This place is awesome drinks are reasonably priced it’s a fun date spot everybody has a good time when you’re there every comedian has been very very funny and Dave the guy that runs it is an amazing guy and a true talent

First time here and we laughed so much my head hurts.. everyone was so friendly and service was great. 2 drink minimum was expected and drinks reasonably priced. ended up purchasing a 6 month membership. cant wait to go back again

The Comedy Shrine is one of my favorite comedy clubs in the Midwest. I can legit spend an entire night there watching stand up and improv comedy and love every minute. The Shrine brings in some big names sure, but they are one of the go to clubs for the rising and best talent in the Chicago area. I have been there more times than I can count. If you dont go there at least once a month what are you doing?!

What an enjoyable experience! After moving to the area and checking out different comedy shows, we kept coming back to this one. When you first walk in there is an explosion of memorabilia, everywhere you look theres more to see. Honestly was having fun just doing that! Then we went in for the show and the comedians were hilarious. They would take audience input and then get to work improving. Cant wait to go back again!

I always have a great time here! I even had my sons graduation party here. The staff were phenomenal.

This place is a MUSEUM. worth going out of your way all the way from the city or from anywhere in the country. jaw dropping memorabilia!

My sister and I had a wonderful evening laughing. All of the comedians very funny, I absolutely love the interaction with the audience.And after the show you could freely speak with them.I also love the fact that the staff is very friendly as well.Its an awesome way to enjoy an evening best friends and family. I love using laughter for therapy this is great for me.

Went here with my fiancee tonight for my 33th birthday and saw Whos Line and I was blown away on how well put together all the performers where! Im definitely coming back whenever I get the chance. It also funny when one of actors asked me where I worked and they made a whole skit about my job! Thanks for a good time everyone.

I have come a few Mondays its pretty cool to see the new and up and coming talent, def a fun time. I have gone to quite a few of their shows on the weekend also a very awesome time! If you have never been I most def recommend to check out !

I was really surprised by the comedy shrine. It was a lot of fun. Friendly staff, solid drinks, good performance. Definitely would go back.

Loved this place and have a membership for 6 months, however our most recent visit was terrible. Our server did not give us the drinks we ordered until over an hour into the show. Everyone else around us had finished their second drink by the time we even got ours. We even turned on our light after 30 minutes to make sure they didn’t forget but she said it was coming soon. Thirty minutes later we still didn’t have it and a friend asked where our drinks were. It seems we were discriminated against being the only interracial couple in the room and were the only people being ignored and not served.

Had tons of fun. The comedians were a great mix of family friendly and not so much.

Had a great time watching an improv show here. Cool atmosphere and a fun group on stage. Be aware youll be expected to buy two drinks during the show.

The inside of this place is amazing! Its like a shrine to everything comedy. The show was pretty awesome too! Im glad my buddy invited me because I would have never known about it. Now that I do, I will be back!

Went for family comedy night and overall it was fun.When we first walked in the person at the counter had a strong tone as if he was annoyed and that had me on edge about the place.Once we were seated everything turned out great. Snack selection was limited.Kids were able to participate at the end by going on stage and that was a good experience for them.

Always a good time at the Comedy Shrine, the improve is a great way to spend the night and actually interact with the performance. Stand up is great as well however, they dont usually enjoy the audience interaction as much. If you do go, be sure to check groupon first, you can always find tickets cheaper than buying at the door.

Really liked the naughty show very funny. Atmosphere was good. The decorum was great so much stuff to take in. There is a 2 drink minimum for this show. Audience members dictate it so it can get loud and dirty. The cast was good

Four of us went here as a group to celebrate a friends fortieth birthday. Now Ive never been to a comedy club, big or small, so I have nothing with which to compare our experience here.That said, we had a simply *glorious* time there! It started slow, of course, but thats normal. The first acts of any show is the appetizer. Even so, we were all laughing by the end. The headliner was actually two women: They did an act together, then each did their thing separately. And they were both great!Of course, by then everyone had a few cocktails in them. That helped, since everything is funnier when youre getting tipsy. (This is *not* at all a knock on the comics, but theres a reason they serve alcohol at such places.) I definitely recommend having a few drinks - youll be more relaxed and able to enjoy the show more. They have a muted little light on the tables - if you need anything, you just turn the light on and the server will come to you. Simple, quiet, a minimum of distractions, and no tripping over chairs in the dark.In short, I highly recommend giving them a try with a few friends!

We had a fun night out with the kids.

They do all the comedies here. I recommend the funnies at 10pm because I am an adult who does adult things. But the family show is also comedy, minus all the bombs with the letter F emblazoned on the front. I give it 7/3 S.T.A.R.S. members.

I went with my son, daughter-in-law and my 4 & 12 yr old grandchildren to the family time session. We had a great time and ALL the memorabilia is insane!! Would definitely recommend.

Had a blast going out for the night and seeing David Yates. All the comedians were great. 2 issues:The show was tagged as all ages, and wasnt. I dont get offended, but could see how that would be a problem for some people.Also, there is a 20% gratuity added in automatically to your bill, watch for it, as if youre not paying attention, youre double tipping.

Place was really cool, most of the comedians were good others not so much. Would definitely go back to see if I cant catch a better set. They are in desperate need of a website update, hard to find information.

It is mostly improv comedy which they did well and it was funny . I just prefer traditional stand up. The place was very nice with lots of nostalgia and it was a fun night out.

I had a great time there! I went to the 8pm show on friday for whose line and it was really funny! They people who are on stage are good at what they do and great at getting the audience incorporated into the show using their ideas. After the 8 pm show we received free tickets to stay for the 10pm naughty show. It was a similar concept to whose line except it was rated R and had more crude humor-- still was great. after the 10 pm show we received free tickets to come back a different day. The only catch for the free tickets was a 2 drink min per person. The drink prices are very reasonable and they offer snacks as well. Since the place is in an enclosed area there was plenty of parking! great time and will definitely return!

Great improv. Good service well priced. And well worth your money. sucks that we had to leave early. These people are hilarious.

Great little place. Museum like place when you walk in. The comedy was nice, but too close to reality. So, that contributed to one star off. The other reason is the bar. Just need a creative eye into it. Very cheap looking and service for an overexpensive bottle.

Nice intimate venue. Very fast staff, and if you can take raunchy, and I mean RAUNCHY comedy, try the late show. 2 drink min. Good sound system. See if you can spot the owner amongst the performers!

Great Improv shows! Stand Up can be good too, just depends on the comedian that evening. Drinks are yummy - French Martini is the best! Lots of comedy items to look at while you wait for the show to start!

Some racist in the audience yelling out racist remarks made me uncomfortable

Took my girlfriend on a date here for the dirty show. Hilarious people, didnt disappoint. Best part, they stayed out of politics. Possibly the longest period of time Ive spent over the past year without hearing dog whistles. It was refreshing.

The show itself was not bad, but I paid $40 for 2 tickets, only to find out there was a 2 drink minimum at the table. And if you dont meet the 2 drink minimum, they charge you a $4 table charge per person. I dont feel like the show we saw was worth the price we paid.

Russ Williamson, hands down the most hilarious stand up show Ive ever seen! So glad I went! I have never laughed that hard in my life. Comedy shrine is a great place to visit. 10/10 would recommend.

Went to the adult improv. This was the first time my wife ever went to a comedy show and we will be returning. The jokes are lewd, offensive and just plain dirty at the adult improv. Good times to be had.

I go to their open mic on Monday and the talent is interesting and makes for a great time. The bar is good and they have pretty decent drinks and $5 shots. Definitely check it out.

Best comedy shop in the area. Love the improv show. It is on the back side of the Fox valley Mall. There is a local tap house right next door for a drink before the show.

Went here for a company outing and saw 2 local comedians as wells as the in-house inprov group who were all super funny. The atmosphere is very comedy centric with all kinds of interesting comedy memorabilia (including a set of Golden Girls Jesus style candles). Overall a really good experience but i was a little miffed to discover the mandatory gratuity added to my bill when buying drinks directly from the bar. This is something that should be disclosed to patrons but was not.

We have been to the Comedy Shrine many, many times. Had 24 family members of us enjoying ourselves, and some good laughs!The kids even loved it.

Went to the show for a 21st birthday .Had a really good time. Staff was good, dont know what waiter that someone had but we had nothing wrong with are check at all .We even stayed for the free 2nd show it was more fun then the 1st. We all would like to go back.

Went last night with my wife saw the 8pm improve show. Excellent show very funny! Prices on drinks were very reasonable ($3 beers, not bad for naperville/aurora!) They had seats available for the 10pm stand up show and offered them complimentary! Fantastic funny night out!
