I made a mistake while hunting with my crossbow causing the string to come off the cam. This was 11/7 and the heat of the rut. I took it to Deer Track needing him to spend 15 minutes and put it in his bow press and put the string back on. He laughed at me and said it would be the middle of next week before he could get to it. The guy seemed like a total a$$bag and needs to learn customer service. I ended up driving to Cabelas and they had me fixed up in 10 minutes and didn’t charge me a penny. I will NEVER visit this shop again.
I purchased a new bow from Jim and Madonna in August, and was very satisfied with the bow and the service. In late October, I noticed the bearing on the flex arm of my bow had broken. I immediately took my bow in to be fixed. Jim said the part would need to be ordered from Prime and wouldnt arrive until the the next week. Instead of sending me home with a broken bow, he took the part off of his own hunting bow (in the best part of the hunting season) and put it on my bow so I could hunt that weekend. Needless to say, Jim and Madonna take care of their customers and I will continue to go to Deer Track as long as I live in the area!
I went in there the other day and he completely belittles you. I walked in to get assistance and he asked me to come back because he had to get work done on his truck. He talks down to you like you are dumb and gets mad if you bring in something that wasnt bought by him. Save yourself the time and go anywhere else.
Get years of exsperiance and love for archers. Jim and donna are great folks. Jim helped me set my bow up i bought from him. Jim took his time to show me how all these new bows set up with his tricks of the trade. Jim and donna are so friendly to there customers it feels like ya are family to them. Jim and donna knowledge of archery is astronomically rated in my eyes.
I got a 2018 quest thrive from their and it is a very good bow nice shop
Awesome people ! Jim and Madonna take great care of their customers. I bought a Prime a couple years ago and just took my grandson back today. They were patient and took their time setting up my old PSE bow for him. If you want personal service, this is the place
Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. You will be berated if you dont buy exactly what he wants you to. First, he was mad i didnt purchase the bow through him (found a 2018 model bow $400 cheaper online.) Then he failed to tighten my arrow rest i purchased from him (along with $240 worth of accessories), which resulted in the rest falling loose and me breaking an arrow 3 hours after leaving the shop. When asked for a new arrow, the owner said not his problem, i was probably just trying to get a free arrow.
Jim and Madonna are both extremely knowledgeable about the sport of archery, and very helpful as well. Jim took the time to set me up with a cost-appropriate bow for my skill level and budget ; got me and the bow dialed in; and gave me some pointers on my technique in his range - all in about an hour. Highly recommend.
Outstanding customer service and products. This is a small shop but definitely carry the best of the best. They have high end hoyts and prime bows and also mid grade bows and cross bows at reasonable prices along with accessories. They also have a indoor 20 yard range.
The woman working the front counter was helpful and nice, but the man working on bows berated me for not knowing how to measure myself for draw length. If you know everything there is to know about archery, its a pretty decent shop. If youre a beginner, Id stay away.
Great little mom and pop shop! My son enjoys using the indoor range.
