Was looking for a facility where my son could get in some extra ball practice, and ended up signing him up for the camps as well. Extremely professional and highly experienced staff & coaches, with camps offering a daily or weekly option, which is hard to find elsewhere. The facility is very clean, and the location is easy to get to even from north Austin. My son can’t wait for Spring Break camp to start, and I’m thankful we finally found an amazing baseball organization and facility to train at!

My first time to the batting cage. The guy who checked us in was helpful to explain how the machine works. He let us know a bit about softball vs baseball. And he was generous to let us hit a few more round when our hour was up. The equipment seem old. Maybe they can replace the grip wrapping of their rental bat since it was falling off. Since I dont play and new, without wearing gloves does hurt the hand, so good grip would have help. That was my suggestion, but other than that, the equipments are in good shape to use. My friend and I enjoyed our time and hope to come back more often.

Have had such a great experience with all of the coaches at Austin Batting Cages. They know what they are talking about - just the right amount of serious and fun. Thank you Jonathan and Nick (and Sage!) for all that you provide the kids. We have taken private lessons, group lessons + camps.

Great spots to hit balls

This review is for the camp. It might be good for 5-7 year olds, but I do not recommend it for older kids who are looking to develop skills. D-bat is a much bigger and nicer facility, and much better organized.

Nice facilities but needs better parking.

Probably a great place for kids to practice and hit but it’s not ideal for adults. The cages are tight and you can’t get a full swing in while batting. Don’t bother if you want a slow pitch softball machine. They never work. My team has reserved it now 3 times. The first time it didn’t work at all. The second time (which the offered to do 1/2 off because of our miserable experience), the machine kept getting jammed. We decided to give them one more try and the third time the machine was broken and would only do slow fast pitch once they did get it working. I emailed asking for a refund but never got a response. The staff is polite and nice enough and that’s the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars. Save yourself some frustration and drive the extra distance to D-bat if you’re an adult practicing.

Facilities are 3 stars--machines are all over the place. Front guy working this place gives maybe the worst customer service Ive seen. Dont waste your time with this place.

My son loves coming here whether with his team or camp or private lessons. Weve been to a few different places through the years, but this is the place we always come to now. The staff is great. You can definitely tell they enjoy what they do. As a mom, coach, and spectator.... Id highly recommend these guys to anyone and everyone!

We were on our way to the airport and had to get some energy out so we stopped in for 45 minutes hit some balls and got on down the road I love their new location the staff was amazing I give it two thumbs up

I had such a great experience when we went to the Austin Batting Cages! The staff was incredible and overall experience was very enjoyable. Nick & Jonathan were able to help me get set up with the right equipment and their customer experience was top-notch. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to get some hitting practice in.

I use the cages regularly, and it is a great facility with all the necessities. The staff is always there when I need them and they are very friendly. I have taken a lesson with Jonathan and will definitely be back for more! Jonathan is a great instructor and knows what he is talking about.

I first went to Austin Batting Cages in January, and have been returning ever since!! Both Jonathan and Nick were so friendly, knowledgable, accommodating, and welcoming! I had never used a pitching machine before. Nick helped me set the speed, and stuck around until I felt comfortable using it. The facility and service are both great!

Kind of hidden away, wish i had known about the place sooner. Well worth the trip. Great atmosphere and pleanty of talented staff. Doesnt break the bank.

My son is on their 10u team and he loves it. The coaches love what they do and know what they are doing. This isnt just a job for them. Its something they enjoy doing and thats molding and shaping young kids into great ball players!

Place is kinda hard to find because its essentially in a loading dock, so theres no clear entrance. Walked up and there seemed to be some sort of youth class going on as there were a bunch of kids running around everywhere, so wasnt exactly sure what was going on. Talked to the only adult and got situated in a cage where the machine was fine, but had to run around collect and feed it when it ran out (which ate into my paid time). They didnt have a credit card reader on hand so I had to give my CC number to a guy on the phone, which was a bit sketchy. Also $20 for 30 minutes was bit of a high price considering 1/4 of it was running around fetching balls.

I am a big fan of Austin Batting Cages. I take my God son here a few times a month for private lessons and cage rentals. The lessons have really improved his game, and he really enjoys getting extra BP in. Lessons are worth every penny as all of the instructors have played at highly competitive levels being former college/pro players. They used to be open by appointment only on the weekends, but have since changed that which was helpful as it was a bit challenging finding time to get my God son in during the week for lessons.If you are in the Austin area looking to receive quality baseball instruction or extra work in, I definitely recommend Austin batting cages!!

Took my dad here on his birthday (he loves baseball) and he LOVED IT! It was great bonding time. There was equiptment avaliable to use and machines worked great. Would come back again! Perfect for training or family time.

Good to be a kid again

My son had a baseball tourney in Austin and found this place to rent a tunnel to hit. Good price and super nice guys working there. If your in Austin and need a place to get some hitting in....This is the place to go.

When my nephews team comes to practice here, Ill come get my swings and throw some off the mound as well. It has been perfect for me to come get some extra work in the off season.The pitching machines work great for when I have no one to come up to throw to me too.

Awesome place to go get my throwing in even when the weather is bad. Always someone there that can help and know what theyre talking about. Tons of knowledge in one facility.

NOT AN HONEST COMPANY!! DO NOT USE! About a month ago (April 15th) my husband booked and paid for a batting cage private lesson ($80). This was a financial sacrifice for us but we wanted to give our son some practice before a big game he was playing the next weekend. The coach called us and cancelled the lesson, saying he had double booked. As we had no other window for the lesson, we asked for our $80.00 to be refunded. He said he would. It has been over a month and 3 phone calls now, and we still have not seen a refund. No lesson=their cancellation on us=$80.00 out of our pockets. Will not be using this company ever again.

Amazing batting facility the coaches there are awesome

Coach walsh and the other instructors at LBA offer outstanding baseball instruction for players of all ages. Every LBA Instructor teaches the same mechanics and workouts tought at the university of texas and at the professional levels where they all played. We highly recommend the LBA.
