Amazing experience. We drove up for the day scouting for camping. Were told the campgrounds are under construction and there was no swimming in the spring currently due to CV19. The park is well maintained and the spring was free from garbage. There were bathrooms, showers and lockers(bring your own lock). Nice cafe and picnic tables, pavilions for reservation and charcoal grills. There is a volley ball pit and a couple of horse shoe pits. The head Rock Spring has a different trail with stairs but its worth it! We saw fish, turtles and lots of birds. Bring nuts for the squirrels. Ample parking but be prepared to walk. The main swim hole is wheelchair accessible. Well be back.
I came with a child to take a walk in this park. But some places are under renovation. A policeman drove up to me and very rudely said that he would arrest me if I entered the territory where repairs were being carried out. The child and I were shocked. I recommend the park administration to keep track of who works in their territory. I recommend that the police come to my trainings on education and etiquette.
Natural beauty at its finest. The springs are amazing. Park has lots of picnic tables, grills, benches, parking, etc...I was charged $3 for 2 people and it was well worth it. I think this is a must see/do for any tourist as i was. You can also go tubing normally but the springs were closed to get in when we visited. Loved it thats why i keep going back.
Nice place to hike or play/bathe in cristal springs. The hiking trails are well marked. They offer pavilions that you can use for small gatherings. And you can use their barbecue sites. There are camping grounds. Entrance is not free; you pay $3 for a car with two people, higher prices for more people
So when construction is complete, it should be nice again. Limited access during Covid-19. Closed to swimming.
Launch your kayak for 3 bucks here! Beautiful waters. Friendly staff! Recommend!
Beautiful place. Water is Crystal clear. Theres is a small current that allows floats to be used and swiftly be taken down stream. Theres a shallow kid friendly area before going into a bit more high water. Theres plenty of sand for kids to play in. Many pavilions and tables available. Restrooms and showers are also available and lots of parking. I only give it 4 star because I was trying to call in to office before my arrival to make sure of times and prices and no matter how many times I called no one answered. Made a 2 hour drive just to find out the times on Google werent correct, it said 8am-8pm yet they closed at 5 not leaving us enough time to truly enjoy. The time on Google is for summer hours winter hours differ. Other than that its a great place to relax, snorkel and enjoy some fishes and natural plants underwater. With time this place is amazing. First time here and we loved it even if it was for a small moment.
Beautiful clean water spring, nice trail to walk around the spring and bush. Sometimes you will be able to see deer, butterfly, and fish. Good picnic spots and playground.
Absolutely beautiful here. So relaxing.
Nice area for families and friends, COOL spring water so refreshing after the heat. If you plan to go down from the top at the spring head, BRING OR RENT A TUBE. I definitely suggest it, its awesome. Wednesday was a great day, not too busy, there were pavilions in use. Bring water shoes, since the are rocks on the bottom, smoother small ones at the main area, but bigger ones you float over (and hit if you arent on a tube) from the top. Also, much faster to pay the parking fee in cash (tube rentals available before you get to the park) so check into those before you go.
Swimming is not allowed due to the pandemics. We went on a Thursday and saw about 10 people, and 4 deers. Hiking trails are tranquil and shaded. Its a beautiful place.
Beautiful campground. The kayak launch is nice, but it is a FAR walk with your kayak to launch area
The staff- nothing short of phenomenal. The park- I visited Camp Joy for the Run Paddleboard access- a very easy walk to water.I only remembered Ruths name because we had a pleasant yet short conversation, but the folks at the park station were SUPER helpful. Looking forward to more trips out there and some camping.Proof that Central Florida is more than just a mouse.
Absolutely stunning place !! Very well maintained! We will be coming back for sure !! They have a full concession stand with all kinds of food( burgers, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream ect.) All at very reasonable prices. They have police and park rangers patrolling which is nice. There is a lot of picnic tables and grills as well. If your looking for a fun thing to do outside, check this place out !!
We love this place. This is my 3rd time here. Go here when youre around Apopka. It is nice place to just chill cool and relax floating around. This place gets pack easily now so its best to go early . Usually gets pack around 9 or 10 am. But stick around and they will give you pass for the afternoon entrance one
Very nice park to spend whole day. Bring your own food and drinks (barbecue places available) because it’s nothing there. Monday’s seems to be a good day to go
Fantastic! Only $5 for a carload. Well-run and maintained state park. Extensive beautiful clean spring-fed shallow/wading lazy river with a lot of riverside grassy picnicking areas. Playground concessions and restrooms available. Many folks floated on tubes but snorkeling is the best way to enjoy it!
Trip highlight! Nice park 30 minutes away from Orlando. Kayaking, tubing, and swimming year around in 68 degree water. Water is beautiful blue color.
I cant believe Im just finding this location! It was amazing. We rented a clear kayak from Get up and go Kayaking. It was such a beautiful river, I plan to return very soon!
What a beautiful park. My kids had so much fun floating down the river. The water is crystal clear and not too cold.
Fun little day spot fed by a spring. Stop at the king tubes on the way in and grab a tube to float down the creek with. Bring sunscreen, swimsuit tube or floats and maybe a snorkeling mask.
Lovely place for a family reunion. They have a decent restroom, and showers for both males and females. The park is very clean and well maintained. They dont rent equipment. Keep in mind that you will need to bring your own stuff, such as kayaks, and pay a fee to be able to use it. They have a small hiking area. The river needs more maintenance. It gets really crowded so you may need to wait some time to get in the park. I waited 2 hours, but it was worth it. This is a beautiful place for photography! Its magical!
A beautiful place to go with your family. Plan to go for a whole day and get there very early before they open in the summer, as the line will be hundreds of cars deep by opening time. Wear river shoes as there are sharp rocks and spines in the river bed. There are a few picnic benches and grills, so I suggest bringing your own grill and seats. There are bathrooms and a concession stand (was closed when we visited). You can rent inner tubes right outside the park.
One of the most amazing and beautiful natural springs Ive ever been to. Picnic tables in the shade with grills. What a beautiful place to spend the day!! Pics dont do it justice!! Beyond words!!
Wild nature of Florida! Very peaceful and nice place .
Awesome place!! So clean and love it. I recommend it if you like nature. Was only $3 for my fiancé and I to go in
Beautiful spring water to swim. The trail is nice but short about 2.1 miles.
The Governor opened the State of Florida to full capacity and they said that the trails are open but they couldnt let people in the spring water due to Covid-19. Are these people that unable to process for themselves or are sheep becoming the main prerogative now?
Beautiful spring. Even tho the spring was closed and could not go in the water, you can still walk the trails
Loved this place!! We rented tubes for the day and did the relaxing river run. It was a beautiful scenery and the hike back with the tubes was not bad at all. I felt like we were tubing in the jungle with so much greenery all around. Very serene area. We also enjoyed a picnic near the parking area. The water was crystal clear too!
Best trip so far this summer!! Went and got in line early at 7:30am was about number 12 in line for entry at 8am. Great experience water was clear saw some turtles and a few smaller fish. Trail was nice also saw a doe kids enjoyed it. Bathrooms were clean and rinse off area a huge plus. Bring cash for food vendor on site or pack your own lunch.
Such a nice place to go. If you love being outdoors, it will not disappoint. There are plenty of grills to use if you want to cook out, or before entering the park theres a subway, if you wanted to picnic. You can also rent tubes before going in the park. If you plan on going down the river portion, I recommend using some sort of flotation device, just because the rocks can hurt, and there are lots. Its breathtaking though!
Awesome place to relax and enjoy nature. The spring water is very nice, clean and clear. Fun for the whole family. If you do not have floats, get them before entering the park. There is a float rental just outside the entrance.
This park offers a superb way to jump in the springs and float downstream. Bring your tube and jump in the 72° water for some real Florida summer fun. They also have trails, a large swimming area and barbeque spaces. This is a premier park!
Perfect place to photograph for a maternity session! Friendly and helpful staff and the water is amazing.
Springs are beautiful and the current is surprisingly strong which makes for great tubing. If you’re going to snorkel get there way before it opens to be first in line cause the clarity gets murky quick. They have great trails with plenty of wild life to see when the crowds have died down. Only 4 stars because the bathrooms need work, showers and changing rooms would be nice. And more than one person working the concession stand would be my top criticism. Especially when the park has reached its capacity on a Saturday. We waited for an hour for food and felt so bad for the poor girl doing her best to take all the orders and fill them all while being super nice. The concession does have a lot of hot food options and pretty much anything you’d need to enjoy the day there, but they need more people working it for a more enjoyable experience.
This a paradise on earth, welcome to Florida best National Park
This place is amazing. Clear spring waters, came to picnic. But no swimming yet :(
This place is amazing! Super fun for family and friends. Very secure. When I was there, the sky look sunny. But, a couple hours later, the sky turns dark and they told everyone to get out of the water. But the park is super clean and full of nature. An amazing place to go for lazy river with beautiful view! The water isn’t too high so you can walk down the river. In the beginning of the river, there is a lot of slippery rocks, so be careful! Also, there are lifeguards everywhere to keep an eye out. Before going into the park, you can bring your own tubes or rent some for only $7 each! Super cheap and convenient! I would recommend everyone to come here and visit whenever you’re in Orlando, Florida! Plus, it isn’t expensive either! $5 to go in and $7 per person to rent a tube or you really don’t need one. If you’re on a budget, definitely come here!
Friendly, helpful, clean atmosphere. Would recommend to my friends. Definitely would go again, walking trail. You will never what you are looking at!
One of my favorite parks to hang out, tube down and enjoy the literally and figuratively cool water springs! Be sure to get there early as it fills up quick. Highly recommend to bring your own float because the ones you can rent for 7$ from tube king are kinda small and ugly! Also be sure to wear water shoes!
Beautiful and wonderful place. Great to bring your kids and to spend the day with friends and family. You pay $ 5 dollars to get in with your car. The place has bathroom, excellent playground for children, several BBQ spaces and a wonderful natural pool. Extremely clean and transparent water. I advise you to go on hot days because the water is very cold. Bring float as the ride gets more fun. The green area of the park is immense and beautiful. Definitely worth spending the weekend in a place like this.
I simply must say I love Kelly Park. It is a joy to visit and camp. The spring is so beautiful it is hard to describe in word, so instead I have some pictures!
Very beautiful park. The spring head is super fun to swim around and explore with some goggles. You can tube down the spring to the main water body and if you want to, can continue tubing to the end. The trails are very nice and they have picnic tables and grills all over. Tons of beautiful spots to just throw a blanket down and enjoy the view. Absolutely love this place and would recommend it to everybody.
Lovely place! hike trails, lazy river, animals, clean water, nice and fresh air... been here multiple time and still always wanted to come back
Beautiful, clear water & nice hiking trails. Park fills up quick! Until you get about a mile back in the woods you can still hear ppl screaming & loud music. Not my idea of relaxing, but to each there own. Yesterday someone had music blasting about a guy getting his junk .... yeah, zero regard for the ppl that doesnt want to listen to your crappy music. But I did get some good picture & an up close of a cute little deer :)
Very nice natural park the water is extremley clear even 3-4ft deep you can see the bottom perfectly clear
Kelly Park was so much more than I expected from a state park. The water was so crisp and beautiful. The entry fee was per car and very affordable, I believe we paid $5.00 to get in and there were 7 of us. We did end up driving back out to rent tubes that are just outside the gate. The kids had a great time snorkeling and tubing. The park provides charcoal grills and picnic tables & there is also a canteen they serves food. Make sure to check the website before going as the park only lets people in during certain hours, 2 times per day. We got there early in the morning so we did not have a problem but the parking spots filled up quickly.
We were looking for something to do instead of theme parks and this was perfect. The water is warm and we loved floating the stream-you can rent tubes from the place at the park entrance.
Water was clear really nice not deep perfect for small kids & seniors. You can also take your inner tubes. Had grills to cook if you wanted to cook. Volley ball courts playground. Very relaxing family environment. My first time there i really enjoyed it.
Beautiful place to bad no dipping on those beautiful waters.due to covi19.
Pretty fun! I mostly did some hiking and it was pretty relaxing.
This is the most beautiful Florida park I have ever seen. It is well kept by staff who love and respect the land. They also have a cop on duty there. I cant find anything to complain about. This park of wonderful.
In a typical year, Kelly would be overrun with day visitors as well as packed in with campers, and this year, they COVID-capped the parks. You’ve gotta see the spring!
No doubt one of the best places in Florida! Great for kids, a lot of fun, very nice Park very well maintained.
You can see nature and wildlife up close. It is beautiful!
Beautiful, but gets crowded. If you want a chance at enjoying peace, get there early. The canoeing part of the river has its share of happy drunks and loud music after 11
Great camping and beautiful springs. I stayed in my travel trailer and the camp spots were perfect for my 32 foot RV. Nice cement slab and level ground. Play ground was very nice, but the spring is the REAL attraction. Crystal clear water, nice swim area and current to use tubes.
Best Camping Park in Florida, RV plug and Play rental spot, Very Clean and Fun!!
What a super great inexpensive way to spend a day! $3 for 2 of us to get into the park. Ample parking with a drop off area, easy walk to the springs on sidewalk. There are concessions, restrooms, showers, grills, picnic areas. It says no alcohol but most people had beer with them so im not sure about that.
This place is so beautiful. This is our first time here and we love it. Clean, nice, and alot of fun. Its something the whole family can do.
I loved it . Just being outdoors exploring nature is great. I would love to go again.
Beautiful park with all the necessary conveniences. Pity no busses run there. Clear water, wild animals. Amazing
Go again and again. You will love it
A must! Make sure you get there early! We went on a Friday and were told to come back at 3pm because the place had reached its capacity limit. But thankfully a thunderstorm passed by and people were asked to get out of the water and many left instead. So We came in at 3pm and we had the whole park to ourselves!!!!!
What an experience! The water is very clean. Crystal clear. 90% drinkable. We have chosen a clear boat, but kayaking up stream wasnt that fun. The boat is not as dynamic as the regular one, and you really have to sync with your partner for a successful experience. When we finally got up stream, we got off our boats and relaxed in the water. Swimming and taking pictures. Needless to say how much fun it was to float down the river in a clear boat, above crystal clear water.
Awesome place to enjoy with your family. Did the Kelly trail and saw wild turkeys. The playground is great for kids and had a great time!
Great family place and very safe. Life guards always on duty and looking out for the well being of everyone. The springs are very refreshing. A great way to cool off and fun for the whole family. They have a concession stand incase you dont want to pack any food or drinks. I personally pack my own stuff but I thought Id add in a picture of what they offer and their prices for those who are interested.
Love paddling, swimming and hanging out here! The Kings landing launch is a perfect spot for launching the rock springs run to wekiva, or for paddling a bit upstream. Its so gorgeous and crystal clear. You can rent clear kayaks, double and even canoes. Highly recommend the place. Make sure to arrive before 11, and usually the earlier the better. Sometimes youll have the place almost to yourselves!
Wonderful place. Beautiful scenery. Water is a natural bluish hue due to coloration of the rocks. Very neat experience!
One of my most favorite places on Earth. This is REAL Florida.
A lover of nature, I spent time this summer visiting the springs! Kelly Park blew me away with its clear water, lazy river, and the cherry on top was the fact that they had lifeguards! Tax dollars well spent! This park is family friendly, take your guy or girl friends, or soak up the beauty on your own! Bring a tube, a chair or blanket, and your swimsuit! If you dont have a tube someone will be selling them on the side of the road or you can pick one up at Publix!
Arrived before 10 am due to park ALWAYS reaching its capacity!! If you rent tubes....please watch them carefully, it was a family snatching tubes!!! Tube rentals are 7 bucks each, and if using credit card, there is a 1 buck fee!! The only way to enter the park is to arrive EARLY!!! The park is BEAUTIFUL and peaceful...be careful, a snake was swimming in the lake any my 12 year old claim she saw a gator
A place to enjoy The Real Florida! Fun for everyone, swimming, tubing, vallyball,Basquetball biking, even camping.nice clean facilities, fresh air, tranquility.
Nice park but to many squirrels around. Came to close to picnic table. They we not scared when you make a noise. You can tell they were feed by people. Wekiva pool open but was wondering why Kellys was not? Employee didnt have an answer when it would be open next.
It is a nice park. The water is cold which was expected. If you are going during the summer months make sure you get there by 7am. Once they are at capacity which usually happens by 8:30am they close entry for the rest of the day. The picture with the cars was the line at 7am to get in.
One of the most beautiful places in Florida go early or go during the week
I went to the park on 8/01/20 at 1:30 pm from miami and when arrived in the entrace the person that was on duty dint let me get in because I had a pet ( bird ). I explained to her that I drove a lot of milles from miami. But she said that in the park they dont permit any pets. But the point is that I called before to know the information about the park and no-one told me anything about the pet rules, in their website I dint see any information refering to any pet rerestrictions I was disappointed because it may have been a good recreational place. If you dont offer a good customer service all the rates become negatives
Park is very clean, and kid friendly. Got the opportunity to camp here, well worth the trip.
Nice Park for family and friends gathering and enjoying the day!
The park is nasty, no safety protocol, bathrooms were full to the top and disgusting, no soap, no hand sanitizer
Love this place!! As far as Im concerned its like a little Hidden Gem I had no idea about this place and bumped into it by accident on Google... its absolutely beautiful it is like a small little Beach right in the middle of Central Florida the water is very cold theres tons of places you can sit especially throughout the whole park where you can also have a picnic or barbecue you can sit closer to the water... Theres a huge area where it has sand for kids to play... they have a park also a concession stand in my opinion is very expensive but its there you can also Camp there its just a really nice place to bring your kids... my favorite part about the Springs at self is that there is a current that sweeps you down almost like a river its just a beautiful place to be I would highly recommend coming here with your children or even alone.****PLEASE ALLOW PEOPLE IN AS PEOPLE LEAVE NOT FAIR TO CLOSE THE PARK FOR THE WHOLE DAY****
My favorite local spring, love the lazy float down and so do my toddlers. Ive never seen gator but did have a water snake swim by last time and that really freaked me out some! Usually a nice place, water is a given, cold. But, your body will numb and its nice on the extra hot days. I dont bother going during the weekend, to crowded and not worth getting there around 6-7am. They even have sun screen debentures which I thought as awesome! We like to take the trails also and saw a deer a few times back, it walked right in front of us like it wasnt bothered. It was amazing!
Great place. Excellent people......nice and calm environment....clear, fresh, and cold water.....sand volleyball, picnic areas, grill areas, big gazebos all over, clean bathrooms, handicapped parking and ramps as well, floaties for rent ($7) before getting to the entrance of the park on a gas station. We paid entrance to the park $5 for 5 people in a minivan. I believe it is really good price. No alcohol, no pets allowed. Recycling stations available. Hiking trails..... beautiful scenery, I mean gorgeous and it feels so nice while you and your loved ones are walking around the park.....just loved it!!!!
Its our place to go for camping. It well kept and the staff is friendly and always looking out for their visitors. Gorgeous spring! Perhaps is best to enjoy it any weekend, but a holiday weekend, just because it can get crowded.Lots of wildlife experiences too.
Beautiful trails. Nice staff. Water was closed.
We camped here. Had a blast! Ladies who run the main office are amazing and incredibly helpful! Will definitely be back.
Beautiful clear water, great for tubing & extremely relaxing. Park is pretty & the grounds are kept up well. Life guards at every main point which is nice for safety. A couple of areas are a little deeper but for the most part the water level is a good depth that your kids can even walk through the spring water. Also, there is pretty wildlife throughout the park.
Rent a tube before entering the park its cheaper! The waters are shallow but the current from the springs will push you around like a lazy river. Entering the park is around $5 per car depending on the amount of people. Call ahead or be super early in summer! Park gets filled to capacity early!
This is the real Florida. Love this park. the spring is very unique it creates a natural lazy river into a large swimming area.
Chilly water, but a beautiful day trip and a nice break from theme parks.
Wow. Just wow swimmimg through a natural spring was just a great experience.
Kelly Park was really nice. We went camping with the family for my sisters 30th birthday. We got the family camp site (#3) which allowed up to 4 tents. It was exactly what we needed. The park/camp doesnt allow alcohol or pets. Unfortunately, there was bacteria in the water when we were there, so we couldnt swim. We were informed of the bacteria upon arrival and there were signs posted in different places as a reminder as well. We saw wild turkeys and wild deer roaming through out the camp site. Overall, we were very happy with our time there. We will be coming back for sure.
The springs and surrounding areas were gorgeous, and going swimming while the current carries you through the river is very relaxing. The only qualm I had about my visit was that some of the parkgoers were very noisy, making it a bit difficult to enjoy what the park has to offer. Despite this, I would very much recommend this park if youre looking for a relaxing place to swim.
Its a nice place to spend the day, relax, see wild life, prepare some barbecue...The environment is familiar and the water is crystal clear.
We got here on Saturday at 630am and almost didn’t get in. When you are in line a cop gives you a ticket for your car. Once all passed out no one else is aloud in. Get here super early
Wonderful park! Lots of wildlife, good place to ground and reconnect with the earth
Every nice place!!! You can bring your own food to grill. Gets really busy, so get there really early. The inner tubbing is nice, but not that long. It took us maybe 5 mintues to inner tube the whole thing. You can go down it as much as you want. Also you can bring your own inner tube, if not make sure you stop at the inner tube store before the park. They do not sell them inside the park.
Beautifully clear water. Some who are a little more city may feel uncomfortable with the vegetation along the banks, but that is what makes it so beautiful to me - nature not all dolled up, but the way it was intended to be enjoyed.Growing up in Florida, we went a lot as kids. Having moved away, I had not been in years. It appeared to have shrunk, because I remembered it being so much bigger! Great for picnicking. Plenty of tables if you dont mind sharing space with the squirrels and raccoons! Everything was very clean. We went the first week of October, so it wasnt crowded at all.You can bring your own floats (Dollar General $3 - $5) or rent them for $7 at the little store before you go in the park. It does cost $5 a car load, but thats pocket change compared to everything else, and it is WELL worth it!
Lots of wildlife, beautiful spring water coming from a cave feeding the creek. Shade or sun, your choice plenty of both! Central FL has the prettiest spring water in the world.
