Went to the latest UMGASS play and had a great time. This is a quaint old theater and the is not a bad seat in the house. If you havent seen a play lately you might want to look up their next showing and check it out. This theater puts you so close you really see the facial expressions and all.
This theater may not be the biggest or fanciest, but it definitely has the most character and charm! A little hidden, but good productions!
Intimate and cozy. Such a great place to catch a show!
Great production of the Pirates of Penzance! The SMTD has some wonderful talent!
Its a bit confusing with the tickets. I was supposed to have a pdf version emailed to me but didnt. When I got to the theater I had to stand in line in the box office rather than being able to use my email or having a bar-coded ticket attached that could be scanned from my phone
For being a UM venue I felt it was poor. Not many staff. But that is the way with the U. Minimalist. Saw a production by the Civic theater. Ticket prices were TWICE what usually pay. I dont fault the production, but I am sure rental costs were significant. Everything in A2 is money. Wont see a show there again. Parking, of course poor, A2. Overrated City unless alot of money. Can see shows that are better with better amenities elsewhere.....and will.
One of ann arbors many grear theaters. The accoustics are good on the first floor. Also it looks beautiful inside. Just gorgeous to look at. Also has lots of operas and is smaller then the power center. Definitely worth a visit.
An intimate concert venue...
I like the smell of this old but heavily in use theatre. Well maintened and operated by the UofM. Seating is not the best in all spots but balcony and front rows are fine. Pristine restrooms. Most of the performances can be purchased online. Ive found audience is generally respectful.
Nice small theatre and parking structure is pretty convenient.
The Ballerinas were so beautiful and the performance was excellent.
Attended so many student org performances here! Wonderful memories that I cherish
YPT did a fantastic performance!!
Pirates of Penzance was great.
This is a sublime venue to present stage shows. My first musical was produced here. Wonderful memories.
Great place too see a play

Lot of free Shows with good ample seating, clean restrooms and street parking which is free after 6pm.
Great entertainment ! Thoroughly enjoyed.
Wonderful performance of The Nutcracker every Thanksgiving weekend.
Have attended several shows here! Great venue for intimate events. Can see pretty well throughout theater, including balcony and most seats. However, seats on the edges it can be harder to see, especially if the event is being videotaped.
Wonderful small theatre with fantastic acoustics.
Great performance space
Old but historic building, great shows year round. Careful for safety if youre a pit musician.
Love the acoustics, the wood, the architecture.
Nice compact theatre for hosting shows and concerts located in the heart on University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
