and knows how to live it up. As for the drinks....... one word to describe them.... DAAYUUUMMMM!!! LOL!!!

2 levels with DJs and bars! I was here during SXSW and St Pattys. One of the womens bathrooms was out of service and the other one down stairs was out of soap! The beer is out of a can, not a bottle and the bartenders arent socialable, even after a tip! Idk if it was just the event or what but this place would be lower on my list of To Dos in Austin.

Bartenders were great...

They charged me $7 more than what the receipts said. I went twice so was charged $14 more than what my receipts, I think this a running scam that the bartenders have agreed to take part in. Good music or not, I dont recommend going here. Especially when the toilets are gross and the drinks are watered down.

Again, another typical bar on dirty 6th, but the bartenders are fun and the girls bartenders are all attractive. You never have to wait very long to get a drink. And when its game days, they usually have food upstairs.

Good times and great drinks! What better way to spend your time on 6th Street! Stay for a drink or awhile, you wont be dissappointed

This is a dumpy dive but my vodka rocks was good and the live music was amazing.

I go downtown a lot. One night we stopped into this bar. My girlfriend usually buys drinks since the bartenders tends to be less likely to overcharge her than me. This place charged her $45 for 4 well shots which doesnt even make sense mathmatically! Never going back... The place wasnt as busy as the other bars and now I know why.

Absolutely worst bar in Austin! Drafts are warm, stingy with liquor and nobody in the bar. Much better selection on 6th street than this place.

Great Bar. The upstairs is great, but the outside portion is great to look on passers-by on 6th Street, especially with Mardi Gras approaching. The last time I was here was to see Knifight raise money for its next album and music video.Malkia: I thought Dirty 6th was East of I-35 (e.g. The Brixton, Cheer Up Charlies, The Eastern, etc.)

Sitting on the balcony overlooking 6th is the best seat in the house.

As always, we have the time of our lives at 512. On Tuesdays they have Latin Hip Hop with DJ Trey that is absolutely necessary for East 6th.
