Great theater, there doesnt seem to be a bad seat in the whole place. The set was beautifully done. We saw Peter and the Starcatcher. It was an amazing show, the whole cast was wonderful and funny! I highly recommend it!

The largest indoor theater for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. A very comfortable place to see a play, the seats are comfortable and the ambiance is nice. They have limited food and drinks, including wine and beer, that you can purchase for reasonable prices considering where you are at. Restrooms are located downstairs and there is three levels of doors to access seats in the theater. Acoustics are very good and even in the back row I can hear and see the actors very well.

I saw Mother Road for the 2nd time. It is not to missed. The Bowmer is one of my favorite theatres. There are no bad seats and loads of handicap seating. There are ample stalls in the womens restrooms. The sound system is great. The house staff is friendly and helpful. And the lobby is a lovely inviting place.

This year OSF is performing a colorful rendition of Hairspray. Be sure to walk in front of the stage during intermission and look at the band located under the stage. So cool! Great performance by all with a special shout out to my friend Jonathan Luke Stevens.

The theater was very nice and clean, but definitely had the traditional, way too close to the person next to you, seating. It was a great theater over all and the production quality was top notch. We saw Hairspray, which I highly recommend! One other criticism is that I ordered a drink and wasnt informed that I could not bring it into the theater. I had to stand outside the theater and pound my drink before the show started. Still, even then it was a great experience!

Seats are not that comfortable. Nice theater, great plays, but how can you sit in those seats for over 2 hours. I will think twice before I buy tickets to that venue.

Br
Review №35

The theater is comfortable and a great venue for plays as well as other performances. Traditional styled with easy entrance and exit even with stairs. In the past performances by musicians would take place on the plaza in front of the theater, but because of the wildfires and smoke there were no performances during the first few weeks of August 2018.

My girlfriend and I have seen 3 shows here now. We drive approximately 4 hours to Ashland every October to check out the beautiful fall leaves and experience the Shakespeare Festival. This year we saw Othello (which was excellent). The theater is always clean, the staff is friendly, and there is plenty of seating without being too squished -- which can be an issue in some theatres. Highly recommended!

Beautiful theater, comfortable seats. Designed so you can hear every sound that comes from the stage. I love how the seats are perfectly spaced so even if there is someone tall in front of you, your seat is high enough to see over them. Not a bad seat in the house, everyone can see full stage perfectly.

The lighting and colors were noticably good! There was a discussion after the show which was fun. On the way out, we ran into Roman Garagoza (Orlando)... Treat for me. Shout out to you Roman... 3 plays in two days, and were all marvelous. Othello was a lesson on really figuring out who to trust. Destiny of Desire was an over the top hilarious telenovela. Sense and Sensibility was a comedic version of the Jane Austen classic. All plays featured diverse actors.

We just got back from Hairspray. What a fantastic book, songs with powerful lyrics and rousing music, great choreography performed well by a diverse group. The performances brought such joy to the audience. Literally, the house was rocking. The show was funny and authentic to the Baltimore I know. Greta Oglesby as Motormouth Maybelle was so moving singing I Know Where Ive Been that I cried because of the lyrics of the struggle we are still having with equality and justice, and because of her rich, powerful delivery. Katy Geraghty as Tracy Turnblad drove the show with her wonderful voice, dynamic delivery, great dancing.I have attended topnotch musicals on Broadway, and the quality and energy of this show ranks with those. I would love to see this performance againThe audience went wild.
