Stopped in here on our honeymoon. It brought back so many memories. Awesome place. I just wish they had some actual food. I would have loved to have had a cheese burger and fries with my beer. I had a lot of fun playing with all the different games and all the pinball machines. Its tight quarters and there were a suprising number of unsupervised minors running around. It was a lot more enjoyable after a lot of the kids cleared out. My only real issue was finding parking. I didnt see anything on the website for suggested parking, and not being from the area I had some trouble finding a spot.

Pins are in great shape. They have some newer Sterns and some older games like Twilight, Adams and Elvira that played so well and have been taken care of! The pinball tech is good at what he does. Nice lady working the door. The bartender was great. Good cider and beer on tap. They have other arcade games as well, but I was there for the pinball. They are taking Covid precautions so I felt safe playing there, taking temps at door, hand sanitizer available, plastic sheets between games, and masks required when not stationary. I updated the pinball map so games should be all up to date. Check this place out! $10 cover charge and all games on freeplay, totally worth it if you wanna play for a bit.

This afternoon we visited for the first time since Retrocade reopened from COVID19 closures. I was very impressed with the safety measures they have implemented. None of the protocols affected the fun value at all! In fact, I enjoyed my gaming a lot more with the partitions between games. We had a great time and definitely recommend the Retrocade.

This place was great! All you can play games for $10! Wish I had one closer to home! They had all the old school and some of the new school. They had a wide variety of beverages and they are fairly priced. I will definitely visit this place every time Im in Asheville!

I really enjoyed my visit. If youre a pinball nerd like me, and youre looking for some late night pin action, this is the place to go. They have some great tables in good repair, maybe 10 or so. They also have some other cool stuff like a pool table, ski ball and air hockey along with a plethora of standup arcade machines. The addition of a great bar is also a real plus.

A great place to go with friends. Its very reasonably priced: $10 for all day gaming fun. They have pinball machines, Pacman, and console games. They dont have ping pong, table shuffleboard or those types of games. Fun environment and atmosphere.

For only $10 you can play as many games as you want for that day. You can even leave and return without having to pay because you have a wristband.

Brought my 2 kids here while visiting Asheville for thanksgiving week. 10/person for unlimited games. They have a great selection of pinball on the main level along with the classic arcade games. Think of galaga centipede etc. Also on the main level they have modern console games (Xbox PS4) so you can play on a big screen at the bar. The lower level has the shoot em up games, pool, air hockey. Also the group driving games are down there. Each level has bathrooms. They serve beer and have a great selection of local brews. Sodas are serves in 20 oz bottles for 2 and beers re mostly $4-5 per pint. All in all a great time.

Me and my family absolutely love this place. It has console games great pinball games pull Skee-Ball air hockey and really fun bring you back to your old days arcade . I really cant say enough about it you get to drink you get to play games they have tournaments. Just a really fun place to bring your family.

Such a fun place. $10 at the door and you can play unlimited arcade games. I gave a 4 star instead of 5 because some of the games no one could figure out how to start or they were broken.

This place is ok they have a good selection of beer. The unlimited game play isnt to bad I mean youll get your moneys worth playing unlimited pinball. Most of the games work fairly but they need a little updating or servicing with the air hockey

This place was pretty fun. One price, play all you want. Good selection of beers. Some of the games were either out of order, or had poorly working screens or controls.

Amazing deal and fantastic selection of games! My only complaint is that Turtles in Time and X-Men both had broken controls for some of the players and there were no signs saying theyre broken which makes it seem like employees dont check often. They also have regular tournaments and even a Killer Queen league. $10 for all you can play is unbeatable and places like this are hard to come by.

One of the better barcades that Ive been to. You pay a flat fee and get access to all of the games. Theres an upstairs, and a downstairs with a lot of variety. Several games are multi-player which was perfect for the group of 4 we had. All of the workers were very nice and helpful. You can also order drinks at the bar (beer, wine and liquor - pay as you go).

I have been here a few times and I will say that it is SOOO worth it to come after dark! The drinks are really nice and their selection of games are a pretty good size!Definitely come during the weekend if you wanna have a blast

I saw someone posted about people hogging the good games and I guess I can understand their position because many people don’t like confrontation.. but saying you have dibs next round usually does the trick. Always loved Retrocade. Has arcade games, pool, skeeball, air hockey, console games...everything. They also have a great drink selection. Ive been 3 or 4 times and its always been a blast.

It seems as though no matter what day Ive been here its crowded, but other than that it is pretty fun. Inexpensive and enjoyable with old and new games. My 12 year old brothers favorite place in Asheville.

Arcade is great, service is what I expect from disinterested teenagers. Doorman and bartenders were clearly more interested in their phones and attitudes to care about customers

10 bucks to play as long as you want is super cheap. Mostly classic games like Mortal Kombat and Tron. The bar area has systems where you can play Battlefield or Fortnite. The beer is cheap. A good time all around.

10$ wrist bands all you can play. Prices are decent for drinks. Snack selection lacklustre but what they have seems appetising. Did not get a chance to eat the food. Small selection of arcade games. Biggest gripe is that people will hog the good games when theres not a lot of people around.

This place is fun to visit but it’s really hard to find parking, we had to loop around for 15 minutes and finally found a place. They server alcohol and you have to pay $10 for a game wrist band that allows you to play as many games as you want. This wasn’t ideal for my wife and I who o my wanted to play a few games together. Many of the games didn’t work or were broken.

This is paradise for the arcade enthusiast. $10 to play all day so its totally worth it. Tons of cabinets with classic games, many different fighters, several unique pinball machines and even some modern games on consoles. Great atmosphere and vibe. Definitely will come back.

Very fun. Just ten bucks to get in and unlimited games after that. Good selection of retro arcade games, but the place gets a bit crowded in the evening. There are modern game consoles for the smaller kids who dont like retro games. Overall, a very fun experience.

Its cheap, you can play all night and theres beer. It makes me feel like my mom gave me a bucket of quarters and set me free in the arcade. Pretty sure theres a 2 year long waiting list on that pool table.

Only suggestion Id have is to try and figure out more chairs/tables for parents who arent playing just paying for kids to play. Also, there is zero wifi/cell phone reception in their downstairs so just a heads up.

So much fun! Friendly staff, awesome games, and they even allow you to bring in outside food. You can leave and come back to play after having a bite at a nearby coffee shop / sandwich shop. The whole family enjoys this place. Lots of space and plenty of gaming options, both retro and new age.

I absolutely love coming here, so much to do, games are well-maintained, the place is clean, and has a great drink selection! The staff is fun, kind and helpful. I left my phone there last week and couldn’t pick it up til the next day. When I came back to get it, it was fully charged- someone had plugged it in for me overnight! That’s the kind of thoughtful service I’ve always experienced here and I hope it’s recognized and rewarded. Go to Retrocade!

This place is pretty sweet! I would like to see the out of service machines fixed a little faster but otherwise you can expect to have a fun night here! I wish they would increase their beer selection though.

Terrible place they told us that they were at max capacity and to wait. So we went and waited right outside the while some lady and her 2 kids walked up got bracelets and walked in. Yeah I rather not give my money to a place like that its to hard of earned.

The games are kept in relatively good order all things considered. There being alcohol involved with games I can only imagine the upkeep.Finally, the staff are great. Very nice and lively, always willing to answer questions. For $10 to play any game you want and relatively well priced alcohol its a definite a main stay among the awesome selection that Asheville has to offer for drinks and fun.

This was one of my fiance and Is first dates! We had a blast! The only reason Im not giving them 5 stars, is because one of the girls they have working for them is so rude!! (If you are unable to be patient around a bunch of kids, you probably shouldnt be working at an arcade, just sayin!)

Really enjoyed playing all the pinball machine games!!! Lots of other games to choose from as well! I liked the fact that you can leave and come back and continue playing. We played a few hours, went to eat, and came back for round two!

This place has a game for everyone. My favorite was Killer Queen. Great 10 player game with Joust mechanics. Just playing this was actually worth the $10 admission. Good beer selection and friendly staff. I love this place.

The tall lanky girl with the colored hair always has a attitude every time I go here. Literally wouldnt let us play rockband because everyone else would want to play like what do you expect from a video game bar. Get that out of your menu or leave a note in there next time. However the fella that was cleaning last night was rad. Stay cool.

This was our 1st time going & we LOVED IT! 2 floors of games and I can see how someone can stay all day. The pinball & retro arcade games were music to my ears! There was 2 pinball machines & 1 ball from the ice ball game were broken (which devastated me cause those were my favorites ) but other than that we had a blast. The basement tends to get stuffy & hot at some points especially when theres a lot of people cause we were sweating so we just stayed upstairs.

I did not expect to have as much fun as I did. I was pretty against checking it out at first bc of the steep $10 entry price but it ended up being well worth it. Cant wait to go back next time Im in town.

An awesome place! Not ideal if you just plan to drink as seating is limited and the selection isnt huge, but it is an amazing place to go and hang out with some friends and meet bee people. Good selection of games and fair prices.

This was a real fun place in downtown Asheville. Main floor and basement games available. Pay one price and play all the old arcade and pinball games you want. Great for fun with friends and familes. Drinks available for purchase. (Didnt take time to notice if there were snacks) Had a great time there revisiting my arcade youth without having to have a pocket full of quarters. Could easily spend an afternoon here. If a break is desired, outdoor spaces are available.

So my 9 year old asked to have his birthday party here. I didnt mind but am glad that we went. Ultra friendly staff, fun games, nice atmosphere, everything I want in a hangout. Cant wait to come back for date night with my sweetheart
