Desperately needs an aesthetic upgrade, but the people who work there are great and the ticket prices are fair.
I went to see The Last Black Man In San Frnacisco at this theater because it is only showing herr and at Phipps Plaza in all of Atlanta. We missed the first 15 minutes due to traffic. I was ordering food at the concession stand but canceled my order when I noticed the hot dog was in plastic and about to be nuked in the microwave. Nope that wasnt worth $5. We decided to go to the next show and requested a refund/exchange.Upon return to the theater we sat doen in our seats. Ok small and intimate. I can dig that. Old style seating ok I expected that. What I did not expect was the smell of the place. It smelled like it was damp and mildewy. The scent was very strong. At times I had to cover my nose. Im glad I didnt buy food. The carpet was worn and funky as well. I kind of expected more considering the neighborhood. I enjoyed the movie and the patrons but it was hard to to concentrate when I could hear all of RocketMan music being played through the walls at the screening next to us.This theater is clearly a neighborhood gem for those that live there and do not expect thrills. The staff is very charming and polite especially the ticket taker. Hopefully some funding will come their way soon for some updates. I would hate to see this place close.
One of Atlantas true icon cinemas showing independent films and film Festival favorites... Older theatre that is great
A well kept secret movie spot! Eat drink go to movies drink again! All in one spot. My only two cons are 1 the seats appear to a little worn. not turn just broke in like soft.I was fine after I got settled in though. 2 Getting out of the corner of a parking lot after the movie lets out is a challenge. Over all a great experience. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely return
Went to see the Zappa movie. Everything was TOP SHELF
One of my favorite theaters. Ive seen many interesting older films as well as current releases here. For screenings of older films, they often have discussions before the viewing. They also have wine and beer!
Quaint theater in the heart of midtown. Great location by food, the park, and entertainment. Always clean and has a good selection at the snack bar.
Saw 2 movies here recently. I love how quaint this place is. Saw the Depeche Mode Spirits in The Forest documentary and Its a Beautiful Day in The Neighbourhood several weeks later. I had a wonderful time attending both. Yummy buttered popcorn adds to the fun! The location is great too. You can pop next door to Apres Diem to dine before your movie or grab a beer and some award winning dive bar food at The Highlander two doors over. All in all this is a great little boutique theater to enjoy a movie with friends.
This is a good movie theater with a lot of choices of restaurants nearby. You can always find a good independent film or documentary here.
This is a very small cinema with limited space.Problems:1. No machine where ones can pick up tickets by him/herself2. The seats were odd and cannot be compared to ones in other cinemas such as AMC 143. The customers were not gentle or very civilized. They TALK all the time while watching the movies . Reminded me a lot of my experience in communist China and made me feel so sickadvantages:1. they offer drinks and food other cinemas do not offer such as coffeeOverall, never gonna come back.
Its a great old school movie theater. Not all the bells & whistles of new ones. But a nice throwback.Although it can be cold. Like today: outside temp was in 30s inside theater maybe 60s.
This is one of the secret places in Atlanta. Tucked away near the park, it is cozy and intimate. Really enjoyed seeing Little Women there on the big screen.
A fantastic classic style theater to see and enjoy all kinds of movies and documentaries. Excellent concession stand and great people, too!

This is one of Atlantas classic theatres. They dont have IMAX or the thunderous surround sound but its a great place. The theatres are clean and not as expensive as many others. Always enjoyable being there.
Great spot to see both indie flicks and Hollywood blockbusters. Love the folks who work here too, really nice people!
Great customer service. We miss the smaller theater experience, not a lot of them around. They care about their customers. I forgot how the host makes a an introduction in the theater before the movie begins. The price was great for the tickets and at concessions, not breaking the bank. We will definitely be going back.
My favorite cinema in the area. Dingy and full of soul. Go to the Highlander nextdoor for a few drinks before hand.
This is a great place to watch movies if you want a nice smaller feel. They play more independent and foreign films as well as the big blockbusters. Another plus is the ample parking. Great place all around!
Awesome location, great selection of big name blockbusters and festival circuit movies thrown in there. They serve alcohol. The layout allows the theatre to accommodate for release crowds and the outdoor courtyard makes it the perfect place to come out of a mind blowing movie ready to compare notes with your friend.
Yes its open. we had the whole theater to ourselves.
So glad this place exist. we lost the one in bulkhead. this really cool indie theater now is some clothing store now... the staff here is nice and diverse. a bit pricey on the snacks but it helps keep this unique place up so pay people.. its okay
Lovely cinema. Small and has a good mix of current big releases, indie releases, and special releases of classics and favorites. Havent had a chance to Check out concessions yet. Matinee of Howls Moving Castle was $9 so that alone is 5 stars from me :D
Ive seen three films here in the past few months: The Irishman, Little Women, and A Portrait of a Lady on Fire. In all three screenings, sound bleed from adjacent theaters was a major issue, and this issue significantly diminished my immersion in/ enjoyment of the three films. Is there anything that could be done to improve the sound insulation at this cinema?
Seats are very dated (wooden middle school auditorium style) but it is a bit cheaper and convenient. Usually have the up to date movies but not always. Very convenient with the bars and restaurants next door.
Best inde movie house in Atl. Staff are always excellent, truly passionate about film, nice beer selection, and they show classic movies too.
Affordable ticket prices, no-frills cinema with solid mainstream and art movie options! If youre someone like me who goes to a theater for a good movie and the smell of popcorn - then this is your place. Plenty of parking and food/drink options around for before/after the movie date.
It’s a convenient location just a couple of blocks from Piedmont Park. The mall is a little dated and so is the theater, but they do you have everything that you want here. There are a lot of screens, the rooms aren’t large (that’s nice!), and service was fast. It doesn’t compare to the shiny and oversized theaters in the suburbs, but then again, here you’ll find the Oscar winning movies alongside really well-curated films. This is also the place you want to go if you want the classics on a large screen, or miss the art house films, and see other great movies that don’t make it to the cookie-cutter theaters in the suburbs.
A nice older theater in the heart of midtown. Typically plays a variety of great movies, not just the major releases.
I love Landmarks Midtown Cinema because it shows a lot of diverse movies, particularly art movies, that you wont find in other theaters. They serve wine, which is uncommon in most theaters. In addition, the theater is located next to Apres Diem, one of my favorite restaurants. So a movie and dinner are always a nice experience.
This is my favorite theater in ITP. They actually make the prices in both the tickets & concessions not a highway robbery. Plus, it’s never packed, highly recommend this theater. Side note: great bars/restaurants/novelty shoppes around that won’t kill the pocket either.
Theater is on the smaller side. Staff was great and friendly, but the screening rooms dont seem very well maintained and doesnt smell great either, which takes away from the movie experience overall.
I love this theater. Best in Atlanta. They play mainstream movies and independent movies. So much fun.
A grand, old Art cinema. Very respectful, quiet audience. They are all about the movies.
First off, I love this cinema and I can always count on it to show films that no one else in Atlanta shows ( and they have excellent curated film series ). And yes, as others have mentioned, the screening rooms are on the vintage side. However, my BIGGEST COMPLAINT is that the SOUND BLEED IS A HUGE ISSUE. Now, I realize this is an older cinema and that an overhaul to equip all of the rooms with extra acoustical walls/padding is not possible but could the management at least try to adjust the programming to where a marvel style action film isnt playing right next to a quiet art film? Thank you for your time.
Great location next to several restaurants. Service is friendly and attentive, and it’s very clean. The price is unbeatable, but unfortunately, if you’re watching a movie that just came out, you have to get there early to get good seats.
Cool staff, laid back atmosphere, good indie movies as well as blockbusters. Not as fancy as Atlantic Station, but great for when you dont want to deal with all that. Also they have beer.
You wont think much of this little theatre, it looks a bit run down and shabby. But, the sound quality is SUPERB. Never heard better sound in a movie theatre. I come here for every movie because of that. It sounds like youre THERE. I was watching a scary movie and there was a knock at the door, I thought someone was knocking on the emergency exit, it sounded 100 percent real. The seating is not stadium, but it is sloped, so you wont have to worry about peoples heads too much. The cup holders are in FRONT of you, not on the armrests. Dont make the mistake I did and hold your cup the whole movie because you couldnt find the cup holder. All the staff is friendly, happy, and pleasant. Im always impressed by them. Theyre not like every other theatre where everyone acts like its just a job. They have online ticketing, with kiosks to print.Parking is free, easy, and plentiful. Never had issues with parking.Best theatre Ive been to in Atlanta.
I love this theater particularly because of the genre of movies that they feature.
Nothing fancy, just an older theater experience that focuses more on movies and being chill than cranking out what is most popular and profitable. There are specific movies that are better experienced here than on the big screen. With that said, since the theaters are. It too big, you can actually sit relatively close to the screen without arching the head too much and really experience a big screen.BONUS: at some showings, right before the movies starts, one of the employees welcomes you and tells you a little about the theater and special screenings they may have coming up, and he will do some of it in English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. It is sweet, and it gives a lot of heart to this place
I recently rented a screen here to play video games on the big screen for my friends bachelor party. Though there was initially a bit of confusion on the scheduling front, the staff worked together to rectify the error quickly and the night was a huge success. Not only was I impressed with the staff, but the entire experience was both affordable and a lot of fun; more people ought to take advantage of the screen rental opportunity here! A special thank you to Stephen, who organizes the rentals--he got everything set up in a flash so that we were able to maximize our play time without worrying about the details. Thanks!
Great theater, see a movie you cant see anywhere else, or see a classic on Tuesdays.
Went to go see Avengers Endgame. The facility was clean including the bathrooms which is a plus with any theater. I love that they hire special needs persons who love doing their job and helping patrons. 5 Stars all around!
Great location. Friendly staff. Clean.
Look. I get that its Georgia. But I expect better audience control out of a place that calls itself an arts cinema. Just... Stop talking and making noise. The audience would not stop talking, jeering and laughing throughout the showing of Midsommar. To the point where I had to walk out 20 mins before the end as the audience rolled with juvenile laughter at a disturbing ritual sex scene.Again, I dont fault the theater their audience being immature and rude. But I do fault them for having no enforceable rules regarding etiquette. When I walked out and complained to the attendant, their response was, thats Georgia. There is no higher recommended art cinema in the metro area, yet it felt like I was watching childs play at a mall outside Macon. We may be the largest city for filming, but we are embarrassingly bad at our appreciation for film. Midtown Arts. Set some rules and enforce them.
Great movie theater, even better after being totally renovated!
Great spot to catch both independent films and a couple blockbusters. They also regularly have older films that they will show. The theaters are small and not super sound proofed to the theaters around it, bit its hardly noticeable besides quiet moments of your film and loud moments of the films around you. I would definitely recommend dropping in for a flick, and dont forget to grab some popcorn!
Although this theater is a little run-down, I enjoy going here because they always host a lot of special events.
Love this small intimate theater. Saw Dunkirk here and felt like I traveled back to a much simpler time. Experience was top notch with a feel of history.
Sean the manager was extremely rude when my boyfriend and I were trying to find my phone that we misplaced on the lobby when no one was around except staff. The manager refused to help us, and directed us to call the police and to file a report. Seconds later a woman grabbed our attention as she had my phone. The manager was unwilling to help and rude as we were extremely calm and polite to him. Not sure why he doesn’t have proper customer service training.
I have frequented Landmark many times since moving back to Atlanta in 2012 and always enjoyed movies here...until tonight. While I appreciate the old school feel and much prefer a low key theater setting, this evening was a disappointment, over all. A much anticipated viewing of A Star is Born, for mother/daughter movie time, was dampered first by less than fresh popcorn and then worsened by the terrible lack of sound in theater 5! For a film rooted around the music biz....SOUND is very important. Check the speakers please. Still gave 3 stars...cause the ticket price is decent and location, with easy in and out, cant be beat.
Great place to watch movies and cinema was clean!
The customer service was excellent...from the greeters to those at the concession stand.
My favorite movie theater in the world. I just dont understand why the popcorn is not very good and I cant taste the butter even when they put a lot on it.
Usually not too crowded, chill feel, PBR is the same price as coke.
A great theater with low ticket pricing and excellent service
Chairs were extremely uncomfortable, neck and back hurt later. Otherwise its good. Was clean, well staffed, good parking lot and in a nice location overall.
Cool place to see independent films. Very nice management & great venue to host screenings. $7 popcorn will always be a miss for me, but hey, thats showbusiness.
This is how movie theaters ought to be. Intimate, interesting, and alcohol available.
Loved how its a hidden Gem, you get the best seats here since not too many ppl know abt it. Ill definitely be back
A lovely neighborhood theater with an eclectic art movie vibe. It mixes niche films with blockbusters. Everyone would be happier with one in walking distance.
Great small, neighborhood movie theater, with art films, foreign films, independent films. Great wine and gourmet snacks
This theater is my go-to. Super friendly staff and decent movie prices. Just wish they had a loyalty and/or movie program like Regal and AMC. Oh and its important to note that you can sometimes hear another movie through the wall, but its not that annoying.
When I lived in Atlanta I loved the various Indie films that would pop up at this cinema. Its clean and has plenty of parking, which is a huge plus given its basically in the city.
Just a simple old style movie theatre, clean and comfortable. I will go back.
First time here. I loved the atmosphere and the obvious support of indie filmmakers.
This theatre is so great. It doesn’t pretend to be what it isn’t. It’s charming and functional: which is a great compliment. It shows movies at affordable prices, has decent food and that’s all that’s needed to enjoy a movie.Always great that they allow outfest screenings there too!
Very outdated, theres no cup holders in the chairs, there old old. Its also hidden I walked by it three times, had to ask where it was. So for 11$, you get a very small theater and old uncomfortable chairs. For the area I expected something nice.
Nice little theater. The parking has enough spots in the front and the side of the building. Friendly staff. The theater is small and the screen is small too. But the best part about all that is I feel like Im close enough to the screen and at the same time able to see the whole picture. And maybe because of that the sound quality is good given the smaller space for the sound to travel to the ears. Seats are not comfortable and thats the only downside here. Great experience overall.
Theater was a little smelly/musty. Sound was great. Went mid-week first show and it was quiet. Plenty of parking. Some cool looking eateries to try next time.
I like this place. It’s nothing fancy but that’s what I like about it. Ticket prices are cheaper than big movie theaters and the concession stands has plenty of offerings. They have a unique lineup of movies that strikes a balance between blockbusters and independent film. The only downside is that if you decide to watch one of those blockbuster movies, this theater seems to really attract swarms of annoying kids that don’t shut up during the movie, especially during daytime showings. Independent films don’t seem to have that issue, naturally. I’ll give it a try a couple more times, but if this continues to be a problem, I’m switching to more premium options at places like Phipps AMC where kids don’t frequent.
I love the feeling of watching interesting movies in this theater
This location shows more independent features than other theaters, which is nice. The popcorn is good. The seats are old and somewhat uncomfortable.
I this movie theatre because the place is huge and spacious. The food court not expensive to get popcorn and drinks. Best part it is safe area.
Cool beer selection, fine choice of main stream & indie films/ docs.
My sons and I go here ...great price and food...right by park
Movie selection and great staff not to mention convenient.
The first time that l went here l thought that it was super cool. The movie theater was not crowded and its a small quaint theater. However, the second time, I bought 2 tickets to a black produced movie and was given one ticket for that movie and one ticket for a white produced movie - which I didnt notice until a few weeks later. Secondly... the movie theater was very crowded and thats when I noticed that since the seating is one level, that it is very hard to see over other peoples heads...so unless the movie theater is not crowded, I wouldnt recommend it and double check your tickets to make sure that the movies that youre seeing are the ones getting the credit!!
I prefer this theater in Midtown Atlanta. Its a great place.
Very excited this place seems like they have all the artsy movies that don’t make it to normal theaters. And they have their own unique program for art films. But the seats are literally so uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I are on the tall side. I could hardly cross my legs because of how close the row seats in front of us are. My butt fell asleep a couple times in every position. a little cramped. The guy in front of me was wearing a hat and it blocked a large percentage of the screen. I feel like nowadays, the stadium seating cuts down on that. the whole place could use a face lift.
Has the best selections of provocative and thought producing films in Atlanta. Supports the independent film community.
Cool little theater right off the beltline
I like this theater and the movie selections. Not crazy about the concessions or the money saving efforts(buy your tickets at the concession stands, fandango movie times arent necessarily correct because they dont work with fandango, etc). But whatever it takes to keep them in business. I quieter, more mature movie going experience
Love Landmark forever. Big selection of grown-up beverages including spirits, great mix of arthouse and mainstream flicks. No real food to speak of IIRC. Grab a drink at Independent afterward.
Nice movie theater but old.
Really cool area and lovely little art theater. Very creative and artsy space. Appreciated that I could view a movie here that I was dying to see but the main cinemas didnt show. Love the vibe. Good area to mingle with creative minds and Hollywood types.
Very cool art theater. Seats are a bit tight in relation to the ones in the Big Box cinemas of today. But the quality of the films is SO much better.
This theater was very nostalgic for me. It reminded me of the small theaters I went to as a child. Free refills on drinks and they do serve alcohol. Customer service was excellent.
Beautiful small theater. If you’re a college student in the Atlanta area, I suggest you go to this theater because it’s the cheapest you’ll find less than 30 minutes outside the city. This theater also has college nights where tickets are discounted with a valid college ID. I also love its location because there are plenty of restaurants to eat at before or after viewing a film. The bathrooms are kept very clean and the concession stand has fair prices.
Pre-ordered 4 tickets today, drove 30 minutes only to arrive and find the entire theatre closed for the night due to unexpected complications. Stood in line for a refund and was told our card would be credited in 2-3 business days NOT including the non-refundable $7.00 service charge. What a disappointment. No explanation, no email warning us in advance that there was a cancellation. Highly frustrated and will not return to this theatre.
Great art house and independent movie viewing.
Cute renovated cinema. Due to size there is a smaller selection of movies but everything we have seen has been great. Such a cool landmark on the area.
We go here a lot for movies. Usually it is not crowded, but for block buster movies (think Black Panther) it can be extremely busy. This theater plays a great assortment of movies, both main stream and independent type films. The theater and decor are a little dated but it is clean. Today it took longer than usual to buy my ticket as there was no one in the box office and the self service machines were down. The one guy behind the concession stand had to sling drinks, snacks, and tickets. My interactions with staff have always been positive.
Sticky floors and seats that smell like sweet flat beer.
This theater has a nice hometown feel.
