I felt this needed to be heard so nobody else deals with the same situation. 12 of us paid $275 each to hunt snow geese with DOA Outfitters Inc. After everyone put down the $100 deposit the owner started being very difficult and disrespectful with us while coordinating the hunt. The morning of the hunt he brought us to the field left us there with the decoys and a guide he had hired from another outfitter. Mind you we paid $275 x12 people. Had to set up and take down our own decoys. The limited amount of birds we saw wanted nothing to do with the field. No birds were within 500 yards of us. At that point the guide with us told us he would have called us the day before the hunt to cancel or at least let us know that there was barley any birds left in the area and they didn’t have the fields the remaining birds wanted to be in. He told us that was his last hunt with DOA because of this type of activity and putting him in a bad situation. We picked up all the decoys and left early never seeing the owner again. After trying to contact him after the hunt he refused to talk to us. Now I know that no hunt is guaranteed and I understand that. It’s just the way it all went down and the amount of disrespect that he showed that bothered me. I just want others to be aware of this experience before choosing DOA.

Biggest scam artist I’ve met so far...went on a “guided” hunt with him where we set up all his decoys and he tossed out some glorified camo lawn chairs. $275...he was very unprofessional, never introduced himself, texted us nasty messages days leading up to the hunt and told us not to drive too many cars because he wasn’t running a Walmart parking lot. “Breakfast was included” ...showed up at a days inn MOTEL at 430am and tried feeding us their complimentary breakfast. . Went on the hunt and no birds came into his paper decoys. He tossed out 1000 decoys for our group to set up and take down...took off and went with another group. the guy that was helping him out said joe should have called us the day before to let us know the birds left the area and we’re migrating. (Almost shot a crow though) This dude is a JOKE! Check out his arrest in Montana as well. I’m out $275 and froze my butt off in a lawn chair but I hope he’s out of business. check out Joe Austin on google...best of luck to you folks.

I have hunted with them plenty of time and purchased one of their amazing fox red lab. Couldnt be happier with both
