Ive been a member of KHS for many years, and although I live in Florida, I usually make it up to the KHS at least once a year. Someone always drops what they are doing to help me with locating records from their extensive collection. They are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Because of their complete, organized records listed on their website, it is easy to plan ahead of time what information I want to search. It is an excellent research facility.

Stopped for their annual book sale, wonderful finds at great prices. They also do talks about Maine history once a month, have a research room, and sponsor other events. And everyone was soon friendly and informative.

A hidden gem for people interested in history. Hours open vary so call first.
