I saw Cabaret there, and no joke it was better than Hamilton at the fox. I cried, I laughed, I had so many feelings. Cabaret is one of my favorite musicals, and the cast really got into it. Sally was incredibly believable as a deeply unaware and unconcerned young woman, who really believed that nothing bad would happen. The innkeeper was deeply believable as just trying to survive, especially during her solo. The Master of Ceremonies was hilarious and perfect, and I loved when he wouldnt hand Sally the mic for the roommate song at first. The dark part of the musical, the second half, was transcendent. It really showed deeply the different reactions to war, violence, oppression, and tragedy, in a way that just... Flowed.
Just saw Cabaret and it was great. A classic black box floorplan makes every seat clear to the performance. Live orchestra too. Well done actors, musicians and crew!
