Great coaching. My daughter enjoyed it. Some of the parents are too serious for a league of 6 year old kids.

What a flop. This was my sons first season playing soccer. He ended up being on the Silver Bullets team. The coaches are two high school girls. I would strongly suggest that when minors want to coach a team, they get put in the position of assistant coach for their first season along side an adult head coach so that they can learn the dynamics of coaching a team. They were unable to assert leadership during practices which resulted in them getting frustrated with the kids which lead to yelling and whining at the kids and making them run laps. They spent more time running laps then learning how to play soccer. There were games were my son played less than 1/4 of the game while other players played the entire game. When asked by the coaches if wed like to do the memorial tournament we paid an extra $17 to sign our son up for it. They put a new kid on the team who hadnt been there up until this tournament. This child was played the entire game. When I brought this up to the coaches at the end of todays game, it did not go well. I let them know we wouldnt be back for the last game because I saw no point in it, I told them it seemed like they were playing their favorites because some kids are in the entire game and my son is barely getting put in. They said it was because that was the position they learned and they were good at. I said shouldnt all the players learn all the positions so they can all be rotated? Apparently this set off the coaches mom because I received a nasty text message from her. If a minor is going to aspire to coach a soccer team, they should understand that it comes with adult responsibilities and there will be times where you will hear criticism. The soccer fields could use some TLC. Sprinklers come on randomly during games. Lots of dirt patches and dead grass. There is an open pit between the grass and the fence housing a sprinkler system or something and its not blocked off. Pieces of cement laying on the dirt with rebar sticking out.Overall, not impressed and a waste of money. Ill be looking for another league. I know there are other coaches that do a great job in this league and would make it worth it to come back but unfortunately we didnt get to experience that.

Its a growing league, I like it because they do a good job of making rec teams even and not stacking good players. Fields can be better but keep improving year after year. Also their club league- Fury F.C. is the cheapest priced club league in the HD.

Isnt it funny how people give 1 star so rarely? As a league parent and coach for 7 years I can truly say my kids have been positively influenced by playing on the HDYSL. They have made good friends, learned a lot about the game and has given us great family time on the weekends. No business or entity is perfect, however the board of volunteers do the best they can with over 1200 players playing every season.

Extremely unorganized and unprofessional! ... showed up and the field is dead and has a lot of dirt patches, we didnt even have goal posts!! Here we are, 2 practices in and its our first game... did I mention we dont even have our uniforms?! We had to miss picture day because they didnt know what happened to the kids uniforms and we still dont have them yet!UPDATE: THIS LEAGUE IS FULL OF DRAMA(ALL STAFF) THE STAFF IS A JOKE AND FULL OF LIES AND DRAMA. HIT PEOPLES CARS AND LIE ABOUT IT, SEND THEIR KIDS TO SPY ON COACHES THEY DONT GET ALONG WITH AND CREATE PROBLEMS. THE PICTURES SUCK, SECOND SEASON IN A ROW THAT THEY DIDNT HAVE UNIFORMS ON TIME. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PATHETIC LEAGUE

I asked for my son to moved to different team or to be moved to a different division due to the fact that his coach was doing unseemly things with the kids while he was coaching. They would not do it even though I stressed that I felt my son was in danger and was forced to break my sons heart and pull him out of the league. It is not okay that they would not put my sons needs first and keep him safe.
