This is a gorgeous beach with quite the show at high tide. The waves crash into the rocks and is breathtaking. There is a beautiful lighthouse above that overlooks the area. Its a very calm beach with picturesque surroundings.

Its great to walk on this beach. Walk east towards the next beach and back and enjoy 2 miles of deep hard sand and a delightful burning workout. We actually park at the next beach and walk towards this one and back several times a week. Hasta Pronto!

Loved the views, and safe from sharks and other large fish because of the rocks. Beautiful!

Very nice beach great for the familyThe beach area is large has lots of room and a few spots where there is palm trees for some shade but they go quick get there early if you want shade.

This place is amazing. Its a beach with a natural pool. The beach is very clean and clear waters. A bit ruff but the pool like area the is created by having large rock blocking both sides of the ocean cause a gentle section of water where you can have fun with the strong waves. Its also very gorgeous when the waves crash into the rock and created a spray effect. Amazing place, with area to wash off after your finish. And best part its free.

What a beautiful place, the area was clean and well mantained. The water was really really beautiful. Clear blue water. GPS got us right to the place without any problem. No much traffic and good ride. Recommend this place without hesitating. If coming in summer, it may be a little more crowded.

This beach is one of the best Ive seen around here for swimming and family time. The waves are quite large but there is a perfect area to swim that is protected by rocks. It is all sand and very comfortable to swim around without banging on the rocks. The lighthouse and white sands make a great photo opportunity. Not a huge amount of parking but the walk is short when you do find a spot. There is a station to wash off at as well after you are done.

Great beach! Warm water and soft sand. A little windy when we were there but still nice! A nice little walk up towards the light house and a great view from up there!

A beautiful secret side beach that can easily be missed if you stop at the beach right before this, near the lighthouse. It has a natural wave pool with soft sand so you don’t need to worry about water shoes. Plenty of parking and a couple food trucks nearby for some beach snacks and drinks.

Loved it, free parking, you need to bring food (nothing to buy or eat there). Safe for little ones and eventhough its very windy its not cold. Beautiful for pictures!!!!

WOW! This place is the coolest. The rough waves splash over the rocks and turn this calm little pool into a wave pool every few minutes. Its so fun and perfect for families with smaller kids, or really anyone bc it is a fun and versatile beach. We went on a Sunday in May and it was a little busy, but not over crowded. We had a blast.

A small pond in the middle of two huge rocks. Clear and agitated waters. Beautiful sightseings. Bring all your needed items to be at the beach. Kind of a very local street gets you to the beach.

Ocean clean beach nice on the weekend lots of places to eat on the main road and ppl that sale fresh coconut water by the ocean.

Nice little beach protected from open ocean by natural reef. Keep an eye on little kids as current can take you sideways near sharp edges.Must take stroll to the rock side west to get great view. Must wear sturdy shoes as rock is very sharp! Weekend is busy.

Amazing beach. Not a famous one but should be! Note that if you leave your stuff under the shade of trees you wont be able to see it from the water. We were lucky because our Airbnb host provided a beach umbrella

This is a very nice beach. Very nice blue waters. Very accessible next to the Arecibo lighthouse... And safe too. Great family beach. I loved it very much.

This is a Puerto Rican gem. To make this a good trip, you should be prepared and equipped to make the best of it. So, here you go: swimming is awesome, even for kids 8+...it is like Mother Natures wave pool; be aware that it is ALWAYS windy here because it faces northeast. That being said, it is difficult to make a full day here unless you are used to the wind and blowing sand. Sunbathing is a miserable affair here, so dont come hoping to do so!Remembered to bring tennis shoes or deck shoes for hiking to the peak to the west...it is an awesome view and worth the trip here all by itself. Note: water shoes and flip-flops are NOT shoes...lol! The rock is very sharp and can cause serious injuries, but the right shoes will serve you well.All in all, this area is amazingly beautiful and worth the trip; just remember to bring your camera and know that the swimming is a blast but only for about an hour or two before the wind wears you out.There are always vendors tooling around offering ice cream, drinks, and sometimes fresh fruit.Enjoy!

This is a great and fairly safe small beach for kids. Bring the googles and snorkels to see the fishes by the rocks. Also bring chairs and umbrellas, there aren’t many shaded areas.

Definitely one of the best beaches I have visited on the island, the natural protected cove is a great place for wading, relaxing and is especially perfect for children. Its not very deep, has pristinely clear water and is shielded from the strong waves of the ocean. Watching the waves crash on the rocks is a breathtaking sight and a short climb on the rocks affords an incredible view. Bring sandals of some sort if you want to explore the rocks as they are extremely sharp and the nearest bathroom is a nice little walk from the water. Locals were all very friendly and helped when we got our van buried in the sand.

Awesome spot. The swimming area was protected by rock and reef so the waves were minimal. With waves crashing on the rock it was a great background for photos and just to watch while taking a dip. The parking is a bit shady. There was a pole with PILLOS (THIEVES) spray painted on it. But it was early and there were other cars so we were ok. There is no food or bathrooms here.
