My wife said that the displays reminded her of her grade school scrap book projects. While the museum is long on displays and short on artifacts, it’s hard to criticize a museum that free and run by volunteers. I would take headphones to listen to the YouTube videos that are easily accessed through QR codes.
A small museum with lots of information showing the history and influences of local music. Some great videos of interviews and performances. It is staffed by a small group of volunteers so double check hours before going. Really nice and knowledgeable staff.
A great collection of Texas musician memorabilia. A wonderful talk by Clayton Shorkey.
Small, but very informative. Be sure to check the hours of operation before you go.
Texas music museum is an awesome free attraction, Ive been twice with students and my nephews, staff are very helpful, love the piano that they let you play on. If you schedule a group they bring out several instruments for you to try.
Fascinating exhibits and fun events such as Stone Soup Sessions, a traditional music song circle and jam. 3rd sundays 2pm.
A little out of date. But they give it a good try
