I had the loveliest time marbling with Pam here in Asheville! It was such a meditative, fun experience. She made me (a total beginner) feel so at ease and I walked away with a scarf that I love! The studio is conveniently located in the South Slope area so you can grab a bite to eat or tasty beverage afterwards and enjoy a stroll around downtown. Highly recommend! This is a great experience for small, private groups (mother/daughter getaway, girls weekend, etc).Re: Covid...Pam has obviously put a lot of thought into her policies to keep her guests as safe as possible. Her space is large enough to manage social distancing, we all wore masks the entire time, and each participant had our own table with separate equipment. If youre uneasy about sharing space during a public class, you can book a private class for parties as small as one! Reach out to the owner...shes so easy and pleasant to work with.

Majik Studios was just that - Magic. The entire experience was wonderful. Pam was an excellent teacher and I came away with alot of good information. And, it was fun! :-)

I had an absolutely fantastic experience today at Majik Studio207 on Cox Avenue in Asheville. I took a marbling class with Pam Granger Gale, and it was great. I had never marbled before, and I left with four beautiful seat covers for my kitchen chairs. Pam inspired me to be creative in my use of color and creating texture. I learned something new, had great fun and got to know someone who is genuinely a born teacher who loves art. Thank you, Pam. My new seat covers are going to be amazing. Grab a class you won’t be disappointed.

I ended up having 1 on 1 instruction with Pam as we played with paint to help me eventually create marbled silk scarves. I had a blast chatting with Pam as she patiently taught me the history of marbling and various techniques. I had an idea for an intricate design. Pam ensured I had my design on paper first, no cutting corners, before we committed the design to silk. Its a calming atmosphere for even the most perfectionistic art-phobic overachievers like myself. My scarves are stunning and I even got to take home the practice marbled papers! I would highly recommend Pam and Majik Studios 207 for her marbling or other classes. You wont regret it. Truly a highlight on my trip to Asheville. You can even purchase your own home marbling kit, if you desire.

We had a GREAT time at Pams intro to marbling class! Her space is peaceful and can accommodate a group or a small class like ours which was just my mom and I. Pam was all set up and ready for us when we arrived and after an introduction, showed us many different marbling techniques. Then it was our turn to make some fun patterns on paper culminating in a final project - marbling a silk scarf! Super fun time, totally approachable medium and class. Cant recommend it enough.

I recently took a class with Pam and it was absolutely incredible! Not only did I learn an awesome new art medium but I met and worked with an amazing artist and teacher. Pams artistic abilities blew me away and then on top of that her kindness, excitement for the art form and overall personality made this a beyond exceptional afternoon. As soon as I entered I knew I was in for a great experience but minutes later I was already learning marble dying through hands on experience and that continued for a full 2 hours that I was there! I could not be more thrilled that I was able to take part in this experience. Book for yourself immediately and get to Majik Studios for the same awesome experience!

One of four ladies had a super fun time working with Pam Grainger in her scarf marbling class. SO much fun and what beautiful scarves we all made—learned at lot. Never thought I’d do it and now I want to come back and try it again!
