The old movies were great except, when me and my dad walked in there was total of 22 people in the building and no one in sight and the ladies told us to put mask on or the police would be there so they cant do that it isnt a law which is why I give a 3 star.
Definitely try dream lounger experience. These new seats have to be booked though, unlike rest of the screens. Best day to watch movies here are on Tuesdays. Can watch a movie for 5$ along with free popcorn with Marcus rewards card. If you have got a small kid and cant take them to the movies, you can get them engaged in funset boulevard which is literally attached to this theatre..
They offer an unbeatable $5 Tuesday movies until 4 P.M. Theater is always clean. Temperature is nice. Sound system is excellent. Seats are roomy and comfortable. They offer a patronage program earning points for both ticket and concessions purchases. Like most movie theaters, concessions are expensive.
Awesome recliner chairs to kick back and enjoy the show. The sound is great and not a bad seat in the house. Only 1 thing though, my popcorn was more than my movie ticket which was a surprise. Well worth the experience.
Not that theres any competition with any other theaters other that at our own home, this is I very nice theater and kept clean. The snacks are insanely expensive and Ill never spend $13 on a drink and popcorn I could make at home for a fraction of that cost. Star Wars always rocks on the big screen. I love the seats that are like recliners, yet even the regular seat are comfortable too.
Easy and accessible for a movie experience. Typical prices for a theatre. Comfortable seats, but the temperature in the theater is cold. I wore my down coat and was still chilly. A blanket would be good to have along.
Theater was clean and comfortable. Didnt have any thing from the snack bar so cannot comment on that but the employees were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time watching the movie!
Love the this Theater! The seating area is clean and well kept. My only complaint is the price of food. But what movie theater doesnt over price their food.
Parent/child heaven. Theaters include a big screen, connected to sunset boulevard for arcade fun, with a restaurant attached to that. Had daughters birthday parties there.
The seats were very uncomfortable. We went to the opening of the new Star Wars and sat in the reg. theatre. I remember the seats being a lot more comfortable the last time we came here to see a movie.
Its alright, although one of the employees only filled my popcorn up half way (with no refills) but that shouldnt be an issue for many other people. There was also a fairly noticable crease on the screen that was pretty distracting.Overall, not bad.
Friendly service and a clean theater. Snacks were tasty and drinks were cold. One thing that was unique about this theater was that there is a small little ammusent park and arcade in it, Im not just talking like a single room it actually contains rides, games, mini golf, and batting cages.
Below average theater in my opinion. Seats seemed to be slanting forward, like they were trying to dump you out onto the floor and not comfortable. The image quality on screen 9 was not great either. A very strong moire effect that caused a buzzy look picture in the whites. Overall it did not look very sharp either. Almost as if the projector was out of focus.
I love that the theater is attached to funest boulevard, it makes it easy to show up early without having kids get bored.I was recently here and when I got my concession I forgot to grab my pretzel bites. I remember about 10 minutes later and an employee named Tristan and his other coworkers were very helpful and got me the item I had already paid for immediately. Very pleased.
Pretty nice cinema with leather reclining seats in the Dream Lounger Theaters. There is the usual concession stand food and drink, but there is also the option to grab other types of food - like hamburgers and pizza. You can order seats online or go early and reserve seats (we found that was the best option to avoid loud whispering from both drunks and kids). They have a constant Military discount and a Veterans Day popcorn promotion for us vets, too.
Now that I am retired, one of my hobbies is going to the movies on Tuesdays and Fridays when tickets are discounted for seniors. They take pride and keep their theater immaculate.
Great place to watch movies. Has Funset, a place to hang out before the show. Arcades and food.
Love the ultralounge and the option of having food delivered you our seat. Theater is dated compared to others [valley grande], lines are insane at the concessions
Good waiting for them to open again
Its not as nice here. The Valley View theater on the east side of Appleton is so much better. Thay have bigger and better seats and you can recline in their seats.
Nice comfy seats, great food! Volume a bit high for previews but it seemed ok for the movie.
This place is definitely getting a little run down and old, however most of the theaters have been updated. Its connected to Funset Boulevard which used to be hoppin when they first opened, but now its a little depressing, smelly and old. It majorly needs some updates, but there are not as many young people in the area as there used to be. In the 90s this was the place to be a movie theater/gaming play zone. There wasnt much in this area for people to do in general, the Fox Valley is still growing for the better.
Pretty awesome place chairs are comfortable, friendly service despite being super busy only real complaint is could have a better balance of family friendly movies and action for adults. But all in all a fine establishment keep up the good work and be happy working as a team youre strong together.
Comfy there but the prices are crazy wont come again my friends said the same
Nice theater. I do wish that they had more of the reclining seats like other Marcus in the area. Good location and convenient times.
Well its a great theater. Its clean, has nice seats, and excellent selection at the snack bar. I like movies and had lots of time to kill. About 6 1/2 hours worth. I explained this to the 2 very nice young men at the ticket booth. They pointed to a big dry erase board and told me about the 4 movies for 20 dollars deal on Sunday. They sold me the ticket and set up my rewards card. I watched my first movie and go for my second ticket and am told by a very polite girl that it is only good for one movie per visit. Im not one to make a fuss so I just bought another ticket. Still had a great time, but this could of been explained better. I dont have a Marcus Theater where Im from and dont know the next time Ill be by one. I only watched 2 movies pretty much blew a few extra bucks.
Solid theater. Prices are decent. Theres a large arcade inside which is a nice bonus. 4 stars because they dont have the newer reclining seats like other Marcus theaters.
Clean and well organized. Sound was great and seating was comfortable.
Closed for covid when I went there unfortunately
The Marcus Theater is awesome! The popcorn is scrumptious and the drinks are great! The staff is friendly and accommodating! The movies are good quality picture and the sound is clear and loud. Highly recommend for an enjoyable movie experience.
Very clean theater but I am used to a little bit more leg room. A lot of seats and prices are a bit higher for just a early show. Overall I enjoyed my visit
Staff is friendly even though its Christmas day! Thank you for being open and willing to work so families like mine can enjoy a great movie together!
Yes you can watch a movie here but much better options in the valley. Valley Grand (10 min drive) has all dream recliners and seems much more updated.
Great place to go for $5 Tuesdays however need to staff more & clean better in bathrooms.
I used to come to Hollywood Cinemas a bunch when I was a teen and this place has gone downhill. The check-in processes are super slow compared to other theaters, the theaters need an update, and the lady at the ticket booth in the front is bias. We came in with our tickets pre-purchased and she made us get to the end of the ticket purchase line. I was taken aback by this as I have not seen a theater do this in ages (even in the super small towns in NC). I addressed this behavior with the ticket lady and said that I felt picked out of the crowd (my husband and I were the only ethnic people at the theater) and she said that it was because she didnt have the scanner for my online tickets. Flabbergasted I observed the ticket booth as we waited in the long line for refreshments (at least a 15 minute wait). The same employee who stopped us and made us get back in the TICKET line let a whole group of people in with their online tickets right away. I will not come to this place again as I would rather spend my money as a patron to a worthy place.
Dont forget the senior discount.... because they sure wont mention or offer. Seniors pay $7.50
Good choices, steep prices at concessions, busy, senior discounts.
$5 Movie on Tuesdays and lower prices on snacks?! Pfft...cant beat that. I love going to see an early show when the theater is less packed. Take the kids...save money! Win Win!
The manager of this place lacks judgement and doesn’t correct their mistakes. It sucks when you pay a lot of money on Christmas to bring your kids to the ultra screen and noone can get your food order and they do nothing about it.
Always great movie selections work great times though concession prices a bit high and dont accept AMEX.
I went to two movies this afternoon. I wasnt impressed that for $5 Tuesday, they only had two concession ppl working. Not only that if they are offering something on the menu then it should be accessible at the front counter. Not have to wait for it to be made. I.e. pretzel bites. I did see tho that when I came out of my 3:40pm movie, they had two ppl working concessions and one person in bck making popcorn and bites, etc.
Pricey but the splurge is worth it. I love that I can purchase our tickets in advance and avoid waiting in lines! Also, the stadium seating with the couple seats is extremely comfortable!
It was a great experience, but a little cool in theatre.
I wish these huge theaters who are obviously well off could offer there customers internet. My only complaint.
Great. I cant really explain why its so good. But people are nice lines go quick, movie experience is great.
Comfortable movie venue to see movies.
I come to Marcus Hollywood Cinema to watch the movies because I use my Marcus card to get discount on movies and snacks then I also receive emails on upcoming movies
Great place but would love coke products
The experience was amazing, good food and i was happy with the seats
Great food great seats always a good time
Prices are high. Just like everywhere else. But service is good and the place is clean. Recommend
Not bad but I’d still choose their other location in Darboy. It’s nice to have funset connected to make a fun affair with your kids in the arcade then hop over for a movie.
Good place to wait before a movie. Games are outdated though and no recycling containers.
Very good place for kids. The attached arcade makes wait times a lot more fun. $5 Tuesdays at the movies rounds up the fun experience.
I just love it! The comfortable seating and friendly staff.
Its nice. Wish they would have more recliners
They need to get the dream loungers in all the theaters, other than that awesome place.
It was pouring rain when the movie ended, and I was parked some distance away. The ticket cashier offered me a beautiful big umbrella, and said, Drop it back when you can! What a life saver!Love her!
Got there early so we got 20 minutes of commercials. And then 20 minutes of previews before the feature started.
It was my first time and it was nice
Comfortable seats, fairly clean for a busy day, but it had to be 80 degrees in the theater. Too hot!
They have a great selection of movies. They have more expensive tickets with fancy seats as well as low cost movies on Tuesdays. Plenty of candies, popcorn and sodas to choose from too!
Love the movie Shaw and Hobbs. Clean and safe
Theater was not cleaned between screenings. Popcorn, candy wrappers, and nacho trays were littered all over the floor and seats, which were also incredibly uncomfortable and outdated. Avoid this location.
Love $5 Tuesdays
The theater we went to, no. 5, had an odd stairs setup. Instead of each row of seats being on the same level as the steps, it was like one and a half steps per row. We got into the theater as the movie started and could not see this. So as I stepped into the seating area I nearly fell because of the drop off to the seating level. I turned around and warned my wife but she lost her balance anyway and fell back and hit her head pretty hard. We ended up in the emergency room for the next few hours getting her checked out.
It would be good if they had more movie options
Avengers on the Ultrascreen! Deserves 10 !!! Matinee prices are great, reservations available and truly sound you can feel! Definitely recommend booking tickets online through Fandango; easy pick up right at the door. Wide selection of snacks and even hot food like pizza, burgers and fries. Take your kids, be a kid. Clean restrooms, lockers, and attached to the wonderful Vista Boulevard. Worth a visit.
They have a military veterans discount. Its nice to find business that appreciates the military .
It was okay. Wish they had the nice seats like the east side does.
Only one theater has dreamlounger seating. Most of the arcade games are not functioning properly each time we have gone there in the past 2 years. Would much rather go to the Valley Grand Cinema on the east side. They have dreamlounger seating in every theater and they also have a real restaurant with excellent food.
Nice theater. Fair prices. Great movie: Rocketman.
Funset boulevard, lots of games and food for all ages, then you have the movie theater best of both worlds
This is the theater I choose to go to when Im in Appleton. Its clean, staff is friendly, and love the dream lounger theaters, not all of them have them. They have 3 kiosks to use if you purchased your tickets beforehand, which is convenient.
One of the better theaters around. From the reclining leather seats to great sound its a great place to get lost for a few hours. In addition having an Arcade and indoor rides attached to the building it is a destination for families of all sizes.
Went there to see Wonder Woman. The theater had a well stocked snack bar.The theater seats were very comfortable and the volume of the sound was not deafening. The 3D screen and glasses presented the movie excellently and we thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The restrooms were clean and functional.
Thanks Payton for great service and picture taking. Thanks also for the Thursday educators discount and complimentary popcorn!
Great movie lineup. Very comfortable seats. Multiple screens.
Nice movie theater. Has reclining chairs in one of the theaters for the movie I saw. They were really comfortable I almost fell asleep.
I work with guys that have disabilities and we took 4 guys of which 3 where in wheelchairs to the Marcus Theaters and they have spots for wheelchairs up front. The guys enjoyed the movie very much.
Very polite Employees nice and clean,
I LOVE THIS THEATER!!!!!! Its close to home, barely ever crowded, clean, staff is super friendly, and they show great movies. If you want to go to the movies, come here, you will not regret it. I wont go to the movies anywhere but here. And they werent lying about their Ultrascreen and how you can feel the sounds. Came out of Mission Impossible 6 feeling like I had just came out of the movie itself. If possible, get a rewards card for this theater chain. You will not regret it
I wish theyd invest in the Coke creation machines for soda. Otherwise nice and clean.
Theater is very clean, love their popcorn and butter topping.
Theater staff very friendly, matinee clean and presentful
Awesome service but Im always freezing in the theaters. Gotta bring a sweater
$5 Tuesdays! The lifeblood of highschool and college aged students. Need food and you have no money? Rewards cards on Tuesdays gets you 1 smol popcorn per ticket purchased! But that Greg Marcus dude. Plz stop.
Clean. Easy to view screens. Sound level a little louder than I would like, great prices on Tuesdays and Fridays during the day.
The facility itself is great. Something for everyone. Cleanliness isnt the best. Its not disgusting.. It could just be improved.
Looks like an old movie theater but its really a good quality. Weekends here are very busy. It has multiple screens and almost every movie playing. There is a snack bar and a play area. Nice place. I enjoyed this place. They also have a reward program to sign up. Being a traveler I didnt ask anything about it.
Easy to find from Green Bay.
Clean and well maintained but they need more handicap parking spots. Always filled and difficult to walk far and then stand in ticket lines. Food lines. Soda lines...then finally find the theater...
Popcorn was stale. Dont like the old seating anymore. Love the Oshkosh Marcus seating better
Wish the seats can be better, but its nice that its not as crowded as the other cinema
Saw the Apostle Paul movie. It was really good! Highly recommendable. Last one I saw here was The Shack - another great movie!
Great customer service. Amazing food & very clean!!
Doors were locked when we arrived of a 930 pm showing.
