Wonderfully kept and inviting museum. Detailed explanations of the clear and accessible exhibits. Two current art shows available on separate floors in a portion of the museum. Very knowledgeable and hospitable attendant at the front desk. Very kind and personable, as well.

This Museum is absolutely beautiful. Educational and a great vessel to obtain information on Slavery and its impact on the City of Annapolis. This museum has been an Aid in educating my nieces and nephews on African American culture. They have also participated in many events at the Banneker Douglass Museum.#AriseaboveitALL.

The museum is beautiful and the guided tour was amazing! A group of mostly 5-10 year olds listened intently. I highly recommend visiting this treasure.

Wonderful informational, if there was a fireplace and cups of tea, it would have felt like home. I receivedt some geneology suggestions for trying to move forward with my African American heritage. Lovely gentleman at the desk just hoping you will ask more questions ! We need more of these places and less hatred.

I learned so much! I also really liked the chill vibe of the place. There was a coffee lounge dedicated to a badass state senator and a lots of spots to sit down and read a provided book. We loved our visit!

Small museum that does a great job introducing the long and continuing journey for African American civil rights in Maryland. There is a beautiful stained glass created from broken pieces of original stained glass from the church building there that was the start of the museum. The video telling the history of how the church eventually became the museum is interesting but long and difficult to hear at times. The staff we met were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Recommended!

My family and I visited the Banneker-Douglass Museum in Annapolis, Maryland. It was a wonderful and educational historical day tour for my children. My sons middle name is Douglass after the historical and rich history of the Bailey family in Maryland, Georgia and Ohio and lineage of Frederick Douglass ancestors whom I had the pleasure of meeting in Atlanta, Georgia several years ago. Thank you very much. You were extraordinarily kind to us. --Gloria Jean Harden-Bailey.

Great place and friendly staff. I love learning about history and to compare then and know is mindblowing. To see history and hear dialogue from the people in that time is moving. We as a people have to remember that are ancestors worked together to fight for what is right, no matter of skin color. My oldest daughter was moved to see and hear of all the wrongs that actually took place. We read about them and I tell her that yes things are still happening, but people of all shades stood up for whats just then and now. Its just our duty to learn and never forget history with a big heart. I will be back!!!
