I have a regular group I play with. This is pretty much our home track. Staff is always friendly, from the pro shop, to the kitchen lady, to the guys that take care of the course. Solid solid solid! Will definitely be going back!

Played Apache Creek for $32 on twilight rate. 1st time playing in this area. My wife was able to ride along for free. The play was slow and we teamed up with the twosome in front of us. Later they left and another twosome and a single joined us. At the turn the clubhouse was lock and my wife left to find a restroom. Needless to say after our drive on #10, another single jumped in to the middle of the hole before we could take our second shot. I drove up and spoke to him and he said he wanted to play a few more holes after his round. I asked him to play behind us and he said, no and told me to deal with it! Very rude gentleman. The couple I was playing with were from North Dakota and didn’t feel that was courteous either. We played 15 holes total before having to be in at 6:30 pm. The biggest thing I noticed was that there many ball marks on the green. On 1 green, I fixed 12 marks. Don’t think I’ll ever come back.

There was there was no Ranger today and we had a kid in front of us that was 4 years old running around on the green with his daddy and I have no problems with the kids on the course but his jam packed as you were today we had to wait on every hole they were on the green well they were putting and they could have gone to the next tee box course was good greens were good a disappointing in the time took three hours on the first nine people behind us never had to wait for us we were always hitting we know our distances were the ones in front they would wait till the next group were on the green no matter four or five par... So that also slowed up the game

Fairways/greens usually in good condition and they did a good job mixing up the course layout

The golf here is great. The views are nice. It is target golf in the desert with a great range and lots of practice chipping and putting greens. They offer a free lunch ticket on occasion. The cart service is frequent. Definitely a place I would play again

Ive been playing Apache Creek for quite a few years and Ive always said that it really needed some improvements done and it was great to see today that the clubhouse being remodeled trees were trimmed up and it looked like theyre finally starting to put some money into this course.

I havent played here for awhile...I do remember it being a fun course...alot of cool holes. I only used the range this time...nice and spacious....a lot of balls at a good price.

Course is in great condition. Services were super and our cart girl was outstanding.

While golfing the 10th hole, overseed is occuring, parked on the cart path the sprinklers went off and saturated the inside of my cart and myself along with our clubs. I managed to move the cart back on the path, in time for another saturation of a powerful sprinckler. I was drenched for the rest of the course and dodging sprinklers.

Second time there me and my son nice course.

Fun course! Pretty wide open and easy to find your ball

I ordered a Bagel sandwich and was charged for it $8.00.Did not receive a receipt.And changed order to Hotdog and received a receipt! Was then charged $9.00 fir that purchase. So after the round went to snack bar and the employee took me to the manager in Pro shop. I showed her two charges pending on account and she wouldn’t refund $8.00 payment, she said due to pending. I have been in a league here all winter and then into the summer. I will hesitate to golf here again! Steve H

Nice and pretty day..

Have played this course six to seven times these last few months. Staff is friendly, great view of Superstition Mountain, and fairways and greens in good shape. Food is good.Cant wait to come back and play it again

I couldnt tell you much about the greens or fairway, but I can say that the sandtraps are well kept and rather spacious.

They would not allow us to take separate golf carts during the peak of COVID-19. Claimed they would “run out of carts” when obviously they didn’t. It was 110° out and they didn’t even close close to running out. How about to take peoples safety seriously before they shut you down too.

Try to play this G.C. when ever in Phoenix area. Played there 1/2 dozen times, Great course. There is a par five 600+ yards. Mostly native plants on the course. Usually see a few road runners. Course is close to Apache Junction and Superstition Mountains. I hiked up the same trail the lady and dog were using. Steep in some areas. S.S. mts. Hiking poles recommended. From Apache Trail Rd (88) head east of service road 78 to Dutchman trailhead.

Course is in real good shape, greens were true. Nice practice areas. Only problem ranger came up to us a couple of times and talked to us about being behind and we had a handicap golfer in our group. Not at all required, delayed us even more.

Friendly staff, good tee boxes, nice fairways, nice greens. Wish it were closer to home.

Will not go back ... no mask requirement in pro shop!!! And, the fairways are not very good, there was dump truck kicking up lots of dust moving dirt to fill in a lake. Greens were OK.

Better shape than it used to be. Very crowded and slow in winter. Shut down the holes too early for afternoon players and the guys collecting the pins could use a personality. Driving range balls old and lifeless. Cart paths very rough. But all in all not terrible.

Very well maintained affordable public course.

Nice Superstition view, maintained course and down to earth staff. Food looked good, but havent tried yet. Cold beer and nice pro shop.

Horrible slow round... I love the course just not this time of year. Only squeezes out 13 holes before dark. T time was at 230

Done with this course. Dont bother as the condition of this course is absolutely unplayable. Attempted to play today ( 8/10/19) and walked off after 3 holes. Greens punched recently but the course has NO grass!! In order to take relief you would have to move your ball 10, 20,30 yards in any direction to maybe get some bit of grass under your ball.There is NO excuse to have a course in this shape. Please spare me the summer, the heat, rain and all that garbage. I have been in this valley since 08. From 2008-2016 the courses in this valley were NEVER in this abysmal condition....and that was when we had and were coming out of a recession.If you cant keep a course in reasonable shape, even in the summer then shutter it and sell it for commercial development.DONE

The coarse was in great shape, the so called marshel was a real idiot, the group in front of us got lost from hole 11 so there was an empty space on one hole. He told us to pick it up at least 3 or 4 times. Our total time for 4 people to do 18 holes was about 4 hour ten minutes if thats not fast enough I guess they dont wants our money.

Great value for the price. Early tee time fast play great way to spend a Sunday morning!!

Nice public track. Greens very well maintained; smooth and true. Wide open though a slight pull or push off the tees will land you in compact dirt. Played in four hours on a Saturday...nice!

Fun course

There are tee boxes on this course that look like vacant its, straight up. We used to play here all the time, as its so affordable and 5 min from home, but following an encounter with a staff member so negative that my boyfriend insisted on getting a refund and leaving, we may have been back once or twice in the year since that incident. The bare-bones course quality and lag in pace of play ensure its not worth being treated with open rudeness by staff.

Played there last saturday (early jan). Course was in good condition and not v busy, a well kept secret apparently. Nothing fancy but great option for winter golf for locals. Came back the following weekend. Not as good an experience. Prob not back soon

Went in for breakfast. The girl working there was so sweet. Ordered the American which is a choice of egg, meat and bread. Over easy, bacon and English muffin. It was cooked perfect. And the price was reasonable. Will be back

I have golfed here several times and find it a nice course. It is clean and well manicured. Hot in July in August? They do as decent job as possible keeping the grass green. If you walk, its a lot of walking. Staff is nice and quite helpful. Tee times not too difficult to get.

Spent more time at the range. The range balls must be defective as they dont always work as intended .

Affordable well maintained course

We enjoyed our round! Fairways and greens were pretty well maintained! Cart path got a lil bit tricky at times but if you stick to them as much as possible, and use the map, youll figure it out!

Great Public Course!Probably one of the nicer public courses Ive played. Considering the amount of traffic this place receives, I was really impressed by how well they are able to maintain this course. Ive never seen 15+ carts waiting at the starter box until I played this course. Green speeds are fair. This is not a punishing course. Poorly hit shots will be played from desert but you wont lose many balls.

A nice Desert Golf Course. Usually has openings so not over crowded. The course is long. Id recommend it to somebody who wants to play a good course thats not looking for the perfect greens and grass Fairways. Price is better than most.

Please ask the golfers to stop urinating on bushes along Baseline Rd.. It is unsightly and unsanitary. Next post I will add photos!

Really have enjoyed this course and people running the operation. I typically do not write negative about hobbies such as golf, but considering I have been thinking of getting an annual membership here I wanted to complain. I had to quit after a 3 hour, 9 hole half round. Paid for 18 and asked when I purchased green fees asking if I can make it thru in 5 hours (typically 4 hours but factoring the weekend traffic) due to a meeting. Unfortunately today I cant do a 6 hour round of golf, when approached the clubhouse asking if due to the circumstances if I could get a 9 hole refund/voucher. Without blinking said sorry nothing we can do for you. Hundreds of courses to choose from so I guess I will spend my money elsewhere.

Nice course at a reasonable price. Links type desert golf course that is pretty well cared for. Some of the lakes are dry and there isnt much elevation change but otherwise a good choice

Fun course to play

This is my home course, I play it once a week in the winter. If you dont like the desert and cant keep it on the fairways go somewhere else. But if you like a challenge play it. Its generally a straight course with little elevation, but they keep you honest with well placed trees, water, bunkers and mounds.

Nice course. Im just picking up golfing again after a few years so it was more difficult than other courses Ive played recently more desert than I would like. I would recommend and will return. The free meal with tee time is a great bonus.

Fun course that was well maintained.

The location of this course is on an open plane that allows cross breezes that make for a good summer place to play. It does lack for strategically placed shade to stay out of the sun. The fairways and tee boxes were in good shape, though the greens had tracks that made it a bit like putting off-road. This course has a fun layout with a variety of moderate challenges but be aware that there is extensive desert landscape. If you miss the fairway, you are likely to be playing off of gravel and sand with the propensity to chew up your club heads.

This course is in decent shape considering it is July in Phoenix. A couple of the water hazards were dried up, and the course was thoroughly soaked in low-lying areas, making mud a bit of a problem. In general, a fun course of average difficulty. Totally wide open layout with most second shots playable even if you miss the fairway by 10+ yards. Greens rolled very nicely. Nice practice area including a shaded driving range. Food/beverage options were average. Cold water every few holes which is very nice this time of year.

Good track for the price and course is relatively challenging, I would recommend back tees for long hitters. Im a 7 handicap and still found white tees a challenge because of the narrow desert lined fairways. Greens were really nice a rolled true. Staff friendly, pace was great.

Love Apache Creek..Course is in excellent condition . The staff is theBest. Kelly is doing a great job and she is a real sweet lady. Restaurant Ladies are Very Polite AND THE FOOD Is delicious. Try a round of golf and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Challenging course. Black tees, blue tees, white tees, silver tees for seniors and red for the ladies..

Expensive for shape of fairways

Nice layout. Good greens for putting, but hard for holding approach shots.

If I can think of one of the finest golf courses in Arizona the staff is very cordial the other golfers are very polite German joyable the golf club its a little crowded sometimes but that way you meet more people

Greens were in good shape. Tee boxes and fairways okay shape. My recommendation to anyone who plays here is do not book to far in advance, as they lower the rates constantly. You get the best deals the day before or the day of your golf game. Staff will not give you the better rate if you tell them that the rates have dropped. Also the staff here is the least friendly and helpful of any course I have played in the area. Will play again but will wait till last minute for better rates.

Its an ok course with a very functional practice facility. Grooming and maintenance lets the course down a bit. Pricing is appropriate.

Great and knowledgeable staff very accommodating! Kelli in the pro shop is nothing short of amazing! She was always there to help with a smile to make sure I had everything I needed from clubs, tees, shirts, and golf carts. You want to see what makes one of the best courses in the east valley go see her at Apache Creek!

Stay in the fairway, and you can shoot low scores.

The grass is a little crapy but other than that a really fun golf course. My high school golf team practices here a lot and I cant say to much bad stuff about it.

Beautiful challenging course with amazing views of the superstitions and reasonable green fees. The staff were very polite and helpful.

Easy to find. Have played numerous times when I come visit my brother. Always have a good time and the course is in decent to good shape. Have to keep the ball on the fairway and the greens are good size.

Wide open, great desert course! The only bad thing was I ordered a burger and fries.. I recieved a total of 5 French fries with my burger, should have just got the chips!

So its 5 stars because its a terrific value! Plays fast, well groomed, great price!

Great value. Fast play and good condition considering coming off the winter traffic. Fun dessert course.

I used to go here in the 90s a couple time a week when they kept up the course. I used to really like it and recommend it. Now it is like no one cares. The old cart paths have fallen apart. Old water features are run down or they just dont have water in them anymore. Greens and tee boxes are good but the fairways are subpar. Really bummed me out when I went. Lucky I was paired up with some very nice retired folks and we all had a good time. Not worth the price Id rather pay a little more and go somewhere else.

Ive been to a few golf courses, and this one is great. They have a great over hang that you can practice your swing, they also have punting course, and even got a place to get some great grub.

The course is wide open not too challenging, the fairways are brown and hard. The course is in need of water and maintenance.

Great golf windy day playable course

If it were possible to give this place any worse of stars then one star I wouldnt even make a .5 been golfing at a steady pace behind some golfers that were nice and easy and there were a group behind us that were just totally rude. Were told by the Marshall that we were taking to long so we either needed to speed it up or skip a hole even though we are waiting on someone in front of us and we had payed 65$ to play on this course and I will not skip a hole because we are waiting on other golfers.

Fun golf course. Super flat. Nice views of the distant mountain range.

We were allowed to play as a fivesome, due to special circumstances, which is unheard of anywhere else in the valley. People in the pro shop were friendly but the marshal was a different story. He was all over us after tee shots on the first hole to keep up or split up. Turns out we actually had to wait on almost every hole because a group 4 holes ahead of us was slowing down everyone behind them. Seems to me the marshal should have been all over them and not worried so much about us.

The course is well maintained, fast greens, and a lot of desert. The one negative is the staff getting in the way as you are hitting a ball.

Very difficult course. Bring a lot of golf balls with you! There is not a lot of room for error and I found myself hitting off the dirt quite a bit. I did enjoy the challenge. I know they help some of the local high schools with their fund raising, and that is pretty cool.

Their flags out front have the Canadian flag in the middle and the American flag off to the left. Very disrespectful to the flag and this country. The American flag should be in the middle and the other flags on the side slightly lower.

Cant beat the course for the price
