Reneé is an amazing artist & a great person...her work, communication, collaboration, are of the highest caliber. She has a great studio space & follows COVID / other safety precautions scrupulously. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Renee is an incredibly driven, talented artist. She has given me three tattoos; two I chose directly from her flash because of their individual, powerful, and dynamic aesthetic and a third, the dandelion, which she perfectly drew for me based upon a vague idea and desire. I am proud to host her art for the rest of my time. The frequent compliments and inquiry as to who the artist is and what inspired the pieces boosts my mood every time. Thanks to Renee I now have tattoos which stand out in a world of familiarly renditioned flash. I would recommend a private session at “Simply Human Art” for anyone wanting to don themselves with powerful body art nobody else will have. As a tattooer Renee made me feel welcome, was considerate of my pain levels, and more than happy to touch up her art as soon as it was healed. I had the great luck to meet Renée in 2013 - she made such an impression on me, personally and as an artist, that by the time she was opening up her own shop, I flew nearly 3,000 miles to be tattooed by her. I was one of the first to be tattooed in this shop in mid-May 2019, and I cant recommend it enough. As a woman whos been tattooed by men 4 times, getting tattooed by Renée was such a different and more comfortable experience. Her shop has a great atmosphere, and she plays very chill indie music, which made me feel very at home. Renée is a fantastic artist who listens to her clients and does very steady, complicated, detailed art that is phenomenal. Highly recommend if youre looking for a meaningful tattoo experience by a local artist!

I have two pieces by Renee and from start to finish I had a great experience. She is a true artist but by far my favorite part about being tattooed by her is demeanor. She listens, is patient and makes you feel very comfortable. She has mastered the balance of giving you guidance and knowledge while maintaining the integrity of the exact piece you want to get. It is very clear that her focus is her art and making sure her clients are happy. The shop is cozy and clean, and I never had an issue with my tattoos (besides wanting to get even more tattoos after seeing them).

I had my first tattoo done by Renee, a simple semicolon. She made sure to test the tattoo site with no ink to make sure I could handle the pain of it. The tattoo only took 2 minutes, and after 3 months it looks great. Very happy and looking forward to more tattoos from Simply Human Art!

I have gotten a couple pieces done from Renee and they are BY FAR my FAVORITE. She has done amazing work and is by far my favorite artist that I have gotten to know over the years. She has now started a sleeve of pieces on my left arm and they are my absolute favorite. Go in and start a chat with her and you wont regret it!

Renèe is an amazing tattooer. 10/10 would recommend, and do again (and I plan on it). Not only is she an honest, kind and clearly communicating professional, her tattoos and line work turn out SO WELL.One of the things that really sets her apart for me, after having been tattooed by over 15 people in my life, is that she has a really light hand. My ~6x6 tattoo from late 2016 still looks super fresh, the lines are clean, connected, and the black fill is even- no patches of lighter or darker ink.Another thing thats really great about Simply Human Art, besides the amazing art, is that she is super down to work with you to get what you want- and I never felt pressured to land on something specific or felt like I was being pushed into something.. Renée is a true artist - she has a strong and beautiful point of view that comes through in every piece she draws/tattoos. Simply Human Art’s studio is comfortable, clean, and spacious, so there’s room to invite friends with you when you get tattooed. Renée can talk to anyone and she’s genuinely curious about everyone she meets; she makes you feel comfortable right away. I can’t recommend Renée and her work enough! I tell all my friends about her. Her work is all over my walls. I don’t have any tattoos yet, but she will be the first person I go to when I want ink.
