I just recently had moved back home to AK. So, I needed some help from my family for ideas of whats around, out of all of the options my birthday boy chose H2O Oasis. This is the only water park in the Stae of Alaska, plus, its indoor! I called 2 weeks prior to book a Cabana for a private room/area so I could decorate the room and to have cake & icecream, open presents, etc. I called around noon and spoke to a gentleman about this and how it works out. He said that $99.00 will rent a cabana for the entire day. Then, I asked can we purchase pizza? Or something from your cafe? He said unfortunately no. He said since the Corona virus we cannot sale hot food... But, we have picnic tables outside and you can order pizza for the party for delivery of your choice and eat outside? I was ok with that, no biggie..Then, I asked more details, hours, help, towels, party items etc. He had answered all my questions about the party, but he was not sure on the hours of operation that day. I was excited about the ease of the event that was about to come. So, I put my cc on file to hold our cabana like he stated, and told me that when I arrive the day of then I pay the $99 to receive the cabana. I asked him if there was plenty open that day I chose ours for the party, he said No we have several available that day. When we arrived, my childs father had walked in before I did as I was getting the test of the items. He paid for us then headed to our cabana. I walked in with decorations and asked the front desk for the direction of location of my family. She directed me upstairs so I followed her directions and found my family in a place where I was engaged in the beauty of the tropical island decor, furnished with a tropical island style area with a dome. Made with a frame of metal and of straw. Tropical plants, wicker furniture, coffee table shelves, mini fridge and baskets of towels. I began to decorate the cabana with minecraft decor as requested by my birthday boy. I put all the gifts on the shelves. I put all drinks into the fridge along with the ice cream cake. My family was ecstatic and we were happy. We started to get dressed inside the cabana to get to the water slides. I told everyone you go ahead and I will stay behind the decorate then Ill go into as they left and took their towels, I started to put up all the decorations. I got done, and finished putting away everything and I was ready to go swimming! I thought I was ready to leave the Cabana when I was approached by a woman with a big party who was attached yet separated next to us the only thing holding in between is material, he head weighs me down and I talk to her and he said that that Cabana was rented, she said that she rented and paid for that kabana two months prior. I didnt mention to her that I had also rented that Cabana. Ask her if she would please go talk to the manager and I sent my childs father with her. The owner / manager told my childs dad that she had the first dibs she gets to stay in that Cabana and I had to go. She was the one gets to stay inside the Cabana, he said we needed to move. Dad came back upstairs scared to tell me what happened as I was going too strangle someone lol..I was heated. I went to ask to speak with the manager about this, as I was not aware of any changes or concerns about the situation. I was not ready to move to a new place as I already had it done. The Owner come out to explain th me how this was fair? We talked I was really upset and I got a little loud! I didnt understand at all so he checked the date of when I called I showed him my phone to ensure I was telling the truth and he told me that he was going to make this right he said he was going to but my family stay longer since he got there late he was going to keep the sides going just for us, he treated us like royalty, and gave us a pass to come back another day. He made it right. So I got a new place decorated and my son says But that was the best birthday he ever had! Serious friendly staff. Awesome place! Super fun for the family !!
The wave pool is working(waves are huge)The rides run at intervals for safetyThe kitchen is not cooking food temporarilyBut sweet foods are always stockedHot tub jets are repairedRust has been addressed (mostly) the process is ongoingTook my grandson, had a blast!!!!Will definitely return.
Family had a great time. Not a lot of people when we showed up at opening #COVID. The facility is a little worn down with rust in a lot of places like hand rails. I didnt feel unsafe and I wasnt surprised due to it being an indoor water park. The watet was clean and warm. My only issue was that because there were a limited number of people none of the bigger slides were going. They told us they were waiting until more people showed up.
So happy to finally take my kids swimming last week. It was fun until I spotted a cockroach walking across that middle section between the pools. I was ready to pack and go after that!
Perfect. They had the wave pool and all slides going on rotation. It was the best b day for alora
Fun indoors fun for the winter days.
Water temperature was just perfect. Staff is pleasant.
Its definitely more fun for kids than adults and its a little pricey but my niece and nephews had a smile the whole time
Update: It look likes h2oasis is improving a bit from the last time I was here,Obviously due to COVID-19, theyre not selling hot foods (which is fine, because we usually eat before or after we come), the wave pools been fixed, and their trying to fix their rust issue (which I know takes a while to renovate). So overall, Its nice to know their trying, and I like that. So Ill come back when the renovations done.
We got the VIP party room. It wasnt great, having rust, water damaged sheetrock, damaged furniture, and dirty floors. But the kids had fun, and the kitchen staff went above and beyond to ensure things were addressed. If the place shut down for a few weeks to tidy up and maybe throw a coat of paint on everything, it would be 4 stars easy.
Its not huge, but its big enough to have fun. Especially for kids.
Ive heard mixed reviews, but this place was great! I was given gift certificates years ago, but they dont expire. My nieces had a blast!! The eldest kept riding the water slide and the youngest played on the pirate ship for a long time. My sister and I enjoyed the lazy river. It was a great place to spend a hot, smoke-filled summer day!!
We loved taking our kids here. Their pizza is really good too! The water was kind of cold, but the rest of our experience was great.
Love going here in summer and love that I can go swimming in the winter.
Great place for kids. Good price.
H2Oasis Indoor Waterpark is a community minded company. Our non-profit was given passes to raise money for clean water projects. They were generous and great to work with. A community asset!
Went here for a birthday party and its definitely not worth the money! In the 20 minutes we were in the party room the kinds were getting so hot because there was no ventilation. Lived here for 3 years had never seen a cockroach (until today did not even think they lived in Alaska) but had to kill one in the party room. Two out of the three water slides where broken and off when we showed up. The price is 24.99 for adults with nothing to do for there looked to be a hot tub that was not working. There was what looked like a wave pool with no waves. Walked up to one of the water slides with my son and had to call our doctor to make sure our tetanus shots were up to date.
Dennis was helpful in accommodating for our school fundraiser at Kasuun. Thank you for your generosity! We look forward to swimming and making a splash at the park soon. When I arrived, helping hands directed me to Dennis. Everyone was working diligently to clean and spruce up the facility. I appreciated the kindness from each person’s path I crossed. Thanks again!
What a great place! I had not been here before, but then H2Oasis donated some passes to my sons preschool silent auction. Needless to say, they were a sought after item at the silent auction. My kids had a blast here.
My kids like it and I often took them there, but the price isn’t fair. Where you stay one hour or ten hours you pay the same. It would be better if they give ticket at the gate printed time in and people pay in how many hours they spent. I took three kids to play only one hour and I paid each $24!.
We enjoyed tot time. Good to have a place to bring the little ones in the winter. Although. Could use an update on some things
Really fun and relaxing! Great for the whole family! May need some updates but the friendly staff and awesome experience far out way the age!
What can you say about the only waterpark in Anchorage. Its not bog but it is fun when you go there. Get out of the cold and into a warm atmosphere is always great. The one negative was in the food area when we were there it seemed as the ceiling was dripping on us and our food. Not sure if theres a fix but other than that great place.
Nice place to swim and good work experience people have good customer service there and they dont mistreat their customers thats
Three of the slides were turned off and wave pool had no waves. $90 for two adults and kids. Fine but needs a refresh or price reduction when things are not working.
Not bad for Anchorage. My kid loves it there. It is beat down but we always have a good time there. Bring slippers and towels!
Well for once I have enough time to fully explain how bad my last trip there was, these were the highlights. Young and rude inexperienced staff, only one slide works, and they shut down at 6:30 not 7 because the crew wanted to go home early the front desk lady and the gal who made us pizza was the only good thing about it, and I bet they dont pay either enough! The 16 yo red head with the whistle about pushed me over the limit. 200+$ spent and 1 1/2 hours of fun followed buy 30 minutes of unbelievable ignorance is no fair trade Surprised its still open I will just go to the pool next time. Its sad to see people care so little I know the owner has got to be loosing money. New proper management would be the solution.
If you can look past the rusty corroded metal railings, you can have a lot of fun on the body slide, master blaster double tube ride, and lazy river featuring waterfalls in multiple spots. This place is very safety conscious with life guards in all the major areas. Great for ages 2+
Pretty fun. Great lazy river, a couple good slides. Its not a very big park. Theres a lot more to do if youre ~10 years old. The small kids area is really good. But for older teens, theyre gonna enjoy their first visit, but may tired quickly without much variation in options. Its very much an Alaskan water park.
The place looked really run down and a lot of the rides and services were out of order. However, the Master Blaster was still as exciting as I remembered and the staff were kind. I dont know how long the place can keep it up but Id go again.
My seven year old and I had a great time, prices are a little steep even with discount. Girls at front desk were very nice, but a majority of the lifeguards are rude. I understand rules are rules and drowning is real and I its good that pay attention, but I watched a few life guards interact very rudely adults and children while I was there. If its your summer job at least enjoy what you do, its a choice.
This place should definitely re-look their staff. Seemed like they don’t even care. Definitely a lack of attention to detail makes me wonder what else does not get done.
Fun place for kids.
Thankfully they were open during the Covid-19 Hoax. Just wish they could open all the attractions or lower the price.
H20 Oasis has cleaned up the facilities. A little better. Not slimy as before. However, NOT ALL Slides work!! Only 1 good workable slide. Must be double riding. Single slides dont work. Wave Pool STILL NOT WORKING. Upstairs is so SLIPPERY almost fell a couple of times. But the kids had fun.
My husband and daughter love this place, all in all its great. Only thing maybe it could use some cosmetic tlc but every Anchorage trip we go.
Family fun, affordable. We ate outside and were able to go in and out. It could use a coat of paint to cover rust but the water was clean, lifeguards were attentive, and the free life jackets for little kids were in good condition.
Its a little run down as in the old wavemaker doesent work but it has a great atmosphere the cashier ladies are nice(nevermind it got fixed a wile ago)))
I love this place its so fun plenty of things to do here
We enjoyed our family trip here, and found most of the complaints in the comments to be exaggerated, but there is a kernal of truth to them. There are areas of significant rust on some safety rails, notably leading to the larger slides, but the majority is fine and we didnt find any that placed you in danger of cutting yourself. The water was warm and clean, and our children (preschool are and younger) adored the children areas. We arrived early, which backfired because they dont start the bigger slides until later in the day, which was disappointing. On the bright side, its not very busy early in the day, even on the weekend when we went. The changing rooms are Spartan and concrete, so dont expect a spa experience. Although it would be nice if it was cheaper, we would be happy to go again.
My kids loved to come here for toddler time! It is a great place to teach your kids to swim! I loved to meet up with friends and let the kids play while we talked. Some of the life guards are more attentive than others. I loved that the kids could learn to be confident in the water and they loved all the little slides on the Pirate ship!My oldest even came here on an end of school pool party for fifth grade!
Toddler Time is a great value at only $6 and the calmer environment is perfect before the pool opens to the masses.
Such a great experience at the water park while on vacation with my family. We brought my 4 year old and she had a blast. Friendly staff, great activities and an excellent time with the whole family. So glad to have found this on our visit to Anchorage!!
Glad to have an indoor waterpark in Anchorage. Both kids enjoy their regular visits to waterpark.
We live 130 miles from H2oasis and our 9 year old wanted her 10 th birthday party to be at the indoor water park.We called and set up a reservation for a table upstairs for her partyWhen we got to the place we were treated so well that it was a great experience!John one of the guys upstairs in the food court took care of us perfectly! He was our host.He was just the best. He brought the food out and even brought out a decent knife for us to cut the cake. It was just the best! The kids all played in the park for 5 hours and just had a blast .Your crew treated us wonderful and very graciously. It was the best and easiest birthday party ever.Again John and the crew made it all happenAnd you will love this place.
Thank you to H2Oasis Water Park in Anchorage, AK for giving a generous donation to our local swim teams silent auction. We appreciate you supporting swimming instruction for our youth, and providing a place in town to have aquatic fun! - Aurora Swim Team Boosters
Right when you step through the front doors your immediately hit with a wave of chlorine! Not all of the rides were working, some of the stairs to the bigger slides are a little steep and the rusted railings make it seem a little more dangerous than it should. If you can get past all that this place is actually pretty fun!
Aside from rust everywhere my only complaint is as many times we came here and enjoyed had fun with the kids most the park always closed and favorite slides and wave pool is off or closed and u still get charged full price. Workers always helpful and friendly tho :)
I wish they wouldve kept the place up. Had a good time though
Ok place theres some pros and cons but I still bring my kids there they love it
Loved it, smelled like chlorine.
It’s fun with family but the food isn’t good. Cockroaches are here n there as I personally think they need a new kitchen.
Could use some TLC but not bad. Its relatively quiet in the winter time. Makes for a good time without being over whelmed by people.
MasterBlaster is the biggest slide(2 person tube and you go UP and down, jets of water shoot you uphill in three different places on the ride). But the body slides are my favorites, you can really go fast if you know how... ask the lifeguards for tips or I can post the secrets to max speed if you are interested.
First aid responders (the lifeguards) are on their A+ game! My son had an incident and I believe Bruno (maybe Brandon?) attended him and got other people to assist him. Im so extremely thankful for them.. I cant remember the EMTs name but she performed Heimlich and my son is perfectly fine today.. The place is nice too...
H2Oasis Waterpark donates to many companies and organizations frequently and this past week the Anchorage Press was one of these recipients. We just wanted to say how appreciative and grateful we are! The staff is always so kind and this place is truly one of a kind. THANK YOU for your continued support of local journalism and businesses!
Such a fun place to take the family. They care about their community as well and donated to our schools silent auction! Thank you H2Oasis!!!!
Was a blast.. Would be nice if parents would be more responsible for their kids actions but overall a great place
Everything was as advertised. Service is good prices are expected but if your waiting up top for the kids, dress for tropical weather.
Nice indoor water park. But!!! For the water slide, you need a double person tube. They are provided, they just have 8. This is a joke!! You stand in a line for 15-20 min waiting for a tube. Looks like they need to buy more tubes!!! Cost was $140 for 3 and adults and 3 kids. 1 being 3. So do they pocket the money? Sure dont reinvest in tubes
So, H2oasis was definitely super cool when it first opened over a decade ago, and my kids still absolutely love coming here. I just feel that they charge a lot, yet the place is starting to run down a little. Not sure what it would take to get some fresh paint or something. I do appreciate though that you can be there practically all day, so if you do, you get your moneys worth.
The actual water park is pretty good. But their catered parties really need some work. Food court staff was EXTREMELY disorganized. Food staff had no idea what was going on.
I want to sincerely thank Dennis at H2Oasis for his generous donation to our school. We sincerely appreciate his support and encouragement of our students. Thank you Dennis and H2Oasis!
The place looks like it has not been maintained since the beginning of business which was back in 2003. My 1st born was 2 when it 1st opened and it was a fun place, now you couldnt pay me to step in foot in there. A medical friend of mine recommends not ever going because of all the bacteria in the filthy bathrooms and rusty objects around the building. The place needs to be shut down and needs a complete remodel. If the place was well maintained and looked like a clean, fun, and exciting place to be the price would be ok since its the only water park in AK.
I think when it was first opened, it was great, fun clean, great atmosphere. But it seems to be on the decline since opening. Its sad to see it in such a state. Rusty, mildew, dark and on the decline.
Needs major renovations and updates. The food court needs a reevaluation of standards and sanitation. Overall, the kids enjoyed it, but wish that all the slides and wave maker get fix and open to have full affect of place.
Had a blast with my kids at H2Oasis!! Everything was so clean and spotless the water was perfect temperature. The master blaster did take a while to start running (but my kids are to small to ride anyways). The front desk lady was very sweet and we are looking to invite friends and family to come next time. Thank you H2Oasis!
Fun for all ages, amazing staff, and great food!
Its fun, just put the TLC in the place and it would be amazing
This place is so disgusting. Nothing is sanitary in this place. There are so many safety issues, I am beyond surprised that they are allowed to continue to be in business. There is no way this place is up to code when is comes to the food, the water, the infestation of bugs and the structure of the building. Hopefully no child or person ends up injured. The staff are terrible, not friendly, helpful or concerned for the safety of children. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
My youngest loves this place he never wants to leave when we go to the waterpark.
Place is really fun, been coming here for years. Staff is always 5 stars, overall cleanliness is 1 or 2 stars. Wish they would close for a week or so and get rid of all the rust and repaint everything.
The price to get in is high but the atmosphere is wonderful. The guy at the front counter was very friendly and funny. He joked around with the kids even. I wish I knew their names but theres a few lifeguards that are also extremely friendly and joked around as well. The bathrooms get very dirty throughout the day and it makes it very hard to use them. I wish the staff focused more on cleaning those throughout the day rather than just leaving it nasty. Overall had a great time and would return. Just wish to see cleaner bathrooms.
Had a blast at the worlds 5th largest water park! some of the slides were shut down due to under staff. my kids loved it
Its an indoor water park, the rides are fun but I only ever want to stay a few hours. Was great for a birthday party!
Gross and overpriced but two legit slides. The one with the double raft is super fun with a kid in front. Was annoyed they didnt fire it up till 2 PM (we got there when they opened at noon). Food also good for what it was, could tell cook took pride. I dropped a towel on the floor by cafe and it turned black and a lady threw a poopy diaper on the floor by lockers and walked off. So yeah, its def gross. Take a shower when you get home.
Terrible! Be aware about safety. Majority of metal railing is frail, they do not care about kids safety! BE AWARE!
The facility gives us a place to allow our kids and ourselves to swim in a warm inviting place. Definitely a great place to go when rainy days and being stuck inside start to get to you or the kids.
The water park is a fun place. And the master blaster is thrilling. I like the wave pool most of all. And the endless swimming in the lazy river is good exercise.
Very nice family owned business. The place is very relaxing and very family friendly. I saw a lot of birthdays going on and did not feel crowded. Was able to enjoy water slides and lazy river. They have cabanas that were very comfortable and a great rental if you plan to spend all day. Staff is young but management is very nice. This is def a place we would be going back to.
Wonderful when it was first open. I wouldnt go there now tho
Its really fun there but the dip in dots were sold out but I highly recommend to go on the master blaster
Lots of fun for the whole family.
Not as fun as when they first opened mostly cause every time I have ever come within the last 4 yrs the wave pool is always broken. I have not seen it work in a long time and the water level in the lazy river seems less than 3 ft. Lots of different things in need of repair and updating. But still fun, make sure you have a buddy for the master blaster. And careful what you wear for going down the big body slide.
We LOVE H2Oasis! We are a homeschooling family and H2Oasis does a lot to make sure families like ours have the opportunities to go enjoy their Waterpark a few times a year with other Homeschooling families! They have given us several Mondays throughout the school year to gather and enjoy. I greatly appreciate that quality time they provide their facilities for us all to enjoy. I have read several bad reviews and Im sorry those individuals feel that way. For Alaska, I absolutely love that we have the H2Oasis that my kids can go and enjoy with friends.I was asked to help with setting up the H2Oasis Homeschool Mondays with our homeschool coop and found the Team wonderful to work with, friendly and extremely generous with their efforts in making a few Mondays a year something special to look forward to!Their staff has always been helpful for us if we have needed.
The staff are helpful and friendly. You can stay all day. Its a pretty good place to have a kids birthday party, especially in the winter.
The Great Alaska Council appreciates the support of H20asis Indoor Waterpark to our Annual Auction! Thank you!
It was enjoyable and entertained our 4 kids (ages 3, 6, 10, 11) for quite a few hours. A little disappointed that the 3 year old was charged full price yet, wasnt tall enough for any of the slides. Slides were a lot of fun however, the stairs getting up were extremely steep (difficult for anyone with little legs or not so fit) and railing was beyond rusted...made me slightly nervous in some areas.Bathrooms were unkempt.Lifeguards were on phones, playing with nails/hair, talking to friends, or staring at ground more than watching water areas. Keep an extra close eye on your children! It was overall enjoyable especially as its the only one in the area but, I cannot say we would return in the future without improvements/updates
Was maga fun looking forward to returning next year
There were cockroaches and the life guards were rude. Also the place looks disgusting. DONT GO THERE
Fun family entertainment with a pretty good concession stand. It is VERY humid inside; yes its an indoor water park, but the humidity surprised me. The facility is starting to look a little worn but still plenty of fun! They alternate which of the big slides is available.
Great place for toddler time!
Water and whole park is cold. Lifegaurds are rude
So much fun great place to go when you want to have family time!
Really nice staff, when there is a problem they always are confident to fix it and they do!!!They have Awesome rides! We have always needed something like this in Alaska!
Great place to go, good prices. as far as the poor reviews on the conditions its a water park, in alaska. kids love this place, its a good place to go
