A beautiful space to walk, sit or meditate. We walked around and read the different memorial plaques. The benches were nicely spaced out so mom could sit and rest as much as she needed to. This little park is a treasure!
This was an extremely nice park for a weekend stroll with the family. It is stroller friendly and dog friendly, but you must keep your dog on a lease. It was interesting to see trees from different states and countries. From the looks of it, theybtook seeds or saplings from all over and planted them in the park. A few trees of note are an oak from Grandpa Earhart estate, a tree from George Washingtons white house, and a Moon Tree. The seeds were taken to the moon on Apollo 14 in 1971, and they were brought back and planted. One of those trees happens to be at this park.
What an amazing place! So much history and it is cool when you find your state and the tree your state sent. You see back in the 1970s they started this forest and asked each state to send a tree and all 50 sent a tree. Then they started asking countries to send a tree to be planted. I think about 30 countries sent a tree.
Didnt know about it until an article in the paper. It was well worth the drive.
Our home school group stopped at this park after our field trip to the Amelia Earhart Museum recently. What a beautiful and peaceful park! It is well maintained, very nicely landscaped, & well thought out. What a beautiful tribute to Amelia Earhart, and others in aviation history! Im really glad we visited!

Excellent place to go for a nice walk!
Nice little park in a quiet area of town.
For what is it its a great park. There is camping and trailer hook ups and some primitive camping as well.Nice park.
Lovely, not everyone abides by dog rules, or common courtesy, but if you can be there when no one else is... its lovely.
Quiet and a great walking trail. And you get to learn about trees!
Beautiful little park that celebrates the trees. Great place to visit if you are a nature buff. Parking is a bit limited though.
Beautiful place for a walk to get in touch with nature, or beautiful place for date to just get away from the hustle and bustle. Picnic, pictures, education. Nice place to visit. But be ready to walk and have good shoes if you plan to walk the entire forest!
The kids love Pokemon hunting at this location
Such a peaceful place.
Small and hard to find. But a well kept park.
A lot lovely place to visit. The walk highlighting trees from all over the country and world. If youre in the Atchison area make the visit.
Beautiful scenery and amazingly variation of trees.
Great place of interest for many reasons, ppl peaceful, interesting, educational, history of previous enjoyers of nature as well.
Nice place to walk with a stroller and ride with training wheels. Also learning about the variety of tree God made!
The International Forest of Friendship is a wonderful place--peaceful yet inspiring, rooted in the earth yet linked to some of our greatest adventures in and above the sky. The pathways and lawns of the Forest are well worth an hour, or an afternoon. The Moon Tree and astronauts circle remind us of Kansas motto--to the stars, through difficulties. I look forward to coming back to this living, growing memorial to the world history of aviation and aerospace.
Amazing collection of beautiful trees from all over the United States and different parts of the world. An unexpected treasure.
Great campground ! Showers not winterized great rate friendly folks!!
Great place for a relaxing walk through a wooded area.
Best place to take pictures it is so beautiful there
A lovely setting and our interest in aviation made the plaques extra interesting. This is a great place for a bit of exercise that doesnt feel like exercise.
Unless you are inordinately interested in trees, it gets boring, quick.
Very peaceful
Good place to visit
Pretty place!
Nice walk but there were a lot of mosquitos.
Address is wrong. Search for Allingham drive on the GPS. It is outside of Atchison.
