The miles and miles of trails are wonderful and, overall, well-maintained. The views of the river and surrounding hills is stunning at times. There are so many walking options, including some that are quite steep. Its a popular running spot. And the skate park is quite large and well laid out (my son and his friends love it).

Great trail. Very step sections with views. Some trees down but signs that crews have been clearing fallen trees. Wish the trail had more markers at trail splits.

The Overlook is not accessible to cars . you need to hike a little bit, nice skatepark .

Great hike with beautiful views From where we parked it ended up being downhill hike at beginning and a pretty steep hike uphill on way back. It is a moderate level rocky hike and dogs are welcome on leash. I would recommend hiking shoes because of the rocky terrain but there was plenty of people jogging the trail in tennis shoes.

Park is nice, went for the hike. Free parking, great area with spectacular views.

Great access to the River via trails (including Western States), plus is a lovely park with a skate park and shaded seating. Located a stones throw away from Railhead park as well

Great place to spend the day. Has a skate park. Has plenty of trails to walk down next to the river. This is the perfect spot to have lunch or a picnic with a view. Nice place with plenty of grass cover. Has bathrooms and water faucets. I will definitely be going back to this place. Oh and did I mention a great view!!!!!

Easy to get to. Bathrooms. Lots of free parking. And trails down to the American River. Its a work out

Breath taking view

Super cool skate park. Nothing crazy technical, but a lot of good stuff for any level of rider. Tend to be younger kids there like a typical skate park. My kids love it so i got nothing bad to say.

Overlook Park is popular with skaters, horseback riders, hikers, and also people who just want to look thats a beautiful view of the American River Canyon. You can hike to the rivers from there, but look out, remember, its uphill all the way back!

Overlook park is a really good place to view the American river canyon and take the dog for a walk.oe just gaze off to the east at the mighty Sierras. Also the skate park is there its a pretty good one O guess

If youre not getting enough exercise walking. This is a great place to take it up a notch.

Peaceful beautiful views w/ a moderately steep hill for cardo

One of the many reasons I love auburn. We are gifted with so many amazing trails. It is a spectacular view from all angles. I encourage you to come with family and make an adventure of it.

It is a very good place for hiking, running, horse riding. one of the best place for outdoor activities in this area. If you start early you can avoid sun. Most of the area is covered by tree shades. Make sure to carry enough water.

This was a beautiful place with awesome views of the American river. I went on a 10 mile hike here on the Western States trail, very beautiful!! watch out for ticks though.

Nice place to go and walk your dogs they also have a skating park there for the kids. Some high school kids go there and hot rod around so be careful when you step out of your car

This is a convenient, free place to park to access some trails. There is a bathroom with hand soap. The parking lot seemed a little sketchy and I was worried I might come back to a broken window on my car. There are shade trees, grass, and plenty of parking. There is a skate park here.

We go to this park mainly for the skate park. Our 13 year old son always has fun. Broad range of kids on boards and scooters, and everyone seems to get along fine. So fortunate to have this type of park here in Auburn.

This is a great place to bring your kids its got a wonderful skatepark with surveillance cameras for the protection of the children its got a drug-free area so it keeps the riffraff away from the public its got a beautiful view of the canyon and plenty of places to sit and have lunch and the couple hiking trails to take your dogs out this is a wonderful place to visit I hope everyone takes the time out of their day to check it out

Overlook park is the staging area for the Auburn Resolution Run, 10 miles, 10K and 5K distances on local trails.Single Track Running is the sponsor and is supported by Auburn Alehouse which serves post race beer.The park is a local gem that should have continuous local support to remain relevant in my opinion.The surrounding area is enhanced by the Park.

Great hiking or trail run

Fun little skate park where we run our RC cars when I randomly have a week day off but it gets too crowded with all those kids skate boarding and playing what sounds like a couple people whove had a severe stroke arguing over a beat really loud in the parking lot after Placer gets out for the day.

Did not make it as far as the park. Just a great walk along the creek in the Robie Pt neighborhood.

My son & I enjoyed taking a walk & enjoyed the view of the American River Canyon

I love this park because it has several things to do and see. It overlooks the Canyon and the American River, and includes picnic tables, grass areas to lay a blanket under trees, hiking trails, horseback riding, and a skate park, along with breathtaking views of the tree covered canyon of the American River!

Spectacular views of the American River

Ive come here for years to park and then take one of the many trails for hiking or jogging. Such beautiful trails and sights. They started locking the parking lot after dark so make sure you either park outside the gates or get to your car before dark because my moms car got locked in and you either pay the fee for them to come open it or wait till mornings

Had kind of a tough time getting a photo of the river due to the rather long and steep trail. Im 65 and going back up that trail really put me through my paces. Glad I got the photo, but I wont be returning.

Clean bathrooms with soap and water. Well behaved people of all ages. Sometimes annoying when people are hanging out smoking. Safe, calm, nice view, unlike Rusch Park in Citrus Heights

The views and skate park are amazing but the broken glass cracked sidewalks and shoe tree could be improved.

My wife and I took the dog to Overlook Park and took a walk down the horse trail it was a very nice walk little rugged but if you catch poison oak I dont advise going down there cuz its growing all alongside the trail other than that its gorgeous

We took our dogs on the trail and when we returned to the car they were covered in ticks! Ive never seen anything like it and we t as ke a lot of trails in the area

The hiking trails to the river are a well maintained and enjoyable with fantastic views.

Easy place to park, access to multiple trails. Just do not leave valuables in your car. Also note the sign at entrance with open hours. The gates are locked at night but there is also parking outside of the gates. Bathrooms are there.
