We had our wedding at ScienceWorks and it was the PERFECT VENUE! Our guests (kids AND adults!) had a blast playing with the exhibits and the outdoor area -- with views of Grizzly Peak -- was beautiful for our ceremony and reception. Regina and Kevin were super helpful to make our wedding everything we had imagined! Highly recommend not just as a science museum but as an awesome event space!
My kids loved this little museum and all the fun experiments to try. They got to discover so many interesting sides of science that are often overlooked or taken for granted. When you really dig into some of the topics they cover here, the most simple and basic things can be amazing if presented right. I think the highlight of the place for the kids was the paper plane, helicopter and rocket building in the back.
This is an excellent hands-on museum for kids age 1 - 12, and always worth visiting for that! This review is for their temporary exhibit, which is there till Sept 2, 2019, which is also excellent for adults! If you are in town to see some plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, plan an hour or two to come check out Wild Music. It covers the science of music (like how the ear processes sound, how the structure of a birds larynx differs from a human and how that affects the music they make), and also looks at how music is found in nature and how nature sounds inspire human musicians. Lots to read about and lots to try out hands-on! (Adults will also probably enjoy the optical illusions exhibit.)
Having been to a number of science centers across the United States, this small but well curated center offers fun and informative exhibits that appeal to both young and old. Their tinkering studio offers children the opportunity to make and build, using modern technologies. They also offer a wonderful space for toddlers that is immersive and hands on.
I just had the most amazing time at ScienceWorks for my son’s school field trip. The staff was amazing and incredibly patient and encouraging with the kids. The whole experience was centered around them, it was so nice to just let all the kids explore and think freely.
We went to spend some time with our family. Cost us 68 dollars to get in and half the exhibits were either broken or in disrepair. Felt the price was too steep for the small amount of activities they had to offer. We live local but will not be going back. Would be in your better interest to drive 5 hours to OMSI in Portland.
I love taking my son here! For a small town, this is a nice museum. Simple, yet friendly staff and I always see children ranging from 1-12 running around happily...However, within the last two months, one of the toddler stations have been broken, a little sad that it’s still not fixed yet. We have come at least twice and it hasn’t been fixed. The water station is one of my toddlers favorite stations. Hope it gets fixed soon!
Brought the kids here 2 years ago and had a great time. I even enjoyed checking out the exhibits and may have had more fun than the kids. This visit was a bit of a let down due to the number of exhibits that were completely broken, in disrepair or longer available.
Okay. i have been going here for my birthday for about four years now every year. but the new dinosaur thing SUCKS. you should bring back the animatronic dinosaurs or the sound area. it is a disappointment going now but it is still quite fun. there is barely any thing there anymore and it is pretty expensive.
A wonderful place to take a kid. Borrow a relatives kid so you dont look out of place, I love it.
Heads up: THEY CHANGED THEIR HOURS! Super, super disappointed that they pushed their opening time back from 10 am to 11 am! This was pretty much the only place for morning outings (especially on Sundays!)....so....thanks for ruining that, Scienceworks. We will come her significantly less bc of the change. That said, this place is fun. I took off a star bc the time change is sincerely a bummer. They have rotating exhibits which are hit & miss. The constant exhibits are solid- my kid especially likes the toddler room.
Myself and the kids loved this place. Is a great place to do and learn. I was only disappointed that i went on veterans day, asked if they had a veterans discount, and was told they only offer something to active duty. They serve, Ive served what is the deference?
We love coming here so much!! It’s one of our favorite places to play!!
I love this place! Its fascinating, fun, educational, and great for kids, parents, and grandparents. There is so much to do and I live that each display or play area has scientific explanations so you can understand what is happening ... besides pure fun!Definitely check out the scream booth and the shadow room, but give yourself lots of time to see--and play--with everything. And Im not just referring to kids playing! This grandmother had just as much fun as my grandkids ... maybe more!
Always a fun time for the kiddos!
Fun and educational place to spend half the day with your kids. Seriously worth the time and money but I would hold back one star for a less then optimal amount of staff on hand. Still great but could be a little better. :)
I love ScienceWorks. My daughter has a blast checking out all of the cool exhibits and experiments. Theyre pretty good for birthday parties, too
Great place to take kids. Highly recommended.
I would give Scienceworks 4.5+! The kids LOVE it and the exhibits are set up to allow parents to interact and have fun too. This is a place everyone needs to try at least once.
What a great place this is. Many, many hands on displays where you can experiance the effects of wind, sound, electricity, visual phenomena, and play areas that are just plain fun. Great place for kids and adults alike. You can spend hours here!
Amazing place! Have taken my little ones here many times. All kinds of fun activities and hands in learning opportunities, great way to for children to learn and have fun
I think this place was a waste of time and money. I will never take my kids here again. I pulled up and honestly the place looked abandoned, weeds and trash everywhere! I saw people coming in and out so I figured it would be better inside. I was completely wrong! To me the place was absolutely filthy! Lots of dust and things not wiped down on a daily basis. Seat cushions where parents are supposed to be able and sit to watch their kids was nothing but stains! The one area by the pirate ship had ants crawling all over the table. Disgusted!
Super fun and lots to do and LEARN! Great experience for me, Im 35, and my son, hes 12. I do wish there was a place close by to get food, like good food, not snacks, but thats not Science Works fault. All in all good family fun!
Was a lot of fun. Kids loved it
The surroundings are not maintained. Some exhibits do not work. The inside looks like stalled work in progress. Unfortunately... I would not pay to see. My grandchildren loved it, ages 11, 9, and 6.
Great for kids and those adults (like me) who still want to pretend they are kids. My husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
This place is great to bring kids for hands on learning. You can easily spend a couple hours here and do all kinds of science activities. Prices are reasonable for the experience, staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.
Very cool hands-on stuff for kids. They had kids building little towns out of cardboard as a project when I was there. Nice exhibits that are entertaining and intrigue children.
My kids had a blast there. So much stuff to do and all hands on. The kids can learn and play at the same time. Going to take them back for sure.
** First Sunday of the month is $3 admission. **Me and the boys always have a great time here. So many cool hands-on things to do.
The best place to take your kids on a rainy day, host to community activities, and fantastic summer camp programs!
A little dated, but a cool place to take the family for a few hours! Lots of interesting hands on science displays to play with.
This is a great place for kids of all ages! Smaller than OMSI but, sometimes smaller IS better! I could spend hours in the bubble room! :-)
Cool place to take kids.
I LOVE this place. The kids have always had fun here every time we go.
Classic ashland. Wonderful and imaginative. I only wish they would have an exhibit about vaccinations but that part of science is too controversial for this region :)
I was there today and was disappointed. Many exhibits not working and or not maintained. The dinosaur exhibits were not what I had expected from all the advertisement. I felt miss lead.
Great place to get rid of kid energy. Good for adults too!
Had a fantastic time prices for cheap to get in loved all the experience all the experiments for very interesting and fun good for adults and children
Its a great place to take your kids theyll have a great time.
The kids love it here. The bubble room of course is the best.
This is a great place for kids of all ages to have fun and learn. Especially great if the weather outside is not good but you need to get out of the house.
Its a nice place to visit, a lot of hands on exhibits. Needs some new content, hasnt changed in awhile.
This was a great learning experience with fun exhibits. My kids wanted to stay longer!
Love the changes they have made. The bubble room is the best!
Fun place. Rotation of displays is kinda slow, and some are broken now and again, but my kids love it!
Great for young kids. My 4 year old cant get enough.
So kid friendly and always adding to their exhibits. My kids never want to leave and learn so much!
Membership makes for a great visit. We head down from Medford regularly and check out whats new and visit old favorites!
Went here for a kids birthday party and almost had as much fun as the kids.
My five year old son had a blast!
Take your kids! Youll all have a great time.
Great kids museum. Worth thr price.

Fun enjoyable. A great place to take the family.
Want to have fun AND learn? This is the place for you!
We loved the hands on learning! :0)
$2.00 admission first Sunday of the month! Someone flooded the toilet last week, this was my 5 year olds favorite exhibit!
Fun place but needs some major renovation
My kids love all the hands on fun.
Had a great time here with my 3-year-old, very hands-on and not too crowded.
Amazing camp programs and great fun for the family!
Very kid friendly, not bad prices!
So much fun and greatly educational!
