What a lovely little arboretum! Though less than 5 acres, this is a peaceful series of walks centered around a dammed pond for turtles. The labeling could be better, but the trails and bridges make the whole experience a pleasure. One could rush through in twenty minutes, but at a leisurely pace, allow 45 minutes. There is a plenty of parking and partial wheelchair accessibility.
Very nice park area. Parking isnt well marked by Google Maps, so we parked on the street and hoped it was okay. Found the parking lot while wandering around. We took the dog for a walk and shes sleeping so soundly. Beautiful park with lots of cleaning opportunities, such as trash cans and hand sanitizer stations. Well maintained to say the least.
Awesome for an event or just a break at lunch. Morgan and her staff do a great job!
We took our dogs here for a walk on a Saturday morning. This is such a well kept place! The trails are concrete and gravel, so perfect for walkers and riders a.k.a handicapped and children in strollers. Alot of the trees, shrubs, flowers and even birds have their own identification plaques. So its great for students and naturalists. Theres a charter oak thats as old as Aurburn, turtle ponds, and a cypress swamp just to name a few highlights.
So peaceful. Love the flycatchers.
Great learning opportunity for various trees and landscapes of AL.
Beautiful little trail!
Botanical garden with beautiful scenery
Great a f peaceful nature in the middle of town!
Very close to city downtown, easily accessible but quiet place!!!
Quiet and well kept. A great place to walk your dog(s) and enjoy nature. Also the restrooms are very clean and stocked all the way to the soap despinsers.
Perfect place to relax.
Beautiful place, I took my kids here and they loved it!
Great place to relax. Nice variety of native plants
Nice park
Beautiful arboretum on campus.Lucy enjoyed a quick dip in the pond while there!
Beautiful spring flowers! The arboretum is a wonderful place to stroll. The trails are extremely well cared for, smooth without ruts to trip you. The trees and plants are described so that a novice can understand what they are viewing. I really enjoyed seeing the Carnivorous plants displayed. There is no charge to enjoy this lovely facility.
Wonderful escape right next to campus and town. It is great to have this resource in town.
If you are in this area at Auburn it is a VERy pretty place to visit. My son is a student their and took the whole family for a little tour of this arboretum. We enjoyed the pretty scenery and the lovely plants and the quiet nice walk
Such a romantic place to have a picnic!
Great place for walks, family time, and picture taking. Colors are always wonderful, in any season.
I love this place because I grew up here. We had fights and psychedelic experiences here. Plus the Flora and fauna are cool.
Quiet and nice
This place is the true hidden gem of downtown Auburn. In the spring and summer, its a gorgeous place to sit, study, walk, whatever! In the fall, they partner with the City of Auburn for a Halloween movie series on Friday nights on October. In the winter its still just as great to visit as when its warm. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The groups are pristine. The events are spectacular.
Absolutely beautiful.
A treasure to find as a tourist. We needed to kill a couple of hours and found this beautiful walk. The names of the trees and bushes were interesting to see, so many were of the same genius! Tons of azaleas!
Beautiful variety of local botany, lovely paths for strolling.
Beautiful relaxing atmosphere, excellent diversity of plant life, paths/walkways clean and cared for. Family friendly with adult supervision. Special occasions available upon request.
Wish the arboretum had more space to develop programs and trails. Their director, Morgan Beetles, is very talented and knowledgeable.
Excellent place to spend time in the afternoon with family or friends
Beautiful & peaceful. We attended a community event that was being hosted. Lovely area to stroll, read a book, photograph, or have a picnic. Just a gorgeous slip of nature & beauty to enjoy
Its so beautiful
Love to visit this place when I am down in Auburn
It is a good place
A beloved oasis in the heart of town - perfect walking anytime but especially after a good rain... very cool place!
Great place to take a walk, have a picnic, or just take in natural beauty. We take bread and feed the fish and turtles in a couple of different places. Parking is a little challenging during the week but on weekends there are normally several spots open just beyond the park.
Great for all ages. The day we went they had a small amount of vendors. Mostly photography, jewelry, and some plants for sale. We enjoyed the huge variety of native azaleas. We will come back. A leisurely hour and a half with no kids. Loved it.
For there first time it wasn’t that bad but for a blueberry festival there wasn’t any real blueberries. But nice garden loved all of the fish and turtles.
Nice public garden with lots of shade, benches, water features and sculptures. Added plus is leashed dogs are welcome!
Great place to check out on campus!!! Very pretty
Lots of lizards, birds, and fish to see. Beautiful place to visit and relax. All kinds of flowers and trees.
Very pretty stroll, large variety of nature despite being sandwiched in auburn
Auburn University has an incredible resource in the Davis Arboretum. The azalea, oak and carnivorous plant collections are excellent, and well kept. It is a peaceful, easy walk, but full of interesting stops along the way.
I attended the Azalea Festival and the azaleas were magnificent. There were several vendors and food trucks. It is dog friendly. I look forward to returning when it is a bit quieter. There are benches along the pathways that would invite one to stop and smell the roses.
This place was BEAUTIFUL! I’m sure it’s a “secret” gem of Auburn’s campus! Not a lot of people when I went. Perfect spot for photos of yourself, the family, or the nature in general. The feeder by the pond is broken and no matter what you put in it, it won’t give you any food for the fish so just beware of that.
Great place to wonder around.
Beautiful place to visit. Quiet and peaceful. on site.
Beautiful and peaceful. Could have more variety and labels
Donald E.David Aboretum was quiet, cool and lovely.
Amazing variety of plants Very enjoyable walk.
Very small, not much to see.. Clemson has a way better botanical garden.
Nice walkways for a fall day,
One of my favorite spots to go for a walk and relax in the Auburn area. The plants and trees are beautiful and the park is always clean and kept up. Great place for a picnic or simply unwinding in the serenity of mother nature.
Beautiful park with a large variety of plants and trees.

Its a very small park, with a pond which has turtles. Good for strolling as its nearby to Auburn University campus and easily accessible.
A good place to hang out with friends and family on a holiday. It is a good picnic spot with rich flora and fauna.

Auburn University Graduation great time was had with my cousins the proud parents.
Nice place to visit
Patrick is great. He cares about what he does and how other people get to enjoy it.
Nice walking trails. Plentiful wildlife and labeled plants.
Beautiful, peaceful place with the exception of the gas powered leaf blower
Beautiful park with tons of different native species. definitely worth checking out
Beautiful, serene, and very educational. One of my favorite places to go enjoy nature.
The folks that run the Arboretum have really stepped up their game in the last few years. It looks like they are gearing it more for events instead of research because the landscaping is much more manicured than it used to be.
A beautiful place to come walk. The waterfall is very pretty.
There are wild turtles here.
Great little place to explore by yourself or with a group of any age.
Very peaceful and relaxing
Looking forward to the connection of the arboretum to the educational gardens!
