Jewel Lake Park is always nice. Surprised to see the playground was under construction. The sign said it would be complete in October.

They have 1 grill, 6 metal picnic tables under a covered roof, a set of swings, a pirate boat with awesome slide, and a zip line. There is also a sandy beach to walk on with the lake footage.The only sad issue is that you cannot swim on the water due to Swimmers Itch, a parasite that is in the water.

Clean water and not too cold. Great for paddling

Awesome place to catch some sun, fire up the BBQ, swim or put around in your kayak or canoe. Be warned, it can get crowded on those beautiful days...

Jewel Lake had alot of people but not so many that you couldnt stay 6 feet apart! It was great, a little cold in the Gazebo but in the sun was so beautiful!

The lake (and associated beach/picnic shelter/playground) are a great source of fun for the whole family. However, some of the playground equipment is broken and roped off and you shouldnt rely on using the honey buckets.

Another beautiful park space in Anchorage. If you need a beach getaway this lake is the perfect place.

Its really badass to have a lake so close to home. I love being able to walk from home to the lake in the evening to help my dog unwind and get ready to go to bed. The park is really well maintained also, and it does get busy in the summer. Lifeguards on duty in the summer even. Stellar.

Nothing over the top, just your standard small park with a lake. People that swim there usually get swimmers itch.

We went on a beautiful sunny summer day. The sand was nice, the water was great. I love the new zip-line. There were at least 4 lifeguards on duty. They were attentive reminded swimmers of the rules. Bring food- youll never want to leave!!! The only downside is the limited parking. There are always people parking out on the streets in the neighborhood.

We rented a kayak and used it here. Had a great time, rowing around hanging out with the ducks. Very peaceful and beautiful.

We were there for kids ice fishing tournament.

Its a fun little lake. Ice fishing in the winter and a beach in the summer -- just watch out for the geese.

Took my granddaughter out and loved it.

Its impossible for the muni to keep up with all the goose poop in any water area, but the sand is typically cleaner than the grass at least. The playground itself is small with older wood&metal. Still probably the best beach available here, son loves it.

Thanks to AF&G. Ice fishing for students. Very nice job the AF&G crew were outstanding. Working so very hard to make sure all the kids were having fun. Great job. They made lifetime memories today for all of the ASD kids lucky enough to be there for the experience.We are all lucky to have this dedicated team in our state.

Very clean and family oriented

Has a fun zip line and a playground as well. A nice little beach but the swimmers pitch is a little bad. Just make sure that you shower afterwards.

Fun place to be, good atmosphere, a little crowded on a hot sunny day and there are lifeguards on duty certain hours. Not too deep and the water is pretty clean just a lot of plant matter.

I grew up swimming and fishing in this lake, also ice skating. The water is extremely cold during the summer but it doesnt bother me.

Celebrated a 10 year olds birthday today with a BBQ. Nice place :)

Zipline, swimming, play equipment, spacious field. Just be prepared to ignore duck poo, they lived there before we play there.

Nice and clean. Cant wait for updated equipment to finally be installed its a pretty outdated playground. Sandlake community council is dropping the ball on this one since the equipment arrived its just waiting to be installed..,.

Fun! Great place to let your kids burn some energy. There is a lake, so bring your canoe or whatever youd like to recreate with on a lake.

Fun to go

Great place for family and group picnics. Covered area with picnic tables. It may be windy on sunny days so take a light jacket. Kids can Wade in the water and their is a kid friendly playground. You can fish from the shore or on the Dimond side of the lake from a dock.

Loads of trout. Best fishing Ive done all year.

Love that you can bbq, swim, and fish. Theres also a small little playground, as well as a zip lining for kids. Cleaner than it was 10 years ago. My kids totally enjoyed playing here.

One of the better family friendly parks in town. Its got a lake with a swimming area (lifeguard may or may not be on duty), a cover pavilion, some grills, tables and a kids park complete with a pirate ship, slide and swings.Good parking for a smaller place. Nice big field to play Frisbee, do yoga, medidate or just lay out and enjoy some sun.

Nice family fun with volleyball in the water or on the sand, a playground, a large covered pavilion and a kids zip line. Missing a star because of overflowing trash cans, but it is the start of a holiday week.

Beautiful lake, clean water and sand beach, mini zip line, ping pong table outside, playground equipment, bbq grills, pavilions.

Has a covered area, grills, a large grassy field, sand volleyball court and a swimming area that had a lifeguard--all in a beautiful woodsy surrounding. I thought it was great!

Nice, kids loved the play structures. However no restrooms, kids needed to use the restroom. We had to leave the park.

Nice lake and park. The porta potties were so disgusting that calling them disgusting is an insult to disgusting porta potties everywhere. Would have gotten a MUCH higher review had they been cleaner.

A nice place to relax. Theres a jungle gym for kids, and swimming in the summer. Be careful swimming as there are leaches, although I have never had one there.

Winter walk around the frozen lake which took about 20 mins. Played on the zip line a little, its nicer than others around town

It is a good place for 3-4-5 year oldson to run and play, summer or winter.
