Beautiful place for photos or a blanket on grass picnic lunch. Enjoy the many fountains but nothing else to do. There are no gardens it is misleading.

Ax very relaxed park in the middle of town where you can go eat lunch at bring your kids and pets too theirs is a water fountain in the center of the park nice and friendly people for the most part

A very beautiful park enjoyed see the building and the fountains. We had gone to a tamale festival there. The festival was fun tons of tamales vendors. If you love tamales that is the festival to go too

Beautiful place to go. May have to stick to one section as it is not always safe to go to if you have a baby because there can be a lot of homeless hanging out there.

BEAUTIFUL, best way to spend a lunch hour! The sound of the fountain, the cool green grass, city hall. I love seeing happy dogs out with their humans.

Summer nights are a nice time to visit Atascaderos Sunken Garden. its along the path of El Camino and accessible to walking. ridge near a movie theater, restaurants and beer hall. Just sitting and enjoying the sound of the fountain under the trees. Also summer night movies, Farmers market and Hot El Camino Nights Cruise.

We are celebrating the tamale festival and the winner was best tamales in paso robles LLDM

Beautiful still... unfortunately like the rest of the central coast - some places more - and others less the area has attracted more homeless than before 2013... Same goes for drugs, etc...it remains nevertheless a safe place to visit during the day or when varius events take place. The police here in town and given their proximity to the area seem to react very quickly when needed....like a quick reaction force....no problems with that though...

There was no garden in the sunken garden, but there was a beautiful fountain in the center of the lawn.

Sunken Gardens was great. We went there after the Mid State Cruizers Car Show at Atascadero Lake Park. Dancing in the Streets was a lot of fun, bands, food vendors and dancing. I would recommend going there next year for sure.

You can check out the 3-4 small museum areas, and see how life was like back in the discovery days of Atascadero. Dont forget to request a tour of the upstairs Rotonda. Its beautiful, and the view is gorgeous as well.Come and celebrate Colony Days in Atascadero every year in October. Located in Sunken Gardens (directly in front of City Hall). See what life was like, and enjoy more Atascadero history, directly in front of City Hall.

Its a beautiful place and its safe from trafficso you can bring your kids there have a good time and not worry about the ball rolling into the traffic. The grass is amazing here it always seems to be very lush and green.

A very pretty ground surrounding a beautiful courthouse. We attended the 2019 Tamale Festival, which was fantastic.

Its a staple of Atascadero. Theres some nostalgia to it. Its a great center of town for when they do events and its always a good time. Day to day there could be some shady characters hanging around though.

Nice city park. Was there for the tamale festival and it worked very well.

Unfortunately not enough responsible pet owners in the area cleaning up after their pets, but other than that nice place to sit and relax or have a yoga class.

The Sunken Gardens in Atascadero,Ca has always been one of my favorite places in A-twn besides the Lake Park & the Charles Paddock Zoo. It is a cool place just to Hang-out & it is so neatly decorated during Christmas time!!
