Great food and beautiful scenery! This was our first time to Austin and this was a highly recommended place. It’s a great stop before hitting a sweet park in the city.

A great place to grab a drink and enjoy the view! Very active area with runners, boaters and cycling. The patio offers an outstanding view of the Colorado River.

We rented a couple kayaks and had a great time on the lake. An excellent way to spend an afternoon in Austin.The staff were helpful and friendly and the pricing was very reasonable.

Great for getting out on the water and seeing some public art. A nice retreat from the city in the heart of downtown Austin.

Alta Cafe is inside the boat house. Coffee and a great view makes it worth the short walk from public parking. Say hi to Cathy if you go in. She is very friendly and makes a mean cup of fancy joe, a gourmet sandwich and draws a nice draft. Better than Starbucks since it is local. Cheers!

So we were hoping to rent a kayak and go see the bats fly from the bridge.. little did we know that you cant take kayaks out that late. However, the bar above the boathouse had some decent beer and the boathouse had two docks that they were happy to let us all stand on to watch the bats fly. Great location for watching bats!

Nice place for paddle boarding or kayaking. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sights from the river are nice. They provide bins where you can storage​ your stuff, important​ documents can be kept behind the counter, no lockers thought.

Boathouse is nice food upstairs rentals downstairs. The team that runs the boathouse is nice as well.

This was a super cute place for a YouTube fan group meetup. Nice view of the water made for some awesome selfies! And it wasnt even that far of a walk from the Austin convention center

Bought the tickets on Groupon. It was worth. Guide was simply awesome. Try once to get to know about the downtown.
