There is an awesome skating community here. Many awesome older skaters go out of their way to put the little ones on the right path.

Fantastic place! Im a newbie at skateboarding but everyone here was either super helpful or just minded their own business. They all had great attitudes and were mindful of their space. The park itself is pretty well maintained and has a lot to offer.

More transition than street, but it can be pretty fun. During a nice day it can be easily crowded, so I will usually go early morning or later at night.

Nice place to skate, bmx, roller skate, or scooter. Thank you Food Lion skatepark for keeping us happy and fit.

Sweet park fun and good times great for kids but bring water because it gets hot

If youre more of a very skater or even looking to learn this is the place! Ive seen bikers here, rollerblades, scooters, but mostly skateboards. Different sections with a little bowl up top, quarter pipes, half pipes in the middle, and the big bowl at the bottom. Lots of good vibes and friendly people here!

It may be a little rough around the edges, but everyone gives each other space when they can, even when it is crowded. My reason for three stars is, its not exactly my sort of thing. Came here with a friend awhile back and brought our mountain bikes. It was ok, but we realised that without BMX bikes we were limited in what we could do on the course, plus this was my first time visiting a skate park. Overall it was interesting to check this place out, but not very practical for mountain bikes, which are more suited for Carrier Park, and of course the mountains.

Don’t take kids here. It’s a great park with very nice transitions, but if weed isn’t your thing, then neither is this park. Sketchy at best.

If you like to rip a board off of a half pipe into a 50/50 grind, then hell yes.

This is an awesome skatepark, but bums and scummy people overrun the park. Go early, and leave when crowds get big. Lock your vehicle and dont leave stuff laying around. Be ready for people to beg for money

This is my favorite skatepark ive ever been to, mostly because its my local park and i havent been to many others. could use a better street section since theres not a lot of good street spots in avl but this place will always be a home for me

Transitions are huge, more of a bmx Park (lots of bmx riders here today) the peanut bowl at the top is super fun to cruise around though. Also lots of trash and homeless lurking.

Lovely park, I love when its mostly quarter pipes, even though its kinda gnarly. Lol better know how to roll into coping with this one

Me and my friends will usually go here to do stuff on my BMX. It is alot of fun with 4 main bowls, usually at least one of the bowls is always open but sometimes it is more crowded. Alot of fun for a weekday activity.

Way cleaner than the other park in town

This park is still one of my go to parks in this area. I like they have something for everyone.

From beginner to pro this park has something you will enjoy.

Rough area with punk kids hanging out smoking weed. Was looking for a place my kids could skate and I thought since Food Lion had there name on it, it would be ok. Its dirty sketchy and a little unsafe as there is no good way to get from area to area unless you are a pro at skating. needs better access to each area and monitored to keep riff raff out.
