I have been staying at Hyatt lake for many many years, never an issue always a blast. As I say many many years since the newest owners bought and took possession many years ago nothing but a hit and miss of a good time and a absolute miserable experience. I cannot believe the rude, hostile, argumentative, literally searching for an issue owners in my life have I ever dealt with. I said its hit and miss. I personally have gone with my two sons many times and have had a blast. Ive personally never had an issue, its weird only making the reservations is the problem. Im thinking that my last name might be associated with another group that goes there, but its not me. So Im very embarrassed as I was making reservations in front of people to be treated in such a way that would embarrass anyone. I hope your proud of your ethical behavior, but as far as Im concerned Id like to thank you for ruining a tradition for myself as a single mother trying to keep a tradition going for my kids. Unreal. Thanks for canceling my second cabin, and thank you for charging me 12 hours later a cancelation fee for a reservation thats two months away. Happy Holidays.

Very friendly staff and great food at the restaurant. The cabins were clean and cozy. The only suggestion would be to have a towel warmer or some way to dry swimsuits for the cabins with hot tubs. Great find tucked up in the woods. Will definitely be returning!

These tiny homes are just perfect. Everything you need, bright and modern, not run-down at all. The restaurant serves good breakfast and calzones. Staff is friendly and accommodating. My complaints are all so minor they cant affect my rating.

I used to really like this place, been staying there off and on for the past couple years. Until my husband and I went there for our anniversary. We got home after a great weekend. Checked my emails, noticed I had and email from Hyatt Lake Resort with a charge for a hand towel. Granted the charge was only for $5 but I have never damaged anything EVER when staying at a hotel or resort. I actually found it pretty offensive that we were accused of something we didnt NOT even do. It the principle of it. I will NEVER stay at this place again. Maybe they should consider not hiring meth heads!!

This place is amazing and the rates for the cabins are excellent for what is offered! Absolutely beautiful cabins and views of the surrounding nature. A short walk across the round to some serene views of the lake. I’ve stayed in a few different cabins and all of them have exceeded my expectations. Yet to go up in winter but from the pics I’ve seen posted I really need to.

Love the vibe. Super relaxing. I would have given 5 stars if the cabin was clean and repaired when we arrived. I made the proper repairs and cleaned the shower surround.

Cute spot, cool little restaurant & store with everything you need, nice staff.. Unfortunately the lake is hardly ever full, especially in late summer. Not the resorts fault, but it would be nice if they lowered their cabin rental price when the scenery is not so great. They charge $20 extra if only staying one night (changes lowest-cost cabin from $139 to $159), which is why weve never stayed though wed really like to try it out for a night without paying extra. We are locals who like to take stay-cactions but work full time so 2 nights just isnt an option. Hopefully they rethink the surcharge! They would get our business in that case!

Surprised my husband with a night in one of their cabins. He was so happy even more happy to see there was a hot tub! We had the prime rib dinner(Saturday nights) after checking in with the lovely Sunshine-she was so helpful and efficient! We each got a good size mug of beer on tap I got Blue Moon ^_^ I asked if they had any of the Marion berry cobbler left and they were out...then low and behold chef was able to scrape together some fresh ones for us! So yeah the service was A+ It tasted like my Grandmas cobbler which is saying something!The cabin itself was..honestly I was shocked it was sound proof inside and warm, clean and whoever did the decor knows what they are doing.Everything I could have needed was provided: extra blankets, BBQ on the porch, towels for pets,dishes and utensils even a nice candle on the table so we could cuddle on the couch in the living room with a nice ambiance.I just want to say thank you to all of you working hard to make the resort a truly enjoyable escape!

We love this place!! 15 miles outside of Ashland and beautiful!! Sunshine at the front desk is awesome! Theyre so nice and helpful! The whole staff is great!

Our stay during the stay at home order was amazing. The level of sanitation and attention to detail made us feel comfortable to have a small getaway. The staff here is so friendly and our pizza was great too! Can’t wait to stay again.

Stayed at the cabins (not the ones at the resort itself, the ones near the lake) and stopped by here to try their pizza. Definitely worth it and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Its just a great place to stop and eat when you are up in the mountains. Friendly staff and really yummy food. And the price isnt outrageous. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Go up and try the pizza. Oh yeah!

We really did have a great stay. The owners and staff were exceptionally accommodating and very pleasant. The cabins were clean and tidy, though there were some repairs that need to be made. Mostly cosmetic. The hot tub was wonderful! We had some pleasant conversations with some PCT through hikers too.

Staff is extremely friendly. The grounds are well kept. The cabins are fairly stocked with essentials and clean.

Great place for the family. Or just to get out of town. Staff at the resort are friendly. Cabin rentals are awesome.

We booked this place to celebrate our anniversary, drove all the way from California. Beautiful location with snow all around. Cottage is small but you have everything you need in there. It was snowing and we were really looking forward to using the hot tub. It wasnt turning on at first, one of the management guys came and turned it on but it was 79 digress ( freezing cold when it is snowing outside) waited a whole evening and it went up to like 84. I went to the office, and the service guys house all through the night. No help at all. Next day was our checkout and we said we are very disappointed that hut tub didnt work. To my surprise they didnt do anything about it. No refund, no comphensation! I guess they really dont care about retaining customers.

We had heard that they have really good pizza. So we left our campsite and went there and ordered 2 large ones to go and I have to say it was one of the best pizzas weve had. We didnt stay there but the cabins looked awesome and we cant wait to stay there. The people there are so welcoming and very friendly. It is a kind of a mix between modern and rustic with the feel of a fishing resort. They have a store with minimal offerings but I think thats because of the limited space they have.

Worst Manager Ive ever had to deal with!! Sunshine dont no anything about how to be a good manager!

We love this place. The people running the restaurant are great. The food is honestly quite good (try the pancakes or French toast for breakfast; both excellent), and they do a great Bloody Mary.Weve only stayed in a cabin once, but it was a great time. Sitting in the hot tub while it was snowing was an experience well want to come back to do again.In addition to the restaurant, they also have a small store with a well-picked selection of necessities, which can be very helpful.Were absolutely coming back again soon!

Great time, good service! this is our sixth visit over two years, and always a pleasure. If there is ever an issue, hosts will move you to another cabin, once the cable was out in our cabin, and moved us immediately. I love the area for hiking, and can bring my dog!!!

My wife and I absolutely love going to Hyatt Lake Resort.

Very nice cabin, area is beautiful and quiet. The resort store and cafe service was excellent. Our bed in #11 was too hard and uncomfortable please replace it. Otherwise 5 star!

Hyatt Lake Resort is really quite beautiful during snowy, winter time. I also visit during the summer for some camping. The resort is nice and table mountain snow park is just around the corner. There is a warming house and also a latrine onsite.

Extremely dissatisfied even before I got to the cabin. Be weary of hidden price hikes and limitations not clearly mention on their website.Cabin #X, Capacity of 6 for 125 a night? Sounds amazing!Well, here is what they dont tell you until you have booked.add an extra $75 cleaning fee because they want that price to look lowerOnly 2 (TWO!) Guests are alloted, the extra 4 they advertise are considered extra and are charged $15 dollars each.But wait, thats not all, you cant just stay one night, you HAVE to book TWO nights. so double EVERYTHING. (Except the cleaning fee)Soon that $125 or $250 rent turns into $490 for guests and cleaning.Oh and no refunds unless you cancel 30 days beforehand.So, if you had a budget to take your friends out to the lake for a night or two? kiss your wallet goodbye.

Can I give negative stars? Owners a crazy old guy that yells at customers in the restaurant. Food takes forever and is subpar. My kids make better pizza in their easy bake oven. Would not recommend.

My husband and I were on a bike ride from Ashland when we got caught in very cold, wet weather without proper rain gear. We stopped into the restaurant to warm up and have a cup of hot cocoa. Dani, the waitress, was very, very thoughtful and kind; she was wonderful. In fact, she called the owner for us and asked if he could give us a ride part way down the hill until we cleared out of the rain. Bob was so kind to do this for us; he really saved us from what could have been a miserable bike ride down.I can only image their service for the cabins is equally excellent.

We came on 2017 was amazing experience! Very clean, quiet! We rest as expected away from nosy city in LA.Came back on October 2018 experience was all opposite, check in by 4:00pm cabin 3 was extremely dirty with a horrible smell and rests of marihuana, plus a horrible noise of the heater ( like a big noise engine inside your room) that starts after midnight every 15-20 min talked with manager he said was a vent!Will say still a good getaway if you don’t face those issues! They turn off the heater breaker that’s how they fix the issue! Great for them don’t think we’re coming back here again!

Its beautiful! We happened to reserve while they were doing a 2 nights for 1 deal which made it doable. The Hot tub was great. The staff is super nice. The little restaurant is pretty pricy for what is offered (ex: the hotdog is $6) but the little kitchen in the cabin and the BBQ made it easy to cook what we brought (except our steak... which was taken by a family of foxes, because we had to leave it in the snow while we waited for our room to finish being cleaned at check in lol). I wasnt very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, and when the heater came on it was extremely loud each time which kept waking up our baby. They are dog friendly so my dog got to meet dog friends and overall it was still a lovely little getaway. :) Thanks Hyatt Lake Resort!

Great place to stay locally when we dont feel like going to the coast. I actually left here more relaxed than our last coast trip.

Unbelievably rude! I cant believe the owner lady didnt have a stroke by how mad she got by us pulling past the office. We go to check in and she is just livid by our mistake. We asked if she could calm down and not yell at us because we were sorry. I told her our name and she said we cant stay in the cabin with 5 people, 2 dogs, and we cant park our cars in the parking area. We made reservations and I asked whoever I talked to on the phone who and what I can bring. Also what was okay and wasnt she denied that any of her employees would allow any of it.. We drove 4 hours with snowmobiles in extreme conditions for my girlfriends birthday only to find out that this owner is a non sympathetic distrespectful control freak. After being told we wont be charged and we need to leave she had a guy come after us and threaten us with a gun. This place needs to be boycotted or shut down.. no wonder their bankrupted..

Really tiny but quiet and cozy. Id do it again. Bring your own food if you want better than $7 hotdogs. Didnt try the pizza. Choose wisely for a great view.

Weve stayed here several times and really loved it, but this last time changed our minds and we will NEVER go back. Stayed in cabin #20 and checked in late so we paid in the morning. There were several small cleaning issues and a couple maintenance things going on with the cabin. Went down to pay in the morning and was going to stay and have breakfast...until the owner lady asked me how our stay was. I said ok and she asked what was wrong. I proceeded to tell her and she came unglued!!! These were not huge things, but I thought she would want to know before the next guest arrived. I guess I ruined her day...at least that is what she screamed at me. I have never seen an owner of a business act so childish in my life. Proceeded to scream and throw a fit and tell me she was firing her housekeeper that morning. Like this was my fault. Not one to keep quiet myself I couldnt even say anything due to being in complete shock and this persons melt down. I ended up walking out crying and apologizing. Why? Im not quite sure....thats just how horrible she treated me. She didnt charge us for the night, but I tried to pay several times. I was not trying to get a free night or even complain. I was trying to give her a heads up, but I guess that was the wrong move. She screamed at me and threw her hands in the air saying its not even worth it to me to charge you. Also screaming how she busts her behind to make that place run...again not my issue, but I sure left feeling like I ruined her life choices. I think she is in the wrong business personally. And not once did she apologize for our issues. So if u stay be careful who you talk to and what you say because you could set off a major upset. Sorry again I ever said anything as no one should leave a place feeling like this. You lost a lot of future business and money from us as I have a good size family and was planning our vacation there. Thanks for the free night, but to me it was not even worth it!

Horrible, never again. Hot tub was cold the Direct tv kept cutting out, clear weather. Had to unplug the tv to turn it off. Prime rib dinner Saturday night if thats what you want to call prime rib sub par. So the cook asked if we would like the owner to call us and we agreed. Guess what? No call. Sounds like he dont care. We have sent other people up there our recommendations. Sorry not doing that again. Too much money and stuff dont work. The hot tub was ice cold. I paid for that service. Are they going to refund part of my money? More than likely not. So if you want to take a chance go for it. I wont fall for sub par service again. Its clear they do not care about customers. They must have plenty of money to run off good paying customers. Next time Ill go to the coast. This just happened to be our 38yr anniversary and it was ruined. I could have stayed home and had the same thing without the cost. We had planned on having breakfast in the morning but we decided they had enough money and they could afford to have us eat elsewhere. So we did. Take heed, we will not be back. I hope someday somebody will take that place over that knows something about customer service. The current owner/ manager knows nothing about customer service. Oh and get a chef in there that knows how to cook.

Im afraid I have to totally agree with the review from customer Jeannie regarding their unhappiness with Cabin #20 and their negative experience talking with the owner/manager of the cabins.We too rented Cabin #20 recently and were so unhappy we left a night early after already being paid up.The TV in the cabin was actually just a small computer monitor. We also believed we would have Wi-Fi being so close to the main lodge but we did not. (The website information was a bit unclear about this feature and should specifically point out the cabins DO NOT have Wi-Fi!) Additionally, our hot tub privacy ended up being some see through green plastic mesh with the tub located right next to the cabin next doors deck.Dont be fooled by the diagram of the cabins on the website, they are absolutely right next to each other in a very small circle with no privacy unless you stay inside with all of the windows closed. Very claustrophobic for cabins in this price range.When I finally did get up the nerve to call the manager a few weeks later to share my frustrations, all I received were excuses with no apology whatsoever for our extreme disappointment. Unlike the other negative review of Cabin #20 I was really hoping I could get some kind of refund for the day we paid for but didnt stay and use. This seemed to be the farthest thing from the owners mind. Had I received any kind of sympathy or remorse for our experience I would have felt a lot better (and not have written this review.)

Bob McNeely is ill tempered and foul mouthed . The cook quit, the doodle family cleaning the units quit, and the employee was murdered. 9/4 someone from fbi needs to deal with this place.
