A lot of information inside of the nature center for wildlife and habitats throughout Oklahoma. Some fossils and other oddities to look at as well. The tower has a steep incline to get up but it isnt a long walk. Inside of the tower going up to the top they have information on how the lake and buildings around it were made. Good visit for kids or if you just like getting out.

The tower has several beautiful outlooks over the lake. The nature exhibit gives you very interesting information on the area as well as the past of the Lake Murray area. They have a meteorite and the Lake lodge has a carnivorous dinosaur skull. The paths leading to the outlooks are pet friendly, and our dogs enjoyed the walk. It is not a long hike.

We were able to go up 4 flights of stairs to the observation deck on the tower. Beautiful view surrounded by greenish-blue water. Also, interesting exhibits about the Civilian Conservation Corps that built Tucker Tower in the 30s.

Since I was recently there, I share knowledge. It is on the east side of the lake. You can access it by boat or vehicle. The nature center is in Lake Murray State Park next to Tucker Tower. Before the lake was created, Governor Tucker served in Oklahoma. He donated the land where Tucker Tower now is. I have a picture of the tower. Unless you have special permission, the tower is not able to be climbed. The nature center talks about more than just the tower.

It was more than I expected. The view was breathtaking. Husband had back surgery a few months ago and gave his legs too much exercise, but slept well that night.
