Took trail #10. Rode the creek bed for the first 4 miles and returned on the main trail on the return. A little dusty due to lack of rain but it was still a good ride. My first time driving road. It was a good trail for beginners.
Awesome spot for quads!! And if your brave you can go to the top and hike down to the caves!
Bulldog canyon is truly a hidden gem. It’s one of the best off-roading areas and has some really great views perfect, which are perfect for photo opportunities. There is a gate code which changes frequently, which is the only downside to visiting this area.
Absolutely stupendous. This trail was very clean and had plenty of options from hiking to dirt bike riding. I would say this is a tougher course not meant for brand new riders, but I made it through 10 and 3554 on my DRZ on my first time out. It was challenging and enjoyable, but the views were all worth it! Absolutely will be making my way back again at some point, but would like to see more dirt and fewer baseball sized rocks and sand for a first time ride.
Its cool cayon close to home 4wheeling an hikong in the gold fields
Fun area for the family.Been riding the bullsogs for 30 years. The gates help keep most of the riffraff out.You have to get a permit from the forest rangers.Either by email or in person. There are tons of trails. Just make sure you stay on them. And dont go through smashed down fences. And please remember to close and lock the gate as you enter or leave the park.
What an awesome place to trail hike or go 4-wheeling camping
Great place for some off road fun. Nice trails, river beds, a few challenges. Id rate most of this as easy with a couple moderate. Great views!
Breath taking views and extremely fun trails!!!
Nice place for a day run, from wolverine to blue point is 10 miles. Out and back is a side by side can be done in 4-6 hours with stops to enjoy the scenery. Easy terrain at each end but a little Rocky in the middle 50 percent. Rain will cause some difficult ruts. 4wd definitely needed. Dont take your stock vehicle with out backup.
Great place to 4 wheel. Beautiful scenery and close to home.
I really love this gate. Especially when people lock it. Keep the grifters out.
The scene is just amazing. Best time to go is during the winter of course.
This is a gorgeous place to get out of the city without having to drive too far. You must have 4 wheel drive to drive it, and theres a permit required to enter.
A amazing view of the night time sky you hear wild life all around and shooting stars all night can be seen for me truly a place to get to my center peace
GREAT VIEWS LOTS OF FUN FOR 4X4
Very great views, no trash laying around and well managed

Its a fun place to go on walks or hiking or bike riding to four wheeling! Free 14 day stay for camping or RV. Good for the whole family!

Do you like desert? This is a desert. Bring water.
Great trails. Get a pass
Lots of nails all over the floor. Who does that? Everything else is absolutely spectacular!!
Great hike. Awesome views of the sunset and the full moon. I also like the view of the city lights. Highly recommended.
Love Bulldog Canyon! Weve been going back there for years, we do many things back there; camping, hunting, hiking, quad & truck trail rides and even (only in monsoon) & catching. We have seen many beautiful animal & some weird azz bugs. Yes you do need a pass and there are trails you must stay on(but you can park and walk/hike any where), but the pass free.
Easy offroad trail with lots of good views of the desert.
Awesome hike not to stepAnd it was a bountiful day
Went for a walk out here.
Great place to ride atvs and excellent hiking trails.
If you have a 2wd please stay out of bulldog, dont ruin it for others
Wonderful area for offroad siteseeing and exploration. Stunnning scenery. Must obtain a pass from the city of Mesa. Well worth the effort. The trails are moderate to difficult.
Easy to find if you know what streets to turn onto. Adequate, easy parking adjacent to the trailhead
Rocky trail need high clearance vehicle. Dirt bikes, quads, rzrs would be best for this trail.
Nice run with some pretty knarly stuff in between
Chain on the gate was to short to be locked? ? Who is supposed to be checking this USFS? ? Some people wont play by the rules if no one is watching! !
Its hard to put the code in. The place its self is beautiful.
Great place to take your side by side and enjoy the desert scenery!
Love this place..
Its fun and close to home.
Sand rail trail up to the view. Always a good time
I think this area is real nice if you have an off road vehicle. I have a two wheel drive so it isnt that great for me personally. The gate is an inconvenience as well. Not to mention the permit you need to have.
Awesome equestrian trails, beautiful scenery!!
