My second trip to the lodge. As before it was an awesome trip. Shan and Eric are such great hosts. Jeff our guide was amazing and we really enjoyed his conversations and no pressure approach. Looking forward to coming back next year.

The lodge was beautiful and clean. The employees were great. The fishing guides were not so great. The kind of fishing we did was new to our entire group. The guides told us how to do it, and then fished for themselves, only helping once in a while...except for the young girls in our group who got a lot of help. The guides ate lunch in front of us but didnt offer us any food until two hours later.

Spent 4 days here with my dad over Memorial Day weekend. We had a blast! Everyone was so friendly, the cabins were clean and cozy, and the fishing was great! We will definitely be back next year!!

The hospitality of this family was wonderful! They welcome you to their home with open arms. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! That sopapilla breakfast cheesecake was so wonderful!!! Had to go back for seconds. Thoroughly enjoyed the bonfire. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Visited the Northwoods Lodge as part of a group trip this winter. It was a wonderful experience. Very rustic. The food was great and the team running the lodge is quite accommodating. I took my first ride on a Snow Machine along the frozen river. We even got a glimpse of the Northern Lights. All around a great trip!

Fly-in fishing to a nice location and beautiful lodge. Great for the boys or good for a family. Guides are fantastic and good with people of all ages. Great experience.

A very personalized fishing lodge! Easy access by float plane right up to the dock; take nothing but your clothes with you; enjoy the camaraderie with your guide; enjoy a scrumptious meal with the owner & chef. 4 times for me & 15 times for my hubby.

The Northwoods lodge is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and food was plentiful and gourmet! Shan and Eric are perfect hosts and I cannot forget Yenta, the husky dog, who greeted us as we arrived. It’s a real experience being in the middle of nowhere with all of the amenities to be comfortable. I highly recommend Northwoods for a short getaway or a week long excursion!

Such a beautiful property, at any time of year! We had a group stop in for lunch during a dog sled / snowmachine winter expedition. Not only did our guests enjoy a nice, hot lunch but also some warm Alaskan hospitality. Thanks Shan and Eric!!

I have had the privilege of staying at different lodges along the Yentna river over the past 20 years. I have not found a better lodge, dining, staff, and overall experience than Nothwood’s Lodge. This was not my first time at Northwood’s Lodge and for sure won’t be my last.

I have always dreamed of going to Alaska to watch the salmon runs. I must say that my experience at northwoods lodge fulfilled all my and my fathers expectations. This was a special father and son trip that we wont soon forget . I know that the lodge cant control the number of salmon that come in each year, but it was almost as if they had . There was one point where I thought you can walk on water the fish were so thick - thus I renamed a spot where we fished the Jesus hole Northwoods was in the middle of nowhere and took us three planes to get there, but we were never far enough to not feel at home . Thanks to all the sportsmen and women at northwoods to make my dad and I feel like we were a part of something special
