My friend who bowls there twice a week and said get it five stars. He says he is very pleased with the place.

Great people in the bowling alley and in the process shop. Food is standard bowling alley food but the kids working there are really pleasant people. Fun game room for the kids and an indoor putt putt golf. Great prices for birthday parties too!

Came for a travel league shortly after pandemic reopening. So packed is relative to what was allowed for the time, it was 5 bowlers per lane on every other lane. Full house, so basically closed to anyone not on the league, tho arcade was open to public.The travel league plays 12 games, 6 on Sat. 6 in Sun. Practice started at 11, meaning most everyone was there by 10:30 to set up/settle in. Normally finish up about 5 or 6.Parking lot:Full of potholes. I almost thought it was gravel, but its just the loose rocks from the potholes and surrounding cement. No shade.Atmosphere:Very dated, seemingly a strong wind away from blowing over completely. Hot & cold pockets throughout the building because the air circulation was terrible.Dead bugs in the bathroom and near exterior doors (including the door outside door near the kitchen).Restrooms:(Can only vouch for ladies room) super dated, like always. Stall doors are falling off hinges which makes them crooked/nearly unclosable. I had to push it up with my foot to line up the lock. Toilet paper wasnt in holders in any of the stalls, but placed on top of the dispensers. Trash outside of bins, despite us being the first people there all day. (Red flag, why arent bathrooms cleaned nightly?) No water pressure in sinks. Soap and paper towels werr fully stocked.Lanes/Equip.:Lanes seemed okay (wooden, not that dry), didnt have any problems with ball returns or pin set up like at some other old alleys.Lane 1 was super difficult to bowl on because the wall is right against the lane, meaning all the right handed bowlers ended up kicking it every time they were bowling. Lefty had no trouble, but would probably on the opposite end of the alley.Food:Staff/cooks werent wearing gloves or masks. Bugs as previously mentioned. Did not eat food from here.Normally the alleys we bowl in are pretty lax about outside food because 1. Were here ALL DAY on a Saturday AND Sunday. They know their options arent ideal for 2-3 meals in a day. 2. Personally, the alleys are very understanding when I explain my dietary restrictions (no meat, dairy, or eggs). The staff here was not understanding and reminded me of the no outside food rule (which, fair, not the problem) so I put away the food I had brought in and took it to my car. My boyfriend did not do the same. While I was eating in the car, they told him again about the outside food. He told them they didnt have any thing for us to eat. They said they have veggie burgers but when asked if they were cooked on the same grill/griddle as the meat the woman he was speaking with acted confused and walked away. (Red flag, why dont you know how your food is prepared?)Staff:Didnt interact with staff very much except the aforementioned food situation. They kind of seemed indifferent about customers. Dont know what it would be like on a normal business day.

Awesome place, and have fun playing there with friends and family. Snacks are decent, has a bar, a small arcade area, mini golf.However would like to see the place get some new shoes (didnt have my size and the ones I got were falling apart) and balls (balls are chipping in areas and finger holes are either too big or too small and the ones I did get had sharp sharp edges on the finger holes, it started to hurt my fingers).

Nice bowling center. I did not bowl. But plan to. Just took pictures of things and posted. Now I know Thursday is league night...no open bowling. So pretty much any other time.

Started bowling leagues again after a 9 year break. Love this place! Lindsey is the owner and runs the pro shop as he is a Brunswick staff agent. Great house shot and very nice people. Not sure why so many complain about staff as everyone I have met is super polite.

My 10yo son has recently joined their youth bowling league. Nicole is amazing, helpful, and knowledgeable. The coaches (owners) are fantastic. They got us a great deal on bowling ball package that not only includes the ball, but also a bag and shoes.

Athens bowling center is hiring all positions. If you love a hostile work environment then this is the job for you. Inconsistency? Yes! They have it. The schedule is so shady and the management as well. They have a very strict dress code unless you’re the owners daughter. If you have a life then this job wouldn’t suit you. They ask you for availability but don’t expect them to follow it. On a positive note this place is great on Monday’s $1.75 bowling all day!

Hi. I go to the bowling alley every now and then to bowl. My parents are in a league. My mom works there right now. Its a good place to go if you want to hangout with friends or family. Its a great place to take kids. There is a bar but you have to be 21 to even go in that area so you dont have to worry about your kids just walking in there and getting some thing. There is a snack bar and it has a good verity of things you can get. The owners are amazing. If you have a problem they help. Im not gonna lie. That place if fun. If you go at the right time its not too crowded. I enjoy going there. There is mini golf and an arcade so that is fun for smaller kids. There are pool tables. Its a fun place. Its a fun place to hang out or do birthday parties

The place is nice but they definitely need to figure out how to get better equipment to make their food faster especially if they are going to host parties or have big groups to feed so it wont be as chaotic

Went there for my 11 year old sons birthday. Played 4 games of bowling and 2 games of pool. Also my wife, son and I enjoyed the food. I recommend their burger basket that comes with fries. All in all we had a great time. There is a digital music playlist you can choose from to play your favorite songs while having fun. It costs $1.00 per song. My son also won a prize in the arcade. This place has an ATM machine and accepts credit/debit cards. After spending about 4 hours at the bowling alley it was an $80.00 day. The employees that work here were nice and helpful. Will come back coming up!

They have a pool table here. This place is real laid back and a good place to have a fun time!

Never go here. I was verbally assaulted by an employee named Debbie because I asked an employee if she needed a ride home because I wanted to make sure she was safe. I then confronted the owner about the issue of his employee verbally assaulting me and he couldn’t care less about this. I have also been assulted by his child before and have seen many other people get terrorized by his child and again he doesn’t care. This company obviously doesn’t care the least bit about their customers who are the reason they are in business in the first place. Some of the other staff are very nice helpful and respectful but I can’t spend any more of my money at a corrupt business that will protect the wrong doings of an employee over the safety of their customers.

Had a great experience from the initial phone call to ask questions to our departure to go home! We celebrated our 5 year old daughters birthday with our family, taking her bowling for the first time. Bowling in Athens was an affordable family activity for all ages! Up to 10 could be in the party & we had 7 people playing. Our shoe rental & 3 pitchers of soda were included in our 1.5 hour bowling party for $60!! Our party ranged in age from 2 years old to 56 years old. The staff were pleasant & never minded answering questions.Thanks to Katie who answered all of our questions over the phone before we made the hour drive to get there. Thanks to Debbie for ensuring we had two lanes & were able to play, after I mistakenly underestimated our time of arrival.Thanks to the concession staff for their great attitudes & good customer service.We look forward to bowling again in Athens!

The ladies had fun bowling. Had problems with missing pins but it didnt make a difference for us. Most people it would have.They should not charge people for mini golf. It is not kept up. I had to clean off half of the 18 holes before playing. They were covered with wood chips. The holes that had moving parts were all broken. It needs a lot of maintenance but what a great idea. Helpful staff but they didnt seem to care when I mentioned the condition of the golfing area.I wasnt going to let anything stop my ladies from having a good time.

I have been going there for years. The atmosphere is fun and none stressful. Good for age groups.

Not bad but not great either. Small arcade area with a couple of pool tables. A mini golf course but its a little run down. The lanes are good, machines are dated but everything seems to work. $1.50 games on Monday, $3.50 to $4 on other days.

It is a very nice alley. The last alleys I bowled were in Ohio and this is very nice. I like the owner. I bought a new ball and he spent a lot of time making sure the ball was good for me.

I love the ABC! Lanes are kept in a nice shape, and very fair pricing. If something goes wrong they will fix it. Pro Shop their is Friendly and they do an amazing job!I am new to bowling and i bu them all the times about tips and tricks, they never send me away and even gave me a few lessons on how to improve my hook.Monday nights is 1 dollar games, i will be there every Monday for sure

It was fun I just wasnt aware it was 4 per person per game so for me and my husband to play it was 8 a game and so cost a little more at the end then we had anticipated but I havent bowled in many many years so it was a blast may go back may go to the points got to look for the nights they have specials

Ill be honest, the interior and actually bowling part of this alley are great. Top notch with no issues. I have a serious beef with the management however. The schedule is not posted *anywhere*. Its not posted on google, or on the City of Athens website. It isnt even in the front window if you drive by. Any schedule you find for this bowling alley online is wrong. It has different hours almost everyday which makes it a massive pain to schedule in advance, and the hours themselves are seemingly random. The only place that a semi-trustworthy schedule is posted behind the front counter. But even then you may show up a couple hours after the listed opening time only to find that the owner still hasnt shown up yet as people begin to wait outside (even employees). When you finally get in you dont get an apology for the wait or anything. I even called up to the alley one time to confirm their hours for the day and when I showed up (about 45 mins before the close time I was told) they told me they had closed 15 minutes ago (1 hour earlier than when I was told).This is a BUSINESS and we are your CUSTOMERS. ACT LIKE IT. You dont open a business when you feel like it. You open it when you SAY YOU WILL.And for the record, here is the schedule as posted behind their front desk:Su: 2 PM -- 8:30 PMM: 10 AM -- 9 PMT: 2 PM -- 8 PMW: 10 AM -- 3 PMTh: ???????? (They skipped thursday -- there is literally a giant blank. typical)F: 2 PM -- 10 PMSa: 12 PM -- 11 PMSee what I mean about random?
