Very nice little park, well kept trails but not so urbanized that it feels like a walk in the city. Definitely bring bear spray or self defense items if owned, as wildlife and Anchorages growing community of criminals can and have been seen out here. In the early morning through to early evening, the park and trails are fairly well populated with other walkers and families so you’re probably pretty safe out here, gauge activity by the number of open parking spaces and act accordingly. Be safe out there fellow Trail Blazers!

Love the park...its too bad the illegal campers are there. Lots of trash. I cant understand why people are so trashy.

Its a nice little lake and the trails Ive been on are ok. On a good day you may see light wild life activity - otters, beavers, eagles. Its a good place to walk your dog.

Its pretty nice. There is bike path/running trails access here on both sides. The lake is a little muddy around the back side and small, but it would.be a good place to float around in a little boat. Minimal hobos.

This place has good parking. The trail around the lake is great. The park is connected to the ..... Newly paved Campbell creek trail. The lake has small trout, Campbell creek has some salmon to view and try for with rod and reel.

Great hiking trails around the lake. Very close to town. Excellent trout fishing. I have heard of leeches in this lake, but have not seen any this spring. My dog loves to swim here. No problems yet. Only downside is that you will find sketchy druggies hanging out here very early morning (when I fish). Mid-day and afternoon, this lake is super fun, but busy. River runs right next to it to the North.

Its a pretty small area that leads to more. The main attractions are the circular trails that breaks off into others and the fishing pond here. The fishing pond here is stocked with trout. There are also off-pavement trails that have some nice scenery.

Fantastic, although, can be hard to find (which can add to its charm)... Not too big and not on a main road... Dont bother fishing... And, yes, there are life vests there, but no life guard. We took a raft out and drifted. There were some flat boarders there as well. Tables are there and there are trails and people walk their dogs...

A decent place with decent scenery where you can go for decent walks and decent bike rides to many decent parts of town. Theres a lake and different paths with streams and places to go fishing or take your dogs for a walk. Not as impressive as some of the other trails around town but its a peaceful place to clear your mind if nothing else.

I have going to this lake for 40 years now and its still just as beautiful as ever! Its a great place for kids and pets and a good swimming and fishing hole too! You can go out on kayaks or a canoe and floats as well. I have always loved this lake. We used to call I it C street lake back in the 70s before it was ever named Taku lake.

A nice quiet retreat from the city while still being in the middle of Anchorage! Location and the variety of activities available at the park make this a true gem! The local trails surrounding the lake are excellent for dog-walking or biking and extend across Anchorage. The lake itself is accessible on all sides, which makes it easy to toss a kayak in a float around on a nice sunny afternoon. However, the fishing is sub par compared to other locally stocked lakes and I would not recommend swimming this lake (or any Anchorage lake for that matter).Grassy hills, open fields and nearby local breweries just down the street are added benefits to this local park. Dont overlook it at winter-time either!

Not a park for children. Homosexual meeting place. Went there at 3:25pm with the wee ones looking for a nice place to ride bicycles. Noticed the only people there were men lurking about suspiciously. A few of them were fishing or walking their dog but mostly waiting on the benches.
