This place is a must visit in Clarendon, service is outstanding. If you are in mood for something spicy order Korean chicken, its delectable. Just be sure to make a rez, this place gets busy on Friday and weekends.

Where was this place when I lived here?! Stopped in to get out of the rain and was treated to a wonderful meal and friendly service. An incredibly nice space as well. Will definitely be coming back on future travels to Arlington.

Live music, awesome people and drinks

This place doesn’t know business. I was a party of 2, treated like trash. From a business perspective ok party of 2 let’s just enforce a minimum. But no, these people said wait in line like everyone else then after that wait another 45 min on the patio because you’re 2 not 4. Ok that’s fine we’ll spend $100 minimum but nope, never got a chance. Put a business mind behind this business instead of a high school dropout. Think bigger. Treat everyone with respect.

Everything Chef Patrick makes is delicious! I have tried half the menu so far including the Harissa Half Chicken, the Vietnamese Crispy Salmon, and the Korean Chicken Bowl and was blown away. There is a wide variety of dishes for everyone to share. The staff was wonderful, and it is a great atmosphere.

INCREDIBLE food and atmosphere. So many delicious vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Ive eaten here several days and never had to repeat a meal (unless I wanted to!).

Remarkable food and fantastic people. It takes a lot to open and then immediately adapt and then thrive in the face of these extraordinary times. The lo mein is easily the best Ive ever had. The juicy and flavorful harissa half chicken will last you for lunch and dinner for an easy price. Havent tried anything that isnt excellent here -- and its all great for the price. The owner is a superb chef and he cooks what he loves. Renegade is killing it.

Ordered from The Renegade for the first time today, so very delicious! My husband is Filipino and very critical of other peoples lumpia lol we absolutely loved it! Im hooked. Cant wait to be able to go there after things open back up(6/17/20) Update! Finally came in! Anybody leaving less than 5 stars is insane! The food is delicious, the pricing is more than fair, and the vibe... well I dont feel like Im in Clarendon (a REALLY good thing). Were now huge fans and look forward to many visits!

Walked by 15 times before going in. I regret walking by so many times! This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. Shawn (bartender) was amazing. Great knowledge of the menu and great service. The prices were great and the food -simply- AMAZING. OVERALL just really impressed with this place!

Wow. What an awesome place. So accommodating. Absolutely amazing food. They have live bands and exquisite prices. No complaints. Bartenders are absolutely outstanding.

The food items were very small. The food was all garnish, barely any edible food. Bartender was preoccupied with her phone and friends. There was also a random child running behind the bar, which is illegal. This kid was all over the place, behind the bar, sitting at bar seats, on the stage, etc. According to VA law, you have to be 21 and up to be behind the bar. I dont come to a bar to be around children. I could have gone to Chuck E Cheese if I wanted that. (I have photo evidence if needed.)

Nice atmosphere, great music, the food we had was good and our waitress was super nice! We sat outside due to covid19, and it was a beautiful, sunny late afternoon, so there was also a nice breeze while we drank cold beer and cocktails.

While the staff was incredibly attentive (even meeting the owner Patrick) the food was outstanding!! Please make a point of dining here when you can....too good to miss.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere in The Renegade was warm and welcoming. Team members were clearly excited about both the food and the music program. The friend I was meeting for happy hour had been there before and suggested the red curried collard greens. While all the food we tried, Korean chicken, lamb, carrots and the greens, were excellent, the collard greens were the standout dish. I likely wouldn’t have ordered them based on the name but will be making the trip back to Clarendon for those alone. As my friend said, these are about the best $5 you can spend on food in DC. Bottom line—go for the Red Curried Collard Greens and stay for the wonderful team, atmosphere and live music.

Its different. Find out for yourself! No Burgers/Fries or anything usual around Clarendon... EXCEPT THE BEER! But seriously try their food! You wont regret it!

Didnt even know the place existed until a random walk by and OPEN sign. Warm reception from the proprietor and employee. Very nice setup for coffee, live music, and bar. Good pistachio muffin and other baked goods. Look forward to live music performances. Try it. Right across the street from Peets.

This place is really worth trying! I went for happy hour with a friend. Their drink prices are a good deal - $6 wines and beer discounts. Our bartender was friendly and provided great service. The chef and owner can by to talk to us and recommend some food options. We had the cumin cauliflower, the yucca fries, collard greens and falafel. Everything was flavorful and extremely reasonably priced, especially compared to other Clarendon spots.You can tell a lot of thought and love went into the menu.I will definitely be a returning customer!

My boyfriend & I stopped in on a Saturday to have a beer and watch a basketball game. Todd was super friendly, and the food and drinks were awesome. Fresh guac is killer. Actually all of the food is killer. We had been meaning to try this place since it opened and are now mad at ourselves for not coming in sooner. Must try!!

Wow. What an amazing place. Only had some bar food but it was excellent. I use to come here when it was Mr Days and they did a fantastic job of cleaning it up and renovating. They have bands and djs which is a nice mix of music. We will be back soon.

Cool nightlife spot with live music often and a good selection of drinks. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. By day they are a coffee shop and restaurant, but I have not been there personally.

Excellent venue for live music and entertainment. The staff is very friendly and the food is some of the best in Arlington, especially at the price point. Cant wait to see what else they add to their lineup.

Renegade has the best food in Clarendon, friendly staff, and amazing happy hour deals! I love that they have a variety of delicious, reasonably priced small plates, including some of my favorites: crispy Korean chicken, Vietnamese lemongrass beef, and lumpia.

I never review anywhere. The food here was shockingly good, reasonably priced, and there’s a very solid beer selection. I was very skeptical when I walked in and it was totally empty, I am now going to be a frequent customer.

I like that you all are focusing on live music, and I think youll do well being known as the destination for it in Clarendon! Unsolicited opinion: an open mic night would be awesome!

Good small plates for groups. Gets expensive if youre by yourself to try multiple things, but a great selection of small bites for lunch/dinner/happy hour. Cool atmosphere, and they have coffee if you need a pick me up :)
