Great railfan spot
A cool piece of history to check out if in the area. It is a trench dug in the Earth for a railway to go through and was once considered the eight wonder of the world.
I love sneaking away to what was once called the eighth wonder of the world. Bloomer cut was finished in 1864 as part of the transcontinental railroad and is one of the few historic sites you can visit. It is held together by clay cement and rocks. Impressive to see this held up for all these years! Be careful going through as it is an active track
Unusual place, even weirder to get to. This section of the railroad was built with Chinese labor. At the time it was completed, it was considered the 8th wonder of the world
U.S. historic site: Transcontinental R.R. (not recommended to visit due to r.r. danger and difficulty reaching the site)
Nice place
