We payed for preferred seating which is an additional charge. Unfortunately the seating was not preferred in any way form or fashion. We were place at a table in a dark corner. There are partitions up that have wood and the way it is situated, it does not provide a clear view of the comedian. So we are looking at the side of the comedian. We asked for a manager and of course, they never came over. To top it off, the server didn’t even take our order after she’d come over more than once. Highly disappointed.
Awesome place, really nice and clean. It is a little pricey but they do tell you some what up front. Had a great time .
I love this place. They always have good comics, good food and good drinks. Who wouldnt wanna enjoy that?
Very intimate setting and we were able to socially distance from others! Guy Torry had my ribs and stomach sore for two days from laughter, they had to tell him time was up! He absolutely killed that show!
We loved the show, the drinks were legit, and Ebony took great care of us! We knew going in we had to purchase two items so no big deal. Perfect date night!!
It was a blast, I was comfortable and I laughed until I cried. Food was delicious. The drinks was week, but all in all I would give it an 9.5.
Tommy Davidson on 10/31/20 it was a great experience, I laughed so hard he did a great impression of Barrack obama, the guy hosting and others were Great!
Had a great time here last week. Excellent!
I’ve been to many shows and it’s always a great time. 2 item minimum for each person is cool I guess
They make you buy two food items. The least expensive thing on the menu is $4, 16 oz. bottle of water.
Great food and service! The burgers are a sleeper! Loved Ebony, our server!
Super funny comedians and it made me feel good that they had so many provisions for COVID
Social distancing at its finest. Had a ball, laughed until I cried. Red Grant is a must see
Nice, chill, laid back type of vibe during covid.
Always have a great time there its even better now that it is less crowded
Place to always enjoy yourself and have a good time and laugh.
Really enjoyed Tony Roberts but they are too high on food and drinks
Had a blast! Went to see Rickey Smiley for his weekly (Tuesday) karaoke show. It was fun to listen to all the participants, and Rickey was an awesome host! Not only did he entertain us in between acts with his usual antics and comed, but he was also a gracious host and interact with seemed like most of us.I sincerely wish him the best, and look forward to attending his show again!
The comedians were ok at best. The food and drinks are WAY overpriced. Wings were $14 and came with 8 very small bony peices and one very small cocktail was $12 ( thats on the low end). Gratuity is auto included on your check.
The drinks and food was great. And Isaiah Kelly & Levell Crawford is a damn fool of
Awesome. Packed house, liked the beariers to keep social distancing. Gary Owens was hilarious.
This is a great venue to see some local, internationally known or upcoming comedy acts. Be aware! There is a significant surcharge in purchasing the tickets either online or in person at the booth. And the booth hours Are quite conflicting. I went there twice when they were supposed to be open, but nobody was in the booth And the lights were out. The mixed drinks are substandard With cheap alcohol. I suggest You toke or drink before. Or just order beer or wine. Got a good laugh on and Im still glad we at least have comedy here in the Arlington area.
Was there for Jess Hilarious and her brother Desi Alexander. Very funny! The place is a bit small to fit so many people but overall we were able to have a great view of the stage, even though we sat closer to the back. The food was a bit overpriced and you have to order two items on the menu but nice staff and enjoyable time overall.
Went to see Eddie Griffin and he was hilarious! He let a guy from the area, Sticks, perform before he did thing. He also had a headliner who was funny as hell! And it just went up from there. Eddie was real cool and laid back! Ill be looking forward to seeing him again! I had to leave but my man ended up getting a picture with him. As far as the improv, I didnt like the 2 drink minimum which he ended up paying $63 for 4 drinks which included gratuity that was charged as well. They should just charge what they need on the price of the ticket because we were already lit and didnt need the drinks. The seating is really tight so expect to share a table with other people unless you book with a group. Like personal space with unknown people is a uncomfortable but eventually the drinks kick in and it goes unnoticed.
The show was really good, the host, the first act, and the main comedian were funny and personal. The venue was intimate but a little crowded at the tables. The two waitresses we experienced were on the rude side and only stopped by once at the beginning of the show and then again to deliver our receipt.I bought my tickets online and was never emailed an e-ticket. Also, I was never informed that it would be REQUIRED to purchase a beverage/meal (actually, 4 things had to be purchased - 2/guest) at the improv event. I thought that it was going to be more casual and that I could enjoy an evening of comedy after a dinner out. That was NOT the case. The waitress rudely told us this and then left. She returned at the end of the show with a receipt for $18 (a fee for not purchasing anything - $4/item that wasn’t bought AND $2.25 in taxes FOR NOT BUYING ANYTHING!). This seemed absurd to me, and honestly ruined what was supposed to be a good evening out.If it wasn’t for the piss poor passage of information in regards to the food/beverages (an email would’ve been nice, or something not in fine print) and the rude waitresses, this comedy event would have been great.
Fun show in an intimate setting. We enjoyed our comedian and the wait staff was attentive. The menu selection was not that great. We needed something in our bellies so we ordered the spinach artichoke dip...it was overpriced and served in a really small bowl. The drinks were ok, but not worth what we paid when we got the bill. We will be back for the comedy...not the food and drinks.
First time there. We had a ball
This was our first time at the Arlington Improv. My husband and I went to see a guy named Robert Powell. He was a surprisingly good Comedian. Unbeknownst to us, there were 3 other Comedians to take the stage before Robert Powells feature presentation, and all 3 of them were hilarious! The show started at 7, but we arrived at 5 in order to get good seats & to order drinks & food. The customer service was very well. **Sidenote** Be prepared to have an 18% gratuity automatically added to your tab, and theres a minimum purchase requirement of 2 items per guests.
It was awesome!! Everything was great
Great experience! Fun!
I’m very disappointed in this attempt to purchase. I was sent an email on Friday 6/19/20 with a promo code to use for an event this Saturday 6/27/20 and the code does not work. I’ve been attempting to enter the code for three days and it continued to say that the code was invalid so I just called them and the lady wasn’t interested in helping me at all. She said she needed to escalate the issue Bc there probably wasn’t a code and that I’d be contacted in 1-3 bd but never asked for my name or contact information. Wow...poor customer service!
Great time..good service!
If a show is all in Spanish you would think it would say somewhere. Half the people in the room didnt speak Spanish.
I enjoyed the show. The performer is just about leveled with the audience which makes for a more personal experience. It was awesome. The food was good and the drinks too. There was a nice mixed race crowd which was nice. Will definitely return for an outing.
The seating was set too close together and made it uncomfortable to excuse yourself from the table. Everything else was good. Alittle pricey.
Gary Owen was hilarious... Food was good.
My first comedy club experience... It was great. Me and my family really enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff was great, we didnt have any problems getting seated. It was a really good night. I have no complaints at all!!!!
I saw Benji Brown. He was hilarious. I will definitely see him again when he comes back. On the down side :The liquor prices are high. Especially if you take advantage of the extra potent opportunity. 2 drinks from the menu ( I cant remember the name) with an order of cheese sticks was $56.00! The drinks werent extra potent either. I gave 5 stars because the show was great.
Crowded, but the process of getting inside for a big event was easy and seamless. Food and drink orders during the show came out quick and accurate. Overall recommend!
Great atmosphere and not a bad seat in the house! 2 item minimum includes food, soda, desert, and drinks. It is not clear if the 18% service charge on food and drinks is for the wait staff or just another additional charge. Clean and updated!
I just left this venue. They are racist. They have a 2 drink min. per person along with 2 types of taxes and a 18% service charge. On top of the gratuity also. My daughter and I were informed we are required to purchase a min. of 4 items total. Another couple at a table next to us were told the same also. We all are black. So we all purchased more items. 2 white ladies at my table only purchased 2 waters and a brownie. I asked both ladies if the waiter told them to purchase more and both ladies said No, he did not tell us that! Both even showed me a copy of their bill. I asked the waiter about it then he made up a big lie to say basically the ladies were lying. The food was horrible and over priced. I paid and left to NEVER return again. Too much racism these days. So sad!!!
The food and drinks were excellent. Servers are quick and efficient. Only issue was the 25 dollar cash charge at the end of the evening just to take a picture with the comedians. I found it odd that TV comedians need cash upfront and no one could use a Square in order to process credit transactions. Less than 10 people got a picture. No one carries cash anymore. Then again, as Ocean said I got paid already.
I have been to this location numerous times and will continue. I have seen several great comedians both male and female. All have been awesome. So funny, even the opening acts who are unknown presently. This great entertainment. A way to definitely get your laugh on. Laughter is good for the soul and here you will definitely get your soul fed in more than one way. The food is also good here along with the drinks. I have been very impressed and pleased with this venue and recommend all to check out the shows. The price is also right to see famous comedians right here in our own backyard so to speak. You simply cant beat it.
Over priced drinks. The mixed drinks are horrific. They add at least 3 different charges to your bill and theres a 2 item minimum. Id suggest that you purchase your mixed drinks at a location thats close by then once you are there at the Improv buy 2 bottles of water. The temperature inside was colder then the outside. Everyone had on coats just to stay warm. Not a place that I will be visiting frequently if at all.
Great place. Small and good to take a spouse or a date. They bring in good talent.
Comedy that night was ok. The food is very cheap quality and I didnt like the fact that not only do you have to pay for the event but then you are required to make a 4 item purchase. Where they do that at???? Oh...... here.
Enjoyed the comedian! Like the grown people atmosphere. The Experience can be pricey due to upcharge on food and drinks. Food and drinks arent really worth it for what you get and the fact you already paid to see the comedian. They either need to lower the price of the shows or the food. Or just let people decide to eat or drink, instead of 2 item minimum. But overall, a great place to enjoy entertainment and laughter.
I always have good time here. The comedy acts are first rate. The wings are good too
Classy and Historic. 2 item minimum is not to Expensive. I definitely will be returning.
The drive is far for me but we always, always have a good time. Laughter is good for the soul!
Great place for date night or guys night out. Reasonably priced tickets, decent food and drinks.
I had a great experience in the past but this past weekend my friend and I visited and it was very unorganized. We had to wait outside in an extremely long line for nearly an hour (after the show was supposed to start mind you). The comedian was great but the service were mediocre and wait to get inside was way to long.
The Comedians were AMAZING!! FAISION LOVE WAS SO FUNNY!! However the server or the kitchen WAS NOT UP ON THEIR GAME... They were cool.. You should go.
I honestly want to comment anything negative however, the server and comedians did great!
Gary Owens was awesome and so were my seats!!!
I enjoyed my night out to see Comedian Lavelle Crawford performance at Arlington Improv. He was Hilarious!! I cant wait to see him again.
Had a good time! The chairs were not very comfortable considering the amount of time we sat, and the views were not so great from our table. The guy in front of us literally took space at two tables and kept moving around obstructing our views.
KIND A HIGH PRICES BUT GOOD SERVICE.
The show was amazing! The only thing I wish was different was the loudness of the speakers. There was maybe 50 people in the room, and my ears were ringing a little by the end of the show. Other than that the line up was hilarious, and we enjoyed ourselves.
Visited the Improv for the first time and purchased VIP/Front tickets for this weekend. Arrived 45 minutes early and EVERY table received service. Not one single person asked did we want a drink or food. We even asked someone who is servicing our table and he said he would find someone and it never happened. Both tables beside us received service. Enjoyed the show (Corey Holcomb), but will not return due to the lack of service or acknowledgement that no one waited on our table.
I went when John Henton (Overton) performed. The comedians were funny, drinks were awesome, staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I will most definately go again.
Very nice and clean and food was great.
Tommy Davidson was hilarious!!!He was also very personable. While he was getting introduced he came through the crowd where the patrons enter and shook a few hands. When the show was over he shook hands and allowed people to take pictures with him in the bar area of the comedy club.I would have Rated the place lower if he didnt do so well. He made it worth the money! The two comedian who opened was decent and the one right before Tommy Davidson was good. The space is too crowded when watching the show. The lady that sat behind my wife kept bumping her even after we moved our table some. That small space could cause conflicts. The food menu is decent and I understand keeping it simple but it could improve. We use to be regulars at a comedy spot in Chicopee Massachusetts and the food menu and space was much better. I have some examples but dont have tome to type them all.Ticket prices were good but automatic tip added to average service, we didnt like. They have the nerve to have a line in case you want to add another tip. Give me better attentiveness with our service.
Of all the comedy clubs I’ve been to in Austin and Dallas area, this one have the best layout. This is definitely my new favorite comedy venue!
Tony Baker came and showed out tonight. He is every bit worth seeing again
The talent is great but the venue sucks! They sit you right on top of each other, the line process to get in is ridiculous. They need to expand, they are always packed, it’s been this way for too long
Show was great (Kountry Wayne) but had to wait outside over an hour to be let into the venue. The tickets stated the doors would open at 9, but in actuality they didnt let anyone in until after 10. Had someone from the venue communicated that, I dont think as many people wouldve been flustered about having to wait that long.
Nice atmosphere plenty of parking. Went to see Bill Bellamy and he was hilarious will definitely be visiting again.
Had a good time seeing Joe Torry. Not really a bad seat because the place is small. Not sure how they assigned the tables. Had seats up front but bought regular seats. No complaints just curious.
Where do I start! Went To the Deon Cole comedy show so Sunday! The show was good and funny! Nothing on them guys but the improv itself was BAD. First the seating on Ticketmaster doesn’t match the seating at the improv. I bought two tickets next to the stage table B. Got two tickets b3 and b8 at the same table but get there they ended up being table numbers not seat number. Then people were already in my seats at both tables and the managers didn’t make the people get up. Moved me and my date to the back corner table. Next they make you buy two things off the menu without even telling you. Ordered one chicken finger meal and 2 waters. She brings 2 chicken fingers meals and 2 waters. And then tells me that’s what I order. Water is 3.50 a bottle and the price isn’t on the menu. It’s cheaper to get a glass of water. Overall the managers and waitresses didn’t care what happens just as long as they get paid. No offer to help fix the seating for what I got and didn’t try to fix the mistake in the food.
I definitely enjoyed Eddie Griffin! He was a must-see with me and my boyfriend. However I did not enjoy the crowded seating in there. My boyfriend said at the end of a table along with other people there. What people walked by constantly I think thats something they would have to do better as far as seating. My waiter was nice and my food was great my drinks were awesome
The food was not good at all. We ordered queso and chips with beef, 2 philly steak sandwiches with fries and cheeseburger w fries. The only thing we ate was cheeseburger. The rest was a waist of money. But I will say the drinks were yummy. The waiter was great and on time with everything. Just find a real cook that cares about his craft and what he put out. I really wanted my money back for food.
Lets be clear this review is strictly regarding the checkin process why is there several lines when the seats are assigned? U literally have to check in a line to be assigned your next line to be let in...really? the old system wasnt perfect but it was much better than this.Come on get it together
I love it! was my first time there, had a blast with my sister
3 stars for always having great comedians, but they pack you in the place like sardines, with no room to breathe and some of the servers are rude
Great time! Hadnt been there in awhile, but im glad we went back. Hodge Twins were great, service was promt, Audrey our waitress was amazing and the other servers in the area were extremely helpful.
Good food and staff. Can get expensive with item mins and service charges.
I had a blast! Didnt really like how the seating was. The staff was awesome!
Loni Love was their last night and she was hilarious and hones, she brought Micheal James and he was funny as well and the host Lamarr was great. The Arlington improv has been getting in some Awesome comics, Great job.
Its a great place, a typical Improv with lots of laughs and not much space to do it in.
Its bigger than Addison Improv. Great space. Great show.
