Nice picnic spot.
Always stop here when leaving Anchorage the bathrooms are clean and the kids always love checking out the train. The view is epic aswell
We were incredibly disappointed. Weve had the opportunity to visit this historic landmark multiple times throughout the past 20 years. Each time, it is degraded, neglected, and badly over-looked by state level maintenance. The signage is deteriorating, with much of the paint flaking off. The toilets are filthy and unkempt. The plant life is very over-grown, blocking a once beautiful panoramic view.Sad to say, my family will not be returning any time in the near future.
Great quick stop to know your scenic stops through the bottom of the state park along the Seward Hwy. Being from Nebraska all my life big trains were king, Ive never seen a snow blower up close though. Great history point that will only cost you 6 minutes.
Nice stop before you leave Anchorage. Not a waste of time looking at this snow eating monster. Definitely worth the stop. Restrooms in parking lot.
